WiFi management

Here, I use an iPhone 5s. In my house, my wifi password is saved in their (my parents) devices automatically when they connect first time. Then they use it as their own. Bill is so high, the last of the month. So I need a free application to manage my wifi.

Contact your internet service provider in the configuration of your router. All routers have ways to set up access. However, the type of interface and options depending on the manufacturer.

  • Weak WIFI signal

Hi, am currently using an HP Pavilion 2307tx g6 but get really weak wifi signal in my room. Only able to get about 2-3 bars every time while my other laptop can go up to full bars.

Any help/solution would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Forum, Rascal.

Discussion on the theme of the power of the Signal

Buffaloes by themselves may be a little empty of meaning, UNLESS you can interpret the definition of what each 'bar' says.

Signals are affected by the type of router you have - routers are NOT equal.

    • The cheapest router can not not the support required for the performance of your computer's wireless card.

Example: An older router that only supports 802.11 g will not provide faster than 54Mbps - even if you have the best card you can buy in your computer.

    • The opposite can be true as well - a good router cannot provide a better service than the computer's wireless can support.

Example: If the card in your computer is 802.11 g, so even if you have a router capable of speeds of more than 300 Mbps, you can get only 54 Mbps.

Speed and autonomy are limited by the link in the chain.

    • 802.11n is faster than the 'g', but it can also be slowed by the walls, the furniture in metal and other obstructions.
    • Move your equipment, even a few inches, could make the difference to a router 802.11 g

    AND

    • The same might be true for a 802.11n router that has a small antenna (low power)
    • Antennas in routers are NOT equal.  Small antennas in routers fantasies can still match a whimpy router.  You want a router with a 5db antenna 7db (or better if they make these by the time you read this).

Assuming you bought the biggest, baddest, best wireless available for your computer, then you may need to upgrade your router.

    Strength vs. Signal bars

Bars can indicate how things are moving along, or they can cloud the issue - depends on the "bars": which generates the bars, the sensitivity are the bars and you can do a lot in a bar anyway?

You can use another measure: the traction measured in percentages, detection and Signal type:

  • Satellite L555 - no wireless network in my device manager card

    Hallo

I work 2 days on WLAN, then lose connection and now I have no WLAN card in my device manager...
I got the BONES to the State of origin, marked FW-implementation update 1.70, uninstall the battery, but no card WLAN...

Within 2 days I see what fall Fn + F8 of WiFi/Bluetooth/WLAN... For only Bluetooth/Wlan.
Can I change the WLAN status and the LED changes but no card WLAN in the connected device without WIFI Manager.
I have other laptop that had WLAN-contact. I have Toshiba e-mail-contact but no answer, I am not happy.

    Who can help?

Sorry, my English is not very good
    the elefant

    Hello

You sent an email to Toshiba? I wonder how. The fact is that if you have problems with your laptop, then you should get in touch with a local ASP (certified partner) in your county and do not send an e-mail to Toshiba.

    Back to your question;
If I understand your question, the WLan card is not listed in the device under network adapters Manager; as unknown device or as a Ethernet controller.
    Is this correct?

Well, it means that the WLan card module is not recognized

I m wondering what Satellite L555-xxx you have exactly?

  • 2230-N-Intel wifi adapter problem. stops on the map

I just bought a laptop HP 17-j029nr.  He has a wifi card intel proset N-2230.  I have already returned your laptop under the return policy of 3 weeks for the same problem.  I didn't know what was wrong, then I discovered that the issue on the last day I could return it, so that seemed to be the best course of action.  The new laptop began to have much faster than the previous issue.

The problem seems to not have a link with the windows updates, but not spend 8 to 8.1.

In the beginning, everything is normal.  Good solid connection on my network for this device and all my devices.  Then, I lose the internet connection.  On the notifacation of wifi, there is a!, open it and it only shows my network, and it said limited.  I can ping all other computers on my network or my gateway, it seems that there is not any connection at all.  If I disconnect, then says no available networks.  A reboot will get me back online.

Everything's fine again for 10 minutes up to 2 hours.  Then he repeats, said I have a metered, but I have no connection, and I have to reboot for it to come alive.

A google search reveals that this is not a problem rare, nor specific to HP laptops.  He also had a decent knowledge base of solutions I've tried, all to nothing does not.

I tried a few different versions of the driver.  First, I tried the latest version of the driver.  Then I tried all the drivers that were made for windows 8.1 64-bit.  I came across an ad that suggested using the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFI connection utility.  I defy anyone to get this application installed right the first time.  My limited knowledge of windows 8.1, my networks are managed by this application.  The only reason why I believe that it is because it runs in my sandbox, and if I right click on it, it gives me the possibility to 'use windows to manage wifi"yet, my windows wifi Manager runs as well.  I can't understand how to disable wifi management service without disabling other services necessary to use the card.  So, Yes, I have something not configured correctly, but the behavior I get is the same.  After some time, whatever it is, makes my life hell, continues to occur.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Being a miniminalist, I try to remove all the junkware that comes with the computer.  One of the things that I removed has some star power demand.  He had the blue background with the White Star, the standard "Energy Star Rated" sticker on a device, you will see.  A quick search online doesn't have reviel a lot on the application, but immediately got me into the hell of Googling turning all kinds of results I don't care at all.  So I removed the program.

Earlier I was in the properties of the device and I noticed the power management tab and behold, it has been verified to allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.  I don't know if this is the solution, but at least it's something.  I will update, and I promise with something better than, "nevermind, fixed it.

New adapter wifi solved the problem. Too bad HP support sucks so I have to use different elements to get the machine to work.

  • HP slate 21 wifi

I'm having a problem on my network. I've implemented 2 slate monitors 21 as kitchen displays.  The two are connected by wifi to our network in the House used with Square register.  I use a Linksys E6400 which broadcasts only our secure wifi.  Since we are in a mall there are several other wifi networks that are also in the area of dissemination.

Randomly each or both of the monitors will drop our wifi and connect to one of the other networks unsecured.  I repeatedly chose each of the other networks and selected "forget network".  But ultimately the monitors will always find a way to connect to one of them.  Always after a power failure or if the monitor is stopped off the coast for some reason any.

How to stay on our network and block all other signals?

    Hi!, JLSerrano:

    Welcome to Forum!

If you, in your HP SLATE 21, Android OS 4.4.2 or 4.2.2 you must select the best channel for use in your router, without interference with other near the router, so download from the Google game shop, the .apk Wifi Manager (first on the left, in the first file).

Better, if use... 1 to 11 channel (2.4 Ghz).

  • WLAN manager does not work with vista 64

    Hello

Recently I've upgraded to Windows Vista 64 bit because I bought the additional RAM. I downloaded the drivers for my USB wireless adapter (which is a WUSB54GR), but they do not come with Wlan Manager. I tried to install the WiFi Manager since XP drivers, but it won't work.

The reason why I want this to work is that there are several SSID on my network with the same name, and I want to choose the best of them. Vista indicates the name once only and does not automatically select one that suits, and now I have lag spikes in games like World of Warcraft.

A good third work program would also work I guess, or a vista/hotfix patch for it.

Need help please, I searched the internet for this many times with no effect

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. After some research more, I found out it was something else that caused the lagspikes.
Windows Vista checks to see if there is a best available wireless connection every minute or so.

I downloaded a little program called WLAN Optimizer .do, it runs in the background now and my connection works great.

  • 2.2 wireless wifi now unusable and other issues

Already with my DroidX and 2.1 update, I could use my wireless network.

Now, after the 2.2 update. It continuously (every several seconds) says 'Detected connection' and then connects. Then the WiFi icon in the status bar goes away. Then I get a "connection detected", etc. on a plus! "

I use a NetGear WNDR3700 with firmware V1.0.4.68NA. Installation program for WPA - PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] mode. It worked before without any problem on 2.1. But now with Froyo (2.2)...

Even though I have full force on the WiFi bars, what is happening.

After updateing to 2.2, I pulled my battery, waited, and then restarted. Always the same question.

I then went to WiFi Manager, deleted my settings and he added again with the password for my wireless. Always the same.

I'm headed to transfer power to the wireless router, but I have no ' I think that will help.

On a positive note on WiFi, I like notifications in the status bar, and I don't see the options to use the PIN WPA mode, which are beautiful additions. However right now I can't use Wifi in my house.

  • Sectioning ThinkVantage Connection Manager FOR GOOD!

    Hi everyone-

Can someone tell me how to disconnect my T-500 connection manager? I am running XP Pro on this machine. I would just use the wifi Manager instead. I don't want to uninstall it if I don't have to.

    Thank you

Why not just uninstall it if you want to remove it?

If you want to temporarily kill the dial-up connections, open a command prompt or run this command

  • Wireless print server falls when trying to print

I am running Win XP Pro SP3 on 3 desktop computers, 2 printers with large format (HP plotters) on wifi Linksys print servers and 2 letter size wifi capable desktop (HP & brother) printers.  After that the last operating system updated, connected my Linksys printers go offline whenever I try to send a print job.  I can get to the configuration screens to print servers by IP via the browser (on wifi) and the start/settings/printers and faxes will refresh and display the printers online, but the moment I try to queue a print job (no matter if MS Office, AutoCAD, Picture Manager, no matter), printers disconnect.

These worked flawlessly for the past 2 years until this week.

Also, some update in the last month has disabled both the network driver on my laptop (Averatec 7100) and the WiFi Manager (DLink) on my desk.  Both continue to work on my WiFi network, but I was able to continue to work--until now.

    Uninstall the updates.

Also, if you have installed the drivers for hardware devices from Microsoft, make them back off and never get the device from the manufacturer of the real device driver updates (if and when you need).

I also turned off all power save features that allow the computer to turn off the devices. Please help me because this is getting more and more frustrating.

    Hello

    Follow these steps:

Control Panel - device - networks - WiFi - Manager write down of the brand and model, and then double-click
on the drivers Tab - get the version number. Then double click on update drivers (this can do nothing
that MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Then make a right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer and search for updated drivers, this will be your fallback. Then go to the Site of the manufacturer of the device

Download - SAVE - go to where you put the driver - CLICK RIGHT to it - RUN AS ADMIN

  • 5 GHz not appearing is not on Windows 8.1

    Hello.

    My equipment:

    Router: EA4500 Cisco

    Adapter: Linksys WMP600N

    OS: Windows 8.1

The router and adapter supports 5 GHz wireless network.

I used the same settings in Windows 7. Then I upgraded to Windows 8 and my 5 GHz network stops suddenly appear. (I guess it was due to lack of drivers for the adapter). I somehow fixed, and everything was good. (Unfortunately I don't know what I did. I think that I have installed an earlier version of the driver, but I'm not sure.)

Then I tried to format my hard drive and install Windows 8.1, and here I am with the same problem as before: I can't find my 5 GHz network. The 2.4 GHz appears fine, but he says that he has a limited connection. (He was 5 of 5 bars, if and the internet seems to work very well - so I don't know why it is said that).

I've been googling and trying always to make my 5 GHz network appear. (It appears in my smart phone wifi Manager.) But I can't make it work on my computer.

Can someone please help me find the right drivers / help me solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

I finally got to work. I'll write what I did in case someone else has the same problem.

First of all I should have realized this yesterday, but I was tired and stupid, so I missed the obvious solution:

    1. download the http://support.linksys.com/en-eu/support/adapters/WMP600N WMP600N Windows 7 drivers

    2. unzip the drivers; an easy place to access (for example the office)

    3. open device ('Run' devmgmt.msc) Manager

    4. right click on Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band and select "Update Driver"

    5. choose the bottom option: "choose the computer driver."

    6. choose the bottom option: "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my count.

    7. click on the button: 'Have Disk... '. »

    8. go to the place where you unpakced drivers (your office)

9 select the correct instructions for your x 64 or x 86 computer

I made the same mistake over and over again; in step 6 I chose the top option (instead of the option at the bottom) and tried to search for it here. -Which was wrong, for some reason any. I guess that Windows has decided that Microsoft drivers version was more up-to-date than the version of Linksys driver and automatically applied their own (instead of working one.)

In any case, happy to finally got running again. =)
