  It was entirely because of McFee WiFi security. When I turned off and then the problem is solved, now no problem WiFi connection.

  I understand the frustration, but I wanted to at least specify on the issue.  I have the 3510 e - all - in - one where I find myself and this model is currently connected to a WPA2 (AES) connection type.  The 3510 and 3520 have the same network with the same capabilities of networking card.

• WiFi Key refusal of installation of the Dell 305 w

  Hello

  I recently changed my ISP and trying to connect to my Dell 305 w I get a message that the security key is not valid.

  I checked that the security key has been entered correctly and the correct network and that three other devices (two cell phones and a smart TV) have all connected flawlessly using the same security key I know that the key is correct.

  This same printer is connected to my previous broadband, but I can't get past his refusal to recognize the new security key.

  I wonder if anyone has ideas as to what I can do to establish a wireless connection.

  I am happy to say that I managed to get the printer connected to my network mainly thanks to you pointing out the menus of the printer (the key) which I didn't know existed!

  The problem was when I tried to connect with wifi security, that I followed the instructions I got from Dell who said to the bits on the printer and the router WPS button press. It did not work and I decided to try the first router WPS button and then perform the entire upward on the printer. It worked without any problem and thus I am able to print again.

  Thank you very much for your help continues, it's much appreciated, and without it I never found the network Set Up Menu.

• iPhone and Secure Wireless - PEAP

  We recently deployed a new wireless infrastructure using 4404 WLC and 1131 Access Points.  We have 2 WLAN, a secure using RADIUS (Microsoft IAS on Win2K3) and PEAP.  The other access to public comments using the authorization of web WLC.

  We discovered that iPhones and iPod touches are able to connect to the WLAN secure with only their powers of AD.  They are then invited to accept the certificate and granted access to the WIFI secure.

  Our field machines require the certificate be installed via Group Policy, so I'm not sure how Apple devices are pulling down from the cert.

  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do to block this behavior?  We would like that these devices use only access visitor web-auth.

  I learn some stuff of WiFi security, and I installed Ubuntu in my VMWare Workstation 11 environment. My host OS is Windows 7, which is connected to my home network via Wifi

  Now, what I need is in the OS (i.e. Ubuntu) invited, I should be able to allow wireless access (so that I can run Wifi network scans etc.). I filled my network and laso used NAT, that give me access to my home network via my host, but they appear as wired connections in Ubuntu. If I understand correctly, this is possible by using a USB WiFi dongle.

  I bought a USB WiFi dongle now (it should arrive in a few days), but I don't know how can I get my Ubuntu OS guest to use this USB Wifi adapter while keeping my OS host on the built-in Wifi adapter.

  Simple I plug in the USB network adapter in my laptop and it will be recognized in Ubuntu or whatever I need to do some settings in VMware?

  I got this job, post my answer for posterity

  I bought a TP Link WN823N USB Wifi adapter.

  (1) keep your host Wifi on. Plug the USB, let it download the drivers
  (2) once installed, turn on your virtual machine
  (3) open VMWare, right-click on your VM-> removable devices
  Here, you should see your USB adapter. Select Connect (disconnect from the host). He will now connect the adapter USB Wifi for your Linux VM and alto - it should work!

  I've had this printer for several months now, I have had no problem connecting to my wireless network and connect computers, telephones and other equipment to this.

  ... but it's still not working for me. I am now able to connect my mobile phone to my X 230, but instead of allowing me to access the internet via bluetooth, a dialog box appears that allowed me to play songs that are on my cell phone using the laptop speakers.

  At home, I have a windows desktop computer 8, a windows xp pro laptop, a 8 and a windows phone fire HD Kindle.

  Everything is connected to my netgear WNDR3400v3 router and works fine except for my windows xp computer laptop pro.

  The connection speed of the laptop that is located in my basement is very low, so I bought a netgear Wireless extender WN2000RPTv2.

  The extender works with everything in my house except windows xp computer laptop pro. I was told that this is because windows xp do not support the last connection of wifi security type.

  I don't know about you, but I think it's wps or wpe and wpa?

  So my question is, can someone tell me if Microsoft have some sort of patch or update that allows windows xp pro to connect to the last security wifi out there?

• Issue of WPA passphrase

  I apologize if this question was asked again, but have not seen all the posts on WPA passphrases...

  The printer recognizes my wireless network but when I try to put up with the computer or perform a wireless test, a message appears.  The message says:

  The PSC 2500 is very old and only works with WEP and 802. 11 b, which are obsolete.

  I recommend that you connect the router with an Ethernet cable instead of fighting with the printer wireless.
