I have a new wide screen LCD TV with a VGA port, I connected this with my old Satellite 5205-s505 via the VGA port as the second screen. But it displays 'unsupport signal' on the TV screen.

    Can someone have the answer.
    Thanks anyway.

    Hey,.

I think that it s according to the external display what resolutions it supports.
Normally, your computer user manual laptop, you will find a list of the supported screen resolutions and you should check this!

I also recommend to install the last page of Toshiba display driver.

  • How to activate the resolution wide screen to external monitor on Equium A60?

    Hello

I had an Equium A60 with an ATI Radion 7000 mobility grahpics chip in it. Earlier the LCD is dead and has decided to use an external monitor rather than replace it. However, the external monitor is a monitor 22 '' widescreen computer does not provide a display suitable for resolution. Is it possible to update the graphics driver to provide the wide screen formats. I looked on the toshiba updates, but there is nothing new there, and ATI are not ready to support offer it on a laptop.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can't choose your preferred resolution because the graphics driver does not support.
Eventually the 3rd party driver support your favorite display resolution, but to be honest I wouldn't use these drivers because it could cause serious difficulties for laptop.
The point is that these 3 third-party drivers are untested and not certified by Toshiba.
Therefore, the use is at your own risk.

  • How to activate the resolutions of wide screen on Satellite Pro A10

    Hello

I looked through various positions through the forums, but have not found how to activate the wide screen on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 resolutions.

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19677

The solution in the 2nd post won't work because the A10 has an Intel graphics card, not a Nvidia. He suggested also, modify the INF of the graphics driver, but to extract the driver (SA10B2DP.exe) file includes an installer, but no INF.

Just look to see if anyone has any advice on how to activate the resolutions such as 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050.

    Hello

you mean on the external screen, Don t you? If you have an intel chipset graphic why Don t you download the drivers from the website of intel.
Maybe it offers a resolution of the external display.

I don't know if the res external can be set to widescreen on this chipset as the drivers are somewhat limited...
Can you describe what monitor you have and how you connect it to your machine. (d-sub or DVI)?

    Would appreciate some reactions :)

  • Cannot set resolution wide screen on Satellite A100

I have a Hanns G HG216D 22 "(visible de 21,6")) LCD display external, who hails from WSXGA (1680 x 1050) and is horrible to other resolutions. "
I can't select the correct resolution in XP or Vista (I know, because having failed I restored (clean install of authentic Pro with SP2 disc) XP then failed on XP used a Vista Business Upgrade disc to try Vista.)
    But nothing helps: (.)

The laptop is a Toshiba A100 PSAA8 with a graphics processor Intel 945 G Chipset.

    Here's what I've tried:

There is a driver on the disk of the specifically labeled monitor as for Vista 32-bit, so I used the disc have... 'trick' via Device Manager to force Vista to use this INF file, I tried adding EDID (or was - this CSD, something like that) data to the pilot (after driving backward before re - apply incase she thought it was the same driver), I tried PowerStrip, although I'm not familiar with it, 99% some it work well (, one of the first things I tried was using the specially created driver for this chipset that is designed to solve this problem very issue (http://www.Intel.com/support/Graphics/SB/CS-028366.htm)), any ideas?

The LCD has DDC2 and activated but EnTech MonInfo cannot get any data from it. I think I should go back to Linux; never had a technical problem I can't solve there (only DRM related issues, etc.), only problem I use this machine for work and don't mind using virtualization for some things but not for "critical to pay my rent" stuff!

I don't have another machine to test the screen either, as my sister lost with my laptop alternative.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

    Hey Buddy,

Then I read a little in some forums on your question. The first question is: have you updated your BIOS? It's really important because many users in the forums Ubuntu has reported that, after that an updated bios updated widescreen stuff work. Since the you´re works with Vista, I would say firstly you update your BIOS, remove all drivers display with 'Driver Cleaner Pro' and then try the drivers from the website of intel again (as an especially for this wide screen problem)

Maybe it works, I confused why it doesn't since this chipset is designed to pull many of the higher resolutions and even all res widescreen 1680 x 1050 and 1440 x 900.

Just give a short answer on your situation. :)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro P300 - 23L: can't get screen Toshiba Leading Innovation

This is a cut and paste from a previous post, but the one I'm having a problem with today (save me typing again!):

When I start my laptop, it stops on the first screen of the Toshiba innovation and only gives the opportunity to do two things. That's what he said to prevent the page * "Press F2 to enter Setup, F12 to access the selection of Multiboot Menu" * I tried both. I pressed F2, I press F12 and no one bothers me pst screen

-When I press on either after the Toshiba screen is visible, they do nothing
-If I press "F2" at the start, upward, the instructions at the bottom of the page says "Please Wait". However, I waited for hours and nothing ever happened. The "Please wait" message just sitting there.
-If I press F12 during startup, upwards, the instructions at the bottom of the page says "press F2 SETUP, Entering boot device selection menu... "Then he is there and does anything just
The screen Toshiba Leading Innovation remains all the time.

I have tried removeing the battery and draining flea power - this does not solve the problem.

When I restart the laptop, I get the situation according to the line 1 above. No amount of tap F8 does nothing... I'm still back to the page of the main Innovation of Toshiba.

The fan works, but the HARD disk led never sparkles.

    Any suggestions please? Thank you

    Hello

If the laptop is unable to pass the home screen Toshiba (POST-puissance on self test) then this behavior of the laptop is mainly related to a serious hardware problem.

The defective HARD drive would not cause such a problem, because even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop must be able to pass such screen...

So I guess there is something wrong with the RAM or the motherboard.
Here you can check how to remove the RAM modules and insert the new memory:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/CRU9902O80001R01.htm

If the problem is not related to defective RAM, then other parts like the motherboard (maybe module BIOS EPROM) must be verified... but such verification requires additional special tools and that's why I think it would be a job for a laptop technicians...

  • Windows XP Home edition does not charge up - screen Toshiba and then nothing

I opened my computer to stand by earlier. And received an error message such as:

WINDOWS CANNOT CONTINUE RUNNING BECAUSE THE FILE IS DAMAGED AND UNREADABLE...
Then he had a countdown until it restarted. After the computer restarted (loads of screen toshiba upwards) then nothing happends. I managed to get into the safe mode start page, but when I select start in safe mode, it does nothing, actually freezes. Seems that the problem is with XP.

I also tried to "last good configuration" but who also refuses to load.
I can, however, in the BIOS.

The black and white background writes startup screen that flashes briefly upward when after that the toshiba screen doesn't even come to the top.

I have a P100-429 Satilite using XP SP2 (or 3) does not remember.

Is this a hardware problem? I lose data?

I am aware that my system was clean and I was using a good anti-virus.

Please please let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

    Thanks in advance, Max...

    Hi RisSsky,

you are in a deep deep sh... t... No. not really...
Looks like the filestructure hard disk is damaged.
the hard drive is recognized by the bios? means, it is listed as a device?
There is a sound of the hard drive? scratch or buzzing or ticking?

CHKDSK may help, but I would 'safe mode' where you want not to lose data on disk.

don't panik, we will do things.

2 options to solve this problem:
    the first and save:
-Remove the old hdd (you need later)
-get a new hard drive and make a recovery/installation on the new drive.
-also get a usb - hdd connector to access old data hdd and copy on the new disk.
    or the 2nd:
-run chkdsk on your hard drive, maybe you need to do this with a "live-system-on-cd.
Be aware that if there is a problem it will get worse...
    -start in safe mode

If you're lucky, the 2nd option will do.
as said before I'd do it "the safe way.

    Hello

The question is what that jack the external display supports?
I think that you can connect each external monitor, but you must be sure that the laptop will support the cable from the laptop.
In addition, the resolution of the screen may be different. As far as I can remember that some screen resolutions are not listed in the properties of the graphics card. But I think that you don't need to use the resolution of the screen exactly one.

I recommend taking the laptop at the dealership to monitor and its connection. You can check the output quality of monitor and what resolutions are available and taken care of. I think that testing before buying something are very useful.

  • Wide screen is not fully used (Win XP, Service Pack 3)

Bought a Monitor wide screen LCD (Asus VE276Q) to replace my existing LCD display.  RGA is an entry.

Problem: The wide screen is not fully used.

Symptom: When starting, during Win XP Welcome screen, it seems that takes full advantage of the wide screen.

But when he moved to the office (or a web page), about 3 inches on the left and right sides are not used.

What I tried: play with the buttons on the monitor, but may not have to work.

Question: How can I get Win XP to fully use the display on the big screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Type of incorrect monitor selected by Vista on new wide screen

Not sure if it's category material or configuration.   I changed a conventional monitor widescreen Acer F22.  I can't set the correct resolution.  Device Manager indicates that a generic PNP and Nvidia Control Panel it's a Dell 1702.  Acer does not available Vista driver then, how can I change the type of monitor for a wide screen with the correct resolution capabilities?

    Thank you

    Hi clydex2,

    • You try to adjust the resolution via the Nvidia Control Panel or through the Vista display settings?
    • What type of monitor displayed in display settings?
    • What is the highest resolution that you are able to select this screen?

If you had loaded a driver Acer and were able to set the resolution, then you can try to back the driver after that update.

    1. Right-click on the device and go to Properties
    2. Select the driver tab
    3. Select restore driver

  • Questions about a range wide screen color

I have a range wide screen, and I experienced issues in color between color, management applications, and those who do not have color (like IE, or even the OS Win itself - displaying icons etc.).
I calibrated the epic screen with Spyder and applications that manage the color work fine, but when I view the same images in Internet Explorer or windows default viewer, I get oversaturated colors.
I discovered that this is because the default system uses sRGB as the color profile, so when an Adobe RGB profile equivalent is sent to the value default sRGB - system based, it "compresses" the colors with the result the supersaturation.

I found a frame that I think should be the case (see the screenshot attached), but it makes no difference when going to "wide gamut RGB", nor the monitor profile (which is also wide gamut).

Could you please tell if there is a way to set up in Windows 7 if the colors are displayed correctly in the managed without color applications?

Under color management, the device profile has the default value of the system (sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1)

    Hi Helen,

Different types of devices have different color characteristics and capabilities. For example, your monitor may display the same color scheme that can reproduce a printer. This is because each device uses a different process to produce color content. Scanners and digital cameras have different color characteristics. Even different programs sometimes interpret and process colors differently. Without a consistent color management system, the same image can look different on each of these devices.

I suggest you try the steps from the following link and see if that helps.

    Change color management settings

Post us the results after trying the steps above.

  • I'll buy a range wide screen for the right reason?

I currently shoot Adobe RGB, correct color using XRite color passport (when I can), test in lightroom and print using a Canon Pixma pro 9500 mk2.

I use photo munki color to match my two monitors to my printer and I have enough happy with my results. However both my monitors are sRGB, during proofing I often get warnings from the range of monitors.

My plan is to keep a sRGB for the web and games and replace the other monitor with a range wide screen.

I get a new monitor independently, so I was wondering if I should get the following screen:

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/GP/product/B00B1QTZOE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8 & PSC = 1

    for the following reasons:

    1. The only thing in my workflow that can not handle a wide range is my monitor
    2. It is seems the best value for a range wide screen
    3. I think I can use my existing hardware standard to create profiles to keep constant color, so if the monitor is calibrated in the factory is not relevant
    4. The calibrator built controversial material is not a big problem for me because I have my own equipment

    Am I missing something?

Should I spend the extra money on a NEC or an Eizo?

I'm not a professional; However I like to shoot and print. I want to print to be the best it can. I understand that I can get good results with sRGB workflow, but it really upset me when I want to print a photo that clearly my monitor struggles to make.

I always recommend Spectraview 272 - if you have the money for it. The only one to compete with it is the Eizo CG 276.

It is much more than the range, it's true colors, good tonal separation all the way from 0-255 and consistency from corner to corner. And hardware calibration ensures absolutely smooth gradients without color or tonal stripes.

There is no problem; It is a myth strangely long life. There was a little problem with pre - SP1 Vista, where the LUTE was put at the door when the monitor went to sleep or the UAC has been invoked. It has been corrected in SP1 and has never been seen since. The only other possible problem is a Stallion without support monitor multiple (as the Spyder4express), but you can't blame Microsoft for this.
