Win 32Trojan-Gen (other)

Hello MFST:

I have Vista and XP with this same problem... the virus both computers have cannot be cleaned and all attempts to arrive at any update.microsoft.com go the site "google".

The simplest solution would be a new site for updates by Microsoft that the virus would not recognize an attempt to update and a way to install the protection. Everyone I know Windows has this problem right now...

As you know, that it is useless as well to update the virus or spyware - need HELP with this problem!

Thoughts?

Andrew

GOOD NEWS!

ONLY, I SOLVED MY PROBLEM:

Hello everyone with these questions:

Failed to get Microsoft Updates (goes to Google or 404 error)

Automatic updates do not work

Cannot update Spyware / Anti Virus definitions - Goes "not found on this server...". »

Nothing works even when your computer here entirely swept and has no virus detected...

Do you have a ROUTER?

Clean the router (or use this excuse to update and get a NEW one).

After 3 weeks of frustration with my 2 computers, the ABOVE problem solved for me!

If you are helped by this information: you are welcome!

Andrew.

  • Satellite A30, Win XP Pro SP3 - modem does not work

Another problem with this laptop Satellite A30
The built-in modem does not work.

    * Explanation: *.
The driver is correct and downloaded from the Toshiba support site.
The modem is identified as "Toshiba software modem amr" and is installed on com3 port.

When I click on "diagnosis" and "ask modem" (right labels can be different, since my is an Italian win xp, I just translated the Italian labels), a window pops up saying: it is impossible to open the door (port), the modem is connected to.

I tried to change the com port of the modem to different numbers, but the problem is the same.
I don't know if the modem is a real map connected somehow to the main Board or is built right on the main map. It would be the first case, I may change see ad. BTW, the mini slot pci is already occupied by the gigabyte of Wi - Fi, so the modem must be elsewhere.

This is strange, since I've done at least 2 other win xp pro on this machine facilities, always download and install the appropriate drivers, and the modem has never worked.
    Thank you
    S.

    Hello

  • Tecra A10 - no sound using Win XP

    Hi all
I have some problems with the sound of my Toshiba Tecra A10. I have already installed the Audio from Realtek driver and I see the little speaker symbol down on the right side, too.

But I don't hear anything. The Device Manager has a yellow question mark on "Modem Device on High Definition Bus" Audio.

I installed the Driver Modem Agere Systems, but nothing happened.

Can someone help me and give me a link for this driver I need.
    I use Windows XP.

    Details of the material:

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_02 & VEN_11C1 & DEV_1040 & SUBSYS_11790001 & REV_1002\4 & 9E9AEC4 & 0 & 0101

    Kind regards

    > I use Windows XP.

OK, although similar questions I with Win XP on other laptops with new HD audio from Realtek.
The point is that you have SP2 and SP3!

The SP2 and SP3 provides important patches and fixes for the HD audio
Then firstly uninstall the Realtek audio driver.
Then install the SP2 and SP3.
Then go to Device Manager and remove the marked devices of yellow exclamation.
    Reboot the laptop.
Now Win XP should find a new audio device and should ask the driver.
No, you must install the audio driver from Realtek.
Reboot once more and now the sound should works fine

  • HP ENVY Phoenix 810-230qe fails intermittently load Win 8.1 at startup

I've had my HP ENVY Phoenix 810-230qe with Windows Pro 8.1 for a little over a month now.  I love the computer, but I had a problem.  Sometimes at startup, the HP logo will appear on the screen of the monitor and that's where things stop.  Windows 8.1 does not attempt to load.

The first time this happened, I turned off the computer after a few minutes, then started again, but it's the same thing.  After having thought about it for a few minutes, I turn it off again, then turned on the power and you press ESC several times to get the boot menu appears.  Then I pressed F9 to get to boot device Options. The list of the options I have are:

    • UEFI boot sources

    Windows Boot Manager

UEFI: IPv4 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

UEFI: IPv6 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

    • Sources of boot legacy

In this list, I chose Windows Boot Manager and press ENTER.  The HP logo reappeared and then Windows 8.1 began, to my relief.

Since then, it happened again a number of other times, but in no set model.  Sometimes it loads Windows without problem, while other times it does not.  I'm now ESC, F9, the Windows boot manager selection quickly when this happens and it loads Windows and all is well.

Anyone have any ideas on what is the cause or what to do to fix the problem?

    Hello

Which should not happen with your new PC.

Shut down the system and check mother HHD or SSD/card power and data connections.

You can also start to the start menu and run UEFI HDD and component diagnostics.

Try to reset the BIOS by default. Try a different cable SATA 3.0.

If you find some mistakes of disc/component and wiring is secure, save all the necessary data and do a factory restore or use Windows Recovery and do a Reset.

If the problem persists after a restored factory (Reset), then you have a type of hardware problem. Could be the SATA controller on South Bridge or some other motherboard fault. A restore successful factory (the problem disappears) should eliminate all corruption software reserved System / Boot partition.

You should probably contact HP support for warranty assistance if the problem persists after a factory restore.

My Pavilion dv2000 running Win 7, slows down or freezes for a short period of time where, what seems to be, a talk-show audio plays.  Someone knows how to turn off tv and audio if you use no background.

I solved the problellm. After stripping the system of all the games and all other third party software, I discovered that the problem would occur when connected my net. If I started and did not attach the net audio problem has not occure.  It turns out that one of the files system temp to explore has been altered by a virus which, down, loaded each time that the system connected to the net.  Problem showed when testing the hard drive.  Ran the disk check which fixed the corrupt files, then reinstalled win 7 and other necessary software.  All right.

  • Microsoft Passwords, one for a single account is equal to all other accounts?

I have several computers, all but one use Win 7, the other uses Win 8.1. I have multiple accounts with Microsoft, including Windows (Windows Live)?, Microsoft 365, this Forum, Expression Web, Microsoft.net (this still exist?) and others I can't remember now. When I signed up earlier today, I was told my password does not match my email address. I went through the process to change it, and has been a success. However, I type this password often enough that I know that I have made a mistake in typing. So, my question is, I have to change the passwords on other accounts or are something that MS does it automatically for all of us? Also, what possible cause is my recently changed password fail to work all of a sudden?

I can't speculate on why it stopped working. But when you change your password, it doesn't change a single account (email address).  So if you connect to these other things with a different email address, they will not be changed.

I don't have a single account: I use the same e-mail address here, Xbox, Live, MSN, Outlook.com, everywhere.  In this way, they are all connected to a single account.

  • Can I transfer the Win 7 OS to another PC?

    Hello

I have two PCs, we're on Win 7, the other is on Win XP (Pro).

Let say after 8 Win is sound, I bought the shop installation kit at the market price, I know if I can install my Win 7 to the old PC using the recovery DVD? There are two BONES are different licenses.

    Thank you

    Low

    Hello

"Do I know if I can install my Win 7 to the old PC using the recovery DVD?

DVD recovery implies the preinstalled OEM license.

Pre-installed Licenses OEM (HP, Acer, etc.) and the Microsoft System Builder OEM licenses are tied to the first machine that they are installed on and channels of license when this machine dies.

    OEM licenses are not transferable.

If you have purchased your own license for sale retail of Windows and installed yourself, yes you can transfer it to another computer.

    Retail licenses are transferable.

And if you upgrade a Windows 8 operating system, you cannot use the operating system upgraded to install another anywherer thing, because it is now part of the process of upgrading and licensing.

    See you soon.

  • Operating system to load BIOS for Satellite Pro A200

    Hello

    I have a PSAE4E - 03300WEN Satellite Pro A200 with V5.30 BIOS and Windows 7 SP1 32 bit.
I improved the T2330 CPU to T8100 and thought to update the BIOS for increased functionality.
But in the Toshiba download page, I get the following 3 options:

2.60 - WIN32 this Bios is only compatible for portable computers with Windows Vista! (32-bit only!)
2.60 - WIN64 this Bios is only compatible for portable computers with Windows Vista! (64-bit only!)
5, 60 - WIN this Bios is NOT compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista!

    And the question is...
What about Windows 7? I should stick to V5.30 or go to a newer version? :-/

    See you soon!

    > I improved the T2330 CPU to T8100 and thought to update the BIOS for increased functionality.

First of all laptop manufacturers (any manufacturer it is) don t support CPU updates.
Of course, you can replace the CPU but it's your own risk.

But what I mean is that updates of BIOS don't provide additional functionality or improves which would increase the functionality after upgrade CPU and this means that the BIOS update is not necessary to obtain better performance even after upgrade CPU.

However, certain phrases on your BIOS question:
5.60 BIOS seems to be released for portable computers running Win XP:

Other versions of BIOS (v2.60 32-bit and 64-bit) are released for Vista systems I guess that this version should be compatible with Win 7 since its more similar to Vista to Win XP

However, you changed the processor and consequently the hardware configuration is different now, I can't say for sure if the BIOS update would be the best option in this case

  • Satellite A110-275 restarts after a stop on the current

    Hello

After installing xp sp3 if I stop my laptop while on external power, it seems to stop and power off of the fine - then 5 seconds later, it restarts?

If I turn off the external power (or pull the power cable on) if the machine is running on its battery - then stop - everything works fine. I have checked the event logs and see no error which would cause a reboot on shutdown. I disabled the reboot on system error switch and I turned off the wake of the bios on the options.

I also looked in Device Manager and off anything that could wake the machine after his stop (only found the modem). I am at a loss - I don't see why external power would cause the works to restart but battery very well. Finally its possible this safe mode can also not working after installed sp3.

If anyone has any ideas - I'd appreciate really them. It looks like there may be a newer bios available (I'm on V1.2) but I've seen a few posts cautioned against an updated bios windows at level - once again any info - very very welcome.

    System information:
    Toshiba Satellite - A110-275
    Windows XP pro - sp3

    > After installing xp sp3 so I stop my laptop while on external power, it seems to stop and power off of the fine - then 5 seconds later, it restarts?

Have you noticed this problem before installing SP3?

Its strange noises that this occurs only when the laptop is connected to the power adapter

I searched in the forum for similar issues and in many cases enabled Wake up on LAN would cause a reboot.
I know, you have this disabled in BIOS, but you should also check the LAN card properties in Device Manager.
You will find an Advanced tab can disable this option too!

Satellite A110-275 belongs to the series of PSAB0E.
There is a new BIOS for PSAB0E series.

BIOS v2.0 is OS independent. Means that he s created for Win XP and other OS.
V5.40 BIOS is only for Vista OS.

If you are using Win XP, then you should take the independent BIOS of the OS!

Here you can find details of the update to the BIOS:

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M & error during my recovery

    Hi all

Two months ago, I bought A660 - 11 M. Two weeks, he started causing a problem starting I tried to fix it so far. During my own repair work, I accidentally jumped a recovery partition and boot was not possible at all. In the end, I had to buy CDs of recovery (CD1 and CD2) and tried a recovery with them. When I did with CD1, I inserted CD2 and everything was going well until the recovery stopped with the error code ' * 10-FC06-000 D. "

When I googled the code, it was suggested that it should be linked with the equipment, including the failed hard drive. Indeed, when I checked my HDD before recovery with "Crystal disk Info", the hard drive diagnostic tool, there was a problem with "reallocated sector number. I got a warning for this section.

I wonder if the error code is certainly linked with hardware (especially the hard drive), but not with the software. I am planning to send to Toshiba warranty service but his engineer said they won't it if it turns out be a software problem and would charge a 42 books to release to me. I don't know if I should count on Toshiba or search for external expert.

I also want to hear from anyone who had experience with the Toshiba warranty service due to hard drive problem. I wonder if they provide a reliable repair service or try to get away with a ton of excuses. It would be useful for everyone in this forum for sharing experiences with them.

I will seek forward at the hearing as many of you as possible. Thank you.

Well, you can try to check the HARD disk.
Use the HARD Drive Fitness Test called drive test tool. You can find it in internet and it s freeware.

If the HARD drive would be ok, then I recommend to use the other drive like Win XP to format the whole HARD drive. You could also install the Win XP or other system just to test if the laptop and HARD drive are ok.

If other systems would go, this would mean that the recovery discs are defective, and you should get in touch with the company where you bought this disc you should get another drive

  • Qosmio F50: How can I install Vista Business

I need to install Vista professional.
    How can I do?
    I have to format it?
So how do I install back all the utilities and drivers which it came with?
I have problems with my laptop if I do this?

    Hello

The Vista installation is not difficult.
He just put the Vista disk in the STRANGE and then start from the disc.
    The installation will start automatically.

But this will format your HARD drive and you will lose your installed Win XP and other files.

    > How can I install back all the utilities and drivers which it came with?
I guess you have a Toshiba Recovery disk.
If you want to retrieve the OS installed by Toshiba, then you need to use the Toshiba Recovery for recovery disk.

PS: what Qosmio F do you have exactly? I ask because 108 F is not known to me
