Why my installation of Acrobat XI takes 8.9 GB of disk space?

After installing Acrobat XI on my Win 7 machine, I did all the updates with the last v11.0.11 yesterday. When using programs and features, I realized that my installation went an incredible GB 8.9. How is that possible? Any idea?

Most of this space will be in the WIndows Installer database, maintaining copies of each patch and the files it contains, even if replaced in patches later. It's just how big it is.

  • 5 Lightroom takes half of my boot disk space.  What can I do to reduce the which?

5 Lightroom takes half of my boot disk space.  What can I do?

    The files include catalog.ircat, ircat-journal, log.ircat.lock, backups, preview.irdata...

The presence of the journal and the locking file indicates that you are trying to pass the folder with Lightroom running.

This is not going to work. Close to Lightroom, and then copy the folder on the external drive.

Once you have all this work, you can delete the original folder.

  • Since the installation of creative cloud, I noticed a lack of disk space, recently I found CC had been storing GB of log files, how can I stop this nonsense?

Since the installation of creative cloud, I noticed a lack of disk space, recently I found CC had been storing GB of log files, how can I stop this nonsense? 40 GB of space on my SSD HARD drive was recovered today by disabling the 8.1 windows temp folder. I was wondering what "ACC 22/04/2015-10-09 - 26.log" etc, and when I opened the I was shocked to discover Adobe CC was bringing together these huge logs on my computer since I bought and installed last month. WTF Adobe, how can I turn off or limit, as writes to the SSD of constantly to kill them and I do not consider your logs to be important use of space.

  • 'Other' take a lot of disk space. Is this normal?

Looking at the disk utility, "another takes place half of the disk space. Is this normal and if this is not the case, how I find what is take up space?

It's probably normal. The other refers to all files no audio, no video, no photo, no - app. You can easily find what takes up the space with small applications such as:

  • Is it possible to move the \windows\installer folder? The reason why I ask is because it takes a lot of space and I want to move it to another disk with more space.

The \windows\installer folder takes a lot of space and I want to move it to another drive if possible. Ashwin

No, I don't think. Just about anything in the Windows directory cannot be moved. You will need to find another way to clear disk space. Try to compress your drive hard (if you don't know how, ask).

  • installation of acrobat problems

I need to reinstall Acrobat Pro XI after a failing of the old mac migration.  I have a new iMac, is the latest OS, chrome is the last, 16 G ram 3T hard drive... a lot of memory and space.  I downloaded the software (tried both methods on the Web site and was able to download each way), but the installation fails near the end (written files, etc. but then defective).  Error message says simply: "Installation failed. Setup has encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

    Appreciate any assistance.

Found a solution, but not one of them.  I restarted my computer and an error box came that I had to reinstall Adobe create clouds.  I clicked on the link, download CC and then restart the installation of Acrobat.  And it worked.  Who knows why... but yes!

Note: The installation of Acrobat Pro XI deleted my install Acrobat X Pro.  Were complements of PDFMaker works fine with X.  Due the fact that X has been removed, I have no fallback option.

Is it possible that I'm missing a file?

  • Installation of Acrobat 9 on CS5

My computer recenty died. I just got most of the components of Creative Suite CS5, installed on my new PC. I had already installed Acrobat on my old computer of my old creative suite CS4. I started to install Acrobat 9 from the CD of the suite CS4 and Setup looked like he was installing a bunch of dependent files, so I gave up installing. I don't want to spoil my CS5 install with a bunch of expired files. So, can I go ahead and install Acrobat 9 of my suite CS4 without messing up my installed CS5 components? -THANKS!

I have (paid version) CS5 Master Collection... and received TWO install numbers... one for CS5 and another for Acrobat, which is also on a separate, with a separate drive and install the program

That's why he like me Acrobat is really a completely separate program included with CS5 MC under the beam, but managed separately from the main installation

  • Why is this Windows driver Package take 37.3 GB?

My drive hard to say that it is almost full, which surprises me. I check in programs and features, and it is said that my most important program (by far) is "Windows Driver Package - Cirrcus Logic, Inc. (CirrusFilter) MEDIA (13/10/2009 6.6001.1.16)"-which weighs in at 37.3 GB. "."

I can't find information on the program, but it takes place half of my Windows partition. I found a page Yahoo! answers where a guy and his only fold unanswered were astonished that a similar program were taking up to 8 GB... But 37? What is this monster?

I use a MacBook with Windows Vista on BootCamp. I don't know what other system specifications. I have to give. Thanks in advance for your help.

20 GB is a very small amount of disk space for Vista or Windows 7.  Allocate more disk space.

"sheffee" wrote in the new message: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy... *

I use a Macbook Pro and started twice as well, and I allocated only 20 GB because I'm using a program under Vista, but all of these updates are too much space. Is this because Vista is older and this is why there are so many updates? Should I just use Windows 7? It's frustrating because I have no more space on the left but as 57 Ko... KILOBYTES! >:(

  • Error 28000 (licensing module does not have) on the installation of Acrobat DC.

I receive the error 28000 (licensing module does not have) on the installation of Acrobat DC. The installation is on a new computer Windows 10 Pro. Installation was attempted at the start using Dell's digital delivery program, but have also tried installing after downloading directly from Adobe. I used the cleaning tool and tried to install it again with the same result. I tried installing using the administrator account with all services non - Microsoft Startup and antivirus disabled and received the same error message. I restored the system to a point before the initial setup attempt was made and tried to install it again and received the same error.
