Why my PDF is rasterized when I place/open it?

I have this problem where whenever I place or open a pdf or a layered in InDesign file it will automatically rasterize it.  Is there a setting that makes it?  My other computer maintains transparency when I opened a pdf or a layered file, so I think that its an easy fix but im stummped.  Help, please!

It drives me crazy! Sometimes, when I place a new image, my whole design fades. Maybe it's because the new image has a transparent layer? How can I handle this? I use CS6.

I suspect that the images are RGB and you have your space of merger of transparency put in CMYK. Try resetting to document RGB (Edit > space of merger of transparencies...)

Thanks a lot for your help!

    It depends on.

If you have the drive, then it only recognizes your user preferences.

If you have Acrobat, you can go to file > properties > Page display > view original and set it to anything you want.

  • When I place my photos in InDesign my pictures become adjusted...

I don't know why this is happening, but when I place a photo (.psd or .png) in my documents, scale becomes very wobbly. (i.e., he becomes very long and skinny or it widens just the image) The proportions of my photos just became very weird. So, I wonder as to why this is happening? Would it be because of a problem of style guide? If Yes, where can I change this? I added a picture which should erase I hope that my explanation. Thank you! PS I would put their scale everything manually, but I work for a magazine, and I don't want to do this with each item I'm affected...

  • When you place an image in InDesign, it seems pixelated.  It is a 66 MB file in a 6 x 9 "paper.

I'm new to InDesign, I created all of my documents for printing in Acrobat PDF format.  When I place an image, it will appear pixelated.

    Hello

This is an expected behavior, when you place an image in InDesign, then it displays a preview of the image but you has no impact of the exit, unless the image is of low resolution itself.

In order to have the correct resolution of images, you can switch to view > display performance > high quality.

  • I'm trying to set parameters when you place a PDF file in Illustrator...

When I use the option "Place."... "in the file menu I was invited with a box to make the setting of 'Culture '. As "Art" or "Entourage", etc.

When I place it with a script it is defaulting to the 'Art' right now and this isn't what I want.

Can I change this from a script?

    Any help would be appreciated!

I think I might have figured this out

      var newDoc = app.documents.add();
                app.preferences.PDFFileOptions.pDFCropToBox = PDFBoxType.PDFBLEEDBOX;

If I set the PDFBoxType (pictured above) just after I create my document it seams to use these settings when I place an image in this document!

    Hello

You have the version of office of MS Reader/Acrobat but posted the question in the wrong forum.  This forum (all communities > Reader/Acrobat DC for mobile) corresponds to the mobile version.

On your computer Windows, please try to open the PDF document in other non Adobe PDF viewers to see if the image becomes gray.  You can even drag and drop your PDF from Google Chrome (browser) document to open it.

If most PDF viewers that you have tried to show the grey area, you can conclude that the PDF document (generated by Microsoft Word 2013) itself is defective.  This means that Microsoft Word 2013 bug (s) to convert Word to PDF.

I recommend you to visit the site of Support of Microsoft Word 2013 to get answers.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why my text does not disappear when I place it on the page in CS4?

The block of text is visible. Is there a setting I used by mistake? The text in the frame is visible on the editing table, but when I place it on the map, I get the indicator of small red overflow on the text block. Can not understand this one. It is in its own layer on top. Thank you.

Looks like you put it on something that has an applied text wrapping.

  • Why are case-sensitive in the wrong place?

Why are case-sensitive in the wrong place after conversion?

If you want Acrobat to replicate your results, you must either use a program layout (as Design) or select the Adobe PDF printer in the print of your application menu before making your layout. Most processors redistribute the document based on the printer which is attached (i.e., it uses the settings of the printer). If you change the printer so that in WORD for example, the layout in WORD can change radically. This is what happens when you use the Adobe PDF printer. This isn't a question of Acrobat, but a word processor.

MS out of printer settings in WORD with the first version of OFFICE 2007, but it seems to be back on by default. I guess they found, there was reason to leave it on (the box is buried in the menu options in WORD). This aspect of reflow is one thing that creates major problems for developers of WORD forms of WORDS. Depending on the machine, the shape may ebb and part go to the next page if not careful (I've had these types of forms before, particularly where people are trying to learn a lot on the page).

Neither one of us know if we have answered your question because you give enough information to be able to tell. The key for almost any application is to change the printer to the Adobe PDF printer before you do business with any document. On my laptop, the Adobe PDF printer is the default and modify other printers if I happen to be connected to them.

  • Dialog import image when you place images

All of a sudden I have this annoying dialog box when I place images in the ID of the CP (options import Image). I went through my prefs, but there is no obvious place to turn off this feature? This is one of those ugly surprises expected whenever Adobe puts a so-called upgrade. I'm tired little of it. Why Adobe - WHY?

When you choose file > Place to select the file, the Import Options checkbox appears at the bottom.

When you see the file, double click on it: instead, click once the file you want, and then uncheck the Import Options, and then click OK. As Steve says, this box is in a sticky State. Once you get is off, you can go back by double clicking on the name of the file.
