WIFI connection is very unstable

OK, I recently started having problems with my wireless network. Before we continue, I want to clarify that the laptop fell off my table of landing itself directly on the wireless network card and of course, it's while my question has been raised. But, I hope this isn't the case and that no internal damage was done because it fell away and he doesn't seem to be serious damage.

My connection is very unstable. At that time I will have spent typing this I will have lost once. Once every 2-5 minutes. When I lose my connection I just remove and reinsert the card. It usually works. Sometimes, I get a message asking me to install new hardware, the PCMCIA MTD-0002. And other times it just re - acquired my IP address and run a little longer.

I looked around the internet a little and found many with the same question. Zero with an answer that worked for me, then again with a Toshiba laptop. I hope that you the pros here can help me out. The first thing I tried was to get a new driver. But in my device manager it says that they are all up to date and I have not had any other experience download from sites, and I don't want to get hurt.

I'm running on a Toshiba Satellite, I believe that it is a type R, further I don't really know. He's OLD. If there is more you need to know that I will answer quickly.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Like you said that the issue was raised after the laptop is dropped.
In my opinion it's a reason from time to time interrupts him. Maybe some connections are loose.

The external PCMCIA card is recognized and don t think that this could be a software or driver problem.
But to be sure, you can contact the support of the manufacturing of PCMCIA card.

In any case, I think the problem is related to the fall and the technician must check the slot.

  • Very unstable WIFI connection on Satellite A200 PSAE4E

Just had my Equium A100 replaced with a satellite pro A200 and for some reason that I am fighting to get it connected to my wireless network. I had the old laptop connected properly and used channel 11 on my WAP.

Now, after trying to connect my new laptop I find the connection very unstable. I tried different channel numbers, and these worked mainly the lower numbers, but are proved to be slow and unreliable. I have other laptops that are very well using my WAP to channel 11.

Anyone who has experienced this trouble and what is the solution.

    Hello

Just a question: do you use pre-installed Vista or maybe WXP on your new laptop computer?

  • Problem connecting, Win 7, WPA - PSK (computer think it's WEP). Managed to substitute, but now very unstable connection.

Hello, I use Windows 7 to my computer. Here wireless signal is encrypted with WPA - PSK TKIP, but my computer could not register as such (he believes that its WEP). I managed to force it to connect, by manually adjusting for WPA - PSK with TKIP (and the correct password) in the control panel.

However, the connection is extremely unstable. Often, he simply stops working, although the icon says that there is a link. (Note that this window of available connection has a large red cross next to the signal, because he claims that the settings do not match. He just logs occasionally when I start).

I wonder if there is a way to solve this annoying problem. I don't know what is causing the computer to see the signal as WEP, when it clearly is WPA - PSK.

Oh, I found what I think, it is the router in the basement: that said on it: Motorola SBS101E.

PS: I'm not good on the technical stuff (although I understand basic concepts such as network card drivers, etc., don't ask me not to disable or install a protocol without walking me through the steps).

    Thank you!

As I wrote, your problem is probably related to the adapter wireless in your office. Maybe it's as simple as that requires an updated driver, but it remains to be seen.

Result of your ipconfig is quite surprising.  Because you are in a university environment, if we cannot identify a problem with your wireless adapter, you may be able to request assistance from the University of the it Department.  See also comments below on the VPN.

Here - is more as a matter of interest than anything else - what some of your settings mean:

    Wireless network adapter

    • Your card is a Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC (Realtek RTL8188CE 1 x 1 11 b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter, which seems to be installed on Lenovo ThinkPads).
    • Your card is automatically assigned (usually by the wireless router, but see below) an IP address of 10.92.129.20.  This address is part of what is called a 'Class A' network, which is generally only used by very large organizations (for example, a University).  This suggests that this wireless network is from University wireless access point rather than a router connected to the modem cable into your basement.

So it is possible that the antenna on your desktop computer wireless card is not in as good a place as your laptop computer to receive the signal. It's especially if your office uses a built-in wireless adapter, with the antenna at the back of the computer under a desk and near a wall. If you try USB wireless adapter for your desktop computer (or an antenna on an extension cord) move the antenna near a window, if possible.

    • The 'default gateway' for this connection (the address of the wireless router) is 10.92.128.1, which is in the same class A network.
    • The DHCP server (which is what affects your IP address card) is 195.130.132.102.  It is a public IP address belonging to Telenet/Pandora, a Belgian Internet service provider.  In almost all wireless home networks, the DHCP server is part of the router, so your situation is very different.

    Virtual private network (VPN)
What complicates your Internet connection is the fact that you seem to be using a VPN. This is identified as the 'card Ethernet Hamachi.' I saw many posts complaining that the Hamachi software interferes with various other network connections.  For example:

After the installation of LogMeIn Hamachi, my continuous wireless network connection disconnected from the internet every few minutes. The wireless connection is ok, but trying to access the internet, I get a message to reset the connection.

Once I got disabling the network Hamachi (Control Panel-> network) connection and Internet-> network connections, everything is back to normal.

It happens on two different routers, then the router is probably not the problem.

This happens with the wired connection.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 64 Bit, Hamachi 2.0.3.89, Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN.

    LINK

This is beyond my area of expertise.  If you are unable to determine a driver (or hardware) problem with your adapter wireless and you have installed Hamachi VPN software on your desktop and your laptop, assuming that you really need, you need to get help from the support service of some entity required or recommended use of Hamachi VPN software.

  • Satellite Pro L500 - wireless connection is very slow and unstable

    Hello

I bought a Satellite Pro L500 a couple of weeks (Windows 7 and Realtek 8191SE). I have no problem connecting to public networks, but I can't use it at my place, where I have a broadband cable connection.
The strange thing is that, in the same room, I have no problem with my old A105 Satellite (Windows XP).

It is also very strange the fact that, even if the signal is good, sometimes excellent, the connection is very slow and unstable (it disconnects when I try to browse the Internet).

    I have already tried:

    -Update the Realtek drivers.
    -Disconnect the firewall;
-Modification of the properties of the Realtek card.

Maybe it's a problem with the software or, on the contrary, with the material?

    Thank you!
    Poncet

    Hi Patrick,

If you can connect to public networks correctly, I think that this problem is related to your router at home. So I would recommend updating the firmware on your router. You can get it on the page of manufactured goods.

Also try to disable WLAN encryption and MAC address filtering.

By the way: you can access the Internet at home via a cable connection?

  • Satellite M60 guard give up WiFi connection

An M60-144, I provided one of my clients has problems with its WiFi connection. It will be ok for 5 to 10 minutes, and then suddenly will drop the connection. Turning off the WiFi and back on again remakes the connection and everything is very well for 5 or 10 minutes.

The access point is a Draytek Vigor 2600 G and there are other laptop (Portege R100, R200 Portege and Tecra 9000 Tecra A2) that all connect to the same access point to the same place without any problem. The AP employs 128-bit WEP encryption runs in mode 11b and 11g of mixtures. Any other potential sources of interference, for example the DECT phones have been rejected.

The laptop has all the updates of Windows applied and drivers the most recent site. For me, it screams of a hardware problem with the wireless card, but wanted to know if there are other suggestions first?

    Hello

I read a few topics on similar problems and in most cases, the update of the WiFi pilot solves the unstable Wi - Fi connection. As far as I know on the Intel Web site you will also find a newer version of the driver. In my opinion, you should check this option.

  • Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

WiFi connections are losing their strength increases the distance between the router and so as a general rule, there are some conflicting objects

    Try the following steps please

The following actions and after each test to see if the issue is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

    1. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
    2. If the answer 1 is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
    3. Perform a forced - restart cela do not delete or purge all data and allows to solve many problems - here is how - press and hold the Off / On Home button and at the same time for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Allow normal startup upward.
    4. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
    5. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
    6. Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings - remember to have very practical WiFi passwords because it erases the WiFi passwords
    7. If it is a new specific net device in your home - make sure that the router gives enough DNS for all numbers which must / wants a connection - stuff like the printer, Chromecast get overlooked - ask for more details on this so not sure option
    8. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    9. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.
  • WiFi connectivity weird when I plug in the USB Flash drive?

I found this WiFi connection problem a few days ago, when I plugged a USB Flash drive in "USB port right side' of my MacBook Pro.

Every time when USB , WiFi won't work - the connection is lost and can not connect to any hotspot even turn the WiFi market.

I found more weird, ONLY this brand and model key USB could be the abnormal Mac WiFi.

This problem will not happen to another USB port even I put the Flash drive in the left side, USB port, weird isn't?

Conclusion, this flash drive cannot be used with USB port on the RIGHT side, another USB port works fine. If WiFi don't work.

All other USB devices I've owned are working very well on the USB ports on the right or left side.

Could Apple support or any helps me to understand why this happen?

PS. I had the Apple's Diagnostics and received a message "no problem found".

PS #2. Right - same USB port side and next to the HDMI port on MacBook Pro 13 "model 2015" (snack for someone who confuse average left or right)

  • A Wi - Fi connection works very slowly all connected HDMI

    Hi ;)

Can someone help me? I bought this tablet a week ago and I have strange problem :/
Everything goes well until the moment where when I connect toshiba to TV or monitor. Wireless Internet works very slooow, google search results charges about 1 minute... When I detach the HDMI, everything is ok... The page loads very quickly...

    What is the reason?

Sorry, I don't think anyone can help you. The problem is real and reproducible. It is old fashioned RF interference. Follow these steps to convince you.
    * not simply play with download speeds. Look at the numbers for the WiFi connection. Open the page on your router or find the "status" under network adapters. They show the Mbit per second of your computer to the router.
    * Leave the cable in place and just use the display mode in Exchange for the Tablet for external screen, or both screens.

You can see that the problem is very real and very measurable.
If you look at the way the device is built, the antennas are at the top, near the HDMI.

I wonder if there are better shielded hdmi cables. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know. All the cables I've seen say that they are of excellent quality.
If I had nothing better to do, I think that on the foil around the plug of the cable/close to the device.
If you have time, try an experiment: I moved my WLAN of Channel 13 to 1. It helped, but I didn't control experience. I played with too many variables at once.

    It's an absolute disappointment.

  • Satellite NB10T - A - Wifi connection limited running Windows 8

    Hello

So I got a new NB10T-A Satellite with windows 8 and have problems with wifi connectivity.

It says I'm connected but the connection is limited.
I know that's not my wifi because all other laptops and computers in the work of the House very well with windows 7 and proffessional ect.

I tried almost everything, including troubleshooting, who comes up with the message: problem with access point or adapter without wire and/or invalid IP configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you don t know that win 8 happened and obsolete. The new 8.1 Win was published by Microsoft a few months ago and you could upgrade the Win 8 to 8.1 win free.

For this I recommend you follow the instructions step by step for Toshiba
    [How update of Windows 8, Windows 8 | http://www.Toshiba.eu/innovation/Generic/windows8_1-Upgrade-stepbystep/]

    With regard to the Wlan.
I think the Win 8.1 upgrade should solve your problem, but I think you should also remedy in new installation of the Wlan driver

  • C50D-A-133 satellite detect WIFI connection but cannot connect

    Hello world!

I have a problem with the internet connection from my laptop.
Earlier this week, I noticed that my internet is very slow.

Now a few days later I can not connect with my wireless network more.

My other laptop can still connect with the network, so I think that there is something wrong with the windows drivers 8.1?

Because I've read some things other people who have had the same problem but I couldn't solve the problem.

It's a toshiba Satellite C50D-A-133 with qualcomm atheros ar956x as an internet adapter

Can someone help me with this problem?

    Kind regards
    Hannes Van den Berghe

    {quote} My other laptop can still connect with the network, so I think that there is something wrong with the windows drivers 8.1? {quote}

According to your post, you were able to connect the laptop to the router WLan.
In this case, the WiFi connection has been established correctly.

I put t think there is a problem with the laptop s Wlan connection. Your WLan router is probably some problems and that is why I recommend to reset the router.

In addition, you could test the LAN connection.
In case you have a problem with the connection to the local network, the configuration of the router should be checked.

  • Satellite A300 - give up WIFI connection

I recently bought a Satellite A300, but unfortunately it keeps down the internet WIFI connection while surfing the net.
It's only recently, in the last 2 weeks and I did not install new software that can do this.

I have a connection by wireless modem netgear aged 12 months which is connected to my main computer (wireless).
I use a secure connection which needs a wep key and is compatible with Windows Vista.

I also use this connection for my laptop from a different manufacture that I have no problem with. I also have Wifi on Wii and Xbox so I was wondering if there could be interference. Xbox Cup connection also.
I have only 2 related both objects and they are not even in the same place or even near each other...

When I diagnose the problem it says weak signal, but the intensity of the signal on the computer shows excellent.
If I plug the ethernet cable then everything works fine.

Very puzzled as to why this happens, having run checks virus on computers and nothing.
Uninstalling the connectivity doctor, still no joy.
All that it suggest that there is problem ISP but given that I can connect to my other laptop and desktop PC and no problems so do not know if it is...

Can someone help, I'm not very technical and am now very mentally drained

    Thank you

    Hello!

First of all, you must update your WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

He recommended to disable some options that could have an impact on the energy-saving WLAN functionality.
In your case I would deactivate the energy saving WLAN and maybe this document option is useful for you

  • WiFi connectivity is lost after 12 hours on 32RL938

    Hi all
I have a very strange and annoying questions on my 32RL938 aruond wifi connection.

I set up the TV and connect to my wifi at home and everything is very well four approximately 12 to 15 hours.

After leaving the TV in standby for a while (let s for example during the night) when I start it up again, I realize that, although my TV says it s connected to my local WIFI s there is no access to the drive Toshiba Places or DLNA network.

The network connection test fails also.

If I check on the router to the TV has a valid IP address and look connected, but no matter what ping test it s ip fails.

The only solution I was able to identify this problem is to restart the router.

After the reboot, the TV connects fine to my network and I can access the Internet on this subject.

What is very strange, it's my house, I have 6 other wi - fi devices (laptop, phone android, printer, Tablet, etc.) that work perfectly well as my TV shows that there is no link.

Because the ruter is not in my room it is quite difficult to restart every day.

Please let me know if you experience this kind of behavior and what could I do about it. I also tried with static and dynamic ip for television, but the behavior is the same.

    > The only solution that I managed to identify this problem is to restart the router
    > After reboot, the TV connects fine to my network and I can access the Internet on this subject.

For me, it looks like a problem of router and not as a problem of TV connection.

But you can also check if the latest firmware is installed on your TV

  • Skype 6.16.60.105 drops after that call is place/received the WiFi connection

    Hello

After the upgrade to the latest version ov Skype (6.16.60.105) - I can't not place/receive calls.

When I call someone (call or video call) or when anobody calls me - Skype drops my WiFi connection.

It was working fine before the update.

On the same wifi network, another laptop with Skype 6.14 works very well.

    Regression problem?

    Any solution?

    Thank you

    Oleg.

Downgrade from 6.16.0.105 solved the problem. I've done various tests and it works very well.

So, it should be regression introduced along the road between 6.16.0.105 and 6.16.60.105.

I wonder if Skype developers know.

Bought a new NB305 today. Set up (apparently) OK, but I can't get a WiFi connection. It recognizes my home network but will not connect. Convenience store etc can not solve.
I can connect using a T-Mobile dongle only.

The netbook runs Windows 7 Starter and I have a Belkin F5D8632-4 v1 router. Is that what may be a compatibility problem between Windows 7 and router? I checked the drivers wireless on the netbook and the two are the latest versions.

After having spent the last hour or so looking through this forum and others and tried various things, I am now at a loss.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Nickverwood,

In my opinion he should t be a compatibility problem between Windows 7 and your router. Normally, you can connect to the router with all operating systems.

It would be interesting to why you can t connect. Are you prompt for the password for WIFI and you use the right one?
Maybe you have enabled filtering of MAC addresses on the router to allow the MAC address of the NB305 first before can connect you.

Have you tried an update firmware for the router?
