WIDI problem with XPS 18 - Win 8.1

Hello

A long time ago I updated the XPS to Win8.1 18. As it is written in the form, I want to connect it via WIDI. But this is not possible, that I can't find it on the right side of the Windows form. Drivers Dell´s download page it is just an application of WIDI XPS 18 including Win 8.0.

Yesterday I installed the Windows updates, including new Drivers Intel, but it did not help :-(

How can I get can work with Win 8.1?

    Hello

After you perform a clean installation of Windows 10 I had problem with closing down my pc, it's a bug to win 10. So I decided to reinstall Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire M3920 of my recovery DVD made by Acer eRecovery management.

The problem is, Setup stops and the #1 restore disc pops out after that the files were loaded from disk and is ready to begin the installation.

This is the message: "there isn't enough free disk space on the drive for the files needed to continue the operation.

PS: Before installing Windows 10, I deleted all the files and partitions on the hard drive. Maybe it's the origin of the problem?

  • Problem with upgrade to Win 8.1

I tried to upgrade my computer laptop Win 8.1 8.1 WANT DV7-7230US win via the App store. He said I erase all the updates first. So I went to the screen updates to the system. When I clicked it to see what updates are required. The indirect approach wait symbol appeared and never went away. I can't do system updates, so I can't download and install the FREE Win8.1 upgrade.

Think I found the problem. There was a program called "Enhanced Updater" installed. According to Google, this is one of those who gets downloaded with another program that you download from a web site. I uninstalled the program, and then the window update started working. Now I can access the upgrade from 8.1 to win on the store, but when the long part download, it stops with an error of download.

  • I am about to give up... internet problems with XPS M1530... Please help...

Ever since day 1, I could not surf the net easily with my new XPS M1530.  I can access the internet via my Linksys BEFSR41 router without problem.  However, most of the time, I have to ask a 2,3,4,5 times reclicking or refreshing a page.

I studied the problem widely.  Make each tweak Vista that I could find for the performance.  Updated the drivers 4965AGN... updated the video card drivers... not made sure no anti-virus is installed and running.  Turned off the Windows Firewall, etc.  Nothing helps.  I have 3 GB of RAM and be sure that nothing else is running in the background.  I even turned off non-critical Windows services.

I have 4 other laptops, this running XP that work perfectly.  I have this problem even when connected to the router via ethernet cable.  Something is blocking the responses of sites, or they get lost somehow.

I'm ready to chuck the mnachine by the window.  Is there a Holy Grail or someone has all the tracks on what to do next?

    Thank you!

Just found this after having exactly the same problem me!  I am on Windows 8, also on an iMac mid-2011.

Never had a problem before, but after starting Windows today (for the first time for a while, it is true) the mouse works fine, but the keyboard "failed to start.

I tried to repair the bootcamp drivers, but it made no difference.

Currently having to use an old wired USB keyboard, which works very well.

When I boot to OS x, the keyboard works without any problem.

Windows can see the bluetooth key word, but it's always offline.

  • Problem with T500 Intel 5300 AGN WiFi fixed...

I finally found the solution to my problem today, and I write this information in the hopes that someone can verify in their environment, what I found in mine.  Also in the hope that it will save someone else the weeks of effort it took resolve.

To summarize, my problem was that I was able to stream audio or video from my local network or from the internet without losing connectivity frequently or permanently.  This problem started when several months ago I updated my laptop for Win 7 Professional of Vista Business.  I don't meet with the problem in Vista.

Today, I have determined that the problem is that I am under mixed mode on my LAN that is apparently supported by Win 7 for the Intel 5300 driver.  My router is D - Link DIR-655, which is a 802.11n router can be configured for mixed mode support.  I'm running that he configured for support because my wife's cell phone supports n and g as g.  I booted up my laptop today and I began an audio stream from my server and to my surprise it worked perfectly, just as it should.  I listened for a while and all of a sudden the music started to jump.  I noticed that my wife had started just his cell phone around the same time the jump began.  On a long shot, I went to the advanced configuration of the 5300 and disabled 802.11n support forcing them to disconnect and reconnect to 54 Mbps.  This action restored my audio stream immediately and I progressed to test several LAN and WAN connectivity actions (browser, e-mail, etc.) which previously guaranteed a discontinuity in the flow.  Everything continued to work exactly as you would expect.

I feel that the problem is with the driver 5300 rather than my router because to solve the problem, I have disabled 802.11n on the 5300, not on the router.  The D-Link still works in mixed g/n mode 802.11.  Also, I have a laptop Lenovo T61, which also has a good Intel WiFi AGN adapter to a different model.  This laptop works in n mode with no connection problems, either via the same router D-Link.

I hope that someone else on this forum allows to reproduce my results in their LAN/WAN environment to confirm that there is a problem with the driver Win 7 currently available for the 5300.  Thanks to Lenovo technicians, who spent several hours on the phone with me and even sent me a new adapter 5300 at a time, thinking that maybe the problem.

Okay, more than 24 hours now without any problems, 2.4 ghz and full rate of 270/300.  As with the GSM card, I tried the latest vista driver intel 5300 and poof, no problem loading.

I decided to do so after testing with some dual-band routers.  I noticed that it worked well on 5 GHz, but if it is locked at 2.4 it had problems with all routers.  It also worked well with dlink adapter USB N on 2.4 ghz.

Since he had worked in vista with 2.4 ghz, I decided to try this driver and was able to put all the settings back to full (power transmission, optimizations, etc.).

13.0.0.107? seems to have a bug of driver at 2.4 ghz.  The exact version is 12.4.4.5.  So far I have found no side effects (except without freezes or crashes on the 5300).

So, hope this works for others, if all goes well, next version of the driver it will solve, but mine works fine for now.

  • Strange problem with Windows Vista / & Dual Boot of Win 7, Vista is there, but is not...

I have sucessfully partioned primary SATA drive in my old Dell XPS desktop computer for 1 year so I could dual-boot between Visat & Win 7, but that the process be re-sizing / partitioning, or installing Windows 7 posed problem with dual booting (MBR) which I was able to fix via the process of startup repair & recovery.

Unfortunately, when I try to boot into Vista from the Boot Manager screen, I can get as far as the Welcome screen and then the screen turns white.  At some point, I think I saw an error message referring to a bad or Rundll file missing (I think it is)

However, if the blank screen, I can do a Ctrl-alt-del and bring up the options menu to lock the computer, switch users, log, change password or start the Task Manager.  When I select the Task Manager, I see several Services & processes running.  It seems that Vista is running, but I can't do it...

If I select log-off, I get the newspaper colorful off the screen.

    Any idea?

Should I continue with the process of startup repair & recover?  I don't think the fix bootrec applies more, correct?   In addition, I unfortunately do not have the CD original Vista because it is a Dell system with all the stuff of recovery on the hard drive... (GRRRR!  ) which I think is a no recovery before I changed them were leaving...

    Thank you!

Try this for Vista startup repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Problem with Fingerprintsensor on Portege A600 with Win XP and Win 7

    Hello

I bought a new Portege with Win Vista on it and Win Xp on a CD Revovery. It has worked on my new laptop. Then I installed Win 7 on it without making a backup of my system of work. It was a big mistake. I downloaded Win 7 of the Toshiba homepage divers. But the Fingerprint Software means that there is no sensor. The driver has been installed. After much trying, I used the recovery CD. Now I have WIN XP on my system with the same problem. It was a recovery with all the drivers CD. He had to work. But it does not work.

Someone at - it an idea? Could someone help me?

    Best wishes

    Martin

    Hallo Martin

You are right. It should work fine if there is no problem with the sensor itself.
Is it difficult for you to test it with Vista image too?
I mean if the situation is the same, maybe you should contact the nearest authorized service.

    Can you start fingerprinting software?

  • Display problems with the Portege R600 and Win 7

I have a R600 running windows 7, every two minutes, I have a display problem where where the vertical pixels seem to get every centimeter unaligned, so my screen seems to blur digital in bars across it.

I have an external monitor attached and get the same problem with or without him. I have tired the driver of toshiba and intel driver.

It seems to go away if I have windows min and max, but sometimes it doesn't. If I run my mouse an affected area, that it seems in trouble and sometimes it's not all screen.

    A refresh solves it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    > I have an external monitor attached and get the same problem with or without him.
Maybe I m wrong but in most cases if these symptoms are seen on the two displays (internal & external) then a graphics chip could be affected
It would be the worst case, because that would mean that the motherboard needs to be replaced

But just a question; have you noticed that using the previous Windows OS preinstalled by maybe Toshiba (Win XP or Vista), you must install the image of Toshiba again to verify if this display problem is still visible
