• Yoga 2 Pro advertising plays when the computer goes to sleep

  Hello, so I recently bought a Yoga 2 Pro and have almost no complaints. One small thing I noticed is that my computer from time to time upon entering the mode "ensure" with the lid open, instead of displaying a black screen as planned will instead show an advertisement stating "4 NEW MODES, LENOVO YOGA 2 PRO" and will begin to show a video advetisment.

  I would rather the computer make a traditonal sleep mode when the lid is left open, how can I disable this advertising? I tried to play with the sleep settings in windows, but not luck. This occurs when both on battery and plugged in. I also tried to uninstall the software of Lenovo's Transition, but that did not help. Any ideas? It seems that the computer may be in demo mode?   This is the default screensaver.

  To change it, right-click on the desktop, select Customize, then select the screen saver at the bottom right. You can then make changes in the window that appears.

  For me it looks like you might have a motherboard problem. Formatting removes the chance that it is a software problem. Try taking 1 stick of RAM and test with it.   I use a 3 - year-old HP Pavilion Entertainment PC with Windows 7. After some previous issues with malware I recently restored my PC to factory settings and since then have downloaded only Chrome, Microsoft Word 2010, origin, Norton Security Suite and a few other programs I know are safe. I've traveled 180 updates (I don't know why there is so much of...) and everything seems to go well until yesterday morning when I turned on the PC and the cursor blinking (flashing and turn off quickly). I tried to disable Aero, try different non-Aero cursors, and close all programs so the CPU would be low but it kept flickering. Happens in all and any program, it gets faster once using Google Chrome or scrolling in the toolbar. The cursor flashes when using the trackpad, a wired mouse I have, and when using my Wacom tablet. It is not affecting the performance of the computer either, but it's extremely annoying. I scanned for virus, nothing found. Watched the updates for my computer, nothing. I rebooted several times, nothing. It's really frustrating and any advice would be appreciated.

  Open Lightroom

  Go to Lightroom preferences in the Edit menu

  Click the performance tab

  Deselect the graphics processor

  Restart the Lightroom

  I recently bought a Yoga 2 Pro, and I love it, except for an extremely annoying issue.

This morning I use this connected to a monitor of periperal via HDMI with the lid closed, and it was fine for about an hour and then started switching of the modes - tablet, back to laptop, the marquee, stand up, back to laptop, for tent...

  One of the benefits of its use with peripheral keyboard are the other modes don't disable the keyboard, but it is to randomly change the orientation of the screen. When I used it on its own without the devices, I can be typing away in the configuration of the laptop and all of a sudden it switches modes and the laptop is disabled.

• Yoga 2 Pro - keyboard is not activated when you open the lid of the screen after sleep

  My Yoga 2 Pro has very often problems to activate the keyboard when I open the screen.

  That's what I do:

  -work with Yoga 2 Pro

  -Close all applications and after that, I close the screen

  -After some time (maybe a few minutes or several hours) I open the screen

  -It will take a few seconds until the screen is turned on (which is expected)

  -at least 50%, the rest keyboard disabled. The backlight cannot be activated and the laptop does not notice any key. I'm unable to log :-(

  -J' I need to close the screen, it takes a few seconds - and when I open the screen for the second time, the keyboard is enabled - not always, but usually. But sometimes the keypad remains disabled, although I try the procedure several times. If that happens, I need to restart the machine.

  All the drivers are up to date.

  @Lenovo: Please indicate how to solve this problem! It's very annoying open-close-open-close-open-... the display up to what the keyboard is finally activated!

  I was wondering if anyone else has this probem stuttering when I look at videons on the yoga 2 pro? I configuring i5/256/8 GB of ram, but really, watch videos should not be a problem for the configuration even lower?

  It was just a normal 480 resolution on youtube video. He had nothing to do with the settings manager energy wasn't endurance mode, cause I just use my laptop under normal parameters. Actually, I found another thread where the guy had the same problem, and fixed it by increasing the size of virtual memory file / page. I followed his instructions, and it seemed to have done the trick. Interestingly, the virtual memory is supposed to be 1 or 1.5 times your ram, but my virtual memory file size / page is only 1 GB from my 8gbs of ram. Maybe it has something to do with the lozenges of limitation, who knows!   Tried that, but it did not work.  Finally got and IT guy come and it took him 3 1/2 hours to repair.

  Need a bootable floppy which has then repairs itself.

  Lesson learned.  Have an available for each computer startup disk.

  Having bought my new laptop A100-306 in December, I have now problems with the cursor flashes quickly (and disappears completely when the mouse is not moved) on some applications/games such as the Sims 2 and Home Designer 3D 3D.

  It of possible that the simple Intel 945GM graphics card 8 MB - 128 MB shared memory is not powerful enough to play games and 3D applications.

  PS: Try to change some settings in the Intel graphics card settings. You will find the 3D settings button. You may need to activate something. Play a bit with this function
