  Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool cleaning tool allows to remove Acrobat, then restart your system.

  Hi aleeg81, it sounds like the power of the backlight may be suffering from malfunction any or there is a loose video connection. Have you tried to adjust the options and the brightness of the screen to see if it improves things to save energy? If the problem persists and your laptop is under warranty, I would recommend send to Toshiba for investigation. Twinkle is not normal and should not be tolerated if your laptop runs hot or not.
