  Running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Service Pack 1 on a Dell XPS PC 8700 Special Edition.  I have the audio distortion / rupture & dropouts/skips during playback of music from the computer via headphones or external speakers.  The problem occurs if the source is iTunes, Windows Media or optical drives.  Listening longer, more frequent & become serious mistakes.  When to listen torn copies of the same music through an iPod directly connected to the stereo or headphones, no errors occur.  I installed an ASUS Xonar U7 external sound card.  This seems to have improved the overall sound, but it has not solved the problem of distortion.  The drivers concerned appear to be up-to-date.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

  REPRODUCTION

  1. read audio for a long time (> 5 minutes) on an iPhone LOCKED running iOS 9.2 and wait for the audio distortion.

  2B. pause playback and wait about 5 to 10 seconds until that play again will also solve the problem temporarily.

  3. once the phone is LOCKED again (stop automatic or manual) the question will return immediately.

• Crack suddenly / audio distortion via USB interface

  I use an iMac of retina end of 2015, which is connected to a USB AG06 Yamaha interface. The interface provides an audio output to my studio monitors.

  For these months, audio works flawless, but all of a sudden yesterday things got ugly. Briefly the sound works (often less than 30 seconds) then crackling / distortion occurs, causing finally audio fade out and back in. The problem is temporarily resolved if I disable the interface and turn it back on. I have not changed the settings or installed new applications - the question is just appeared from nowhere.

  Initially, I assumed that it was the fault of the USB interface, but I tested it on another Mac and it works without any problem. I tried to restart, stop, uninstall all additional audio devices, and disconnect all other USB devices, but the problem is still there. I tried other USB devices, including a Schiit Audio USB DAC on the iMac even, and it also works without any problem.

  all USB audio devices act the role of being a card usb external audio such always needs a driver, don't know if there are any drivers for the card generic usb audio if I was you, then I go to yamaha and look for an osx for your version of driver for their product

  Apple do not have drivers for hardware devices of third party if included in osx, then it is because the developers of hardware committed a pilot tested and improved Apple and became part of the osx installation

  If a new version of Mac OS x is installed, and yamaha has not committed a driver or the same clerk driver than the last time and he could not test it because it displays the questions you experiences in some cases, and you are upgrading, then there is no new yamaha rider so your system just stick to previous driver

  After the upgrade to the anniversary edition the first thing I recommend is to update your drivers and software via Windows Update and HP Support Assistant.

  For some specific models of HP, there may be difficulties with audio destortion after update of the anniversary. Please see the following support document to see if your model in the series is in the list and the instructions to follow.

  I have a HP Pavilion p6654y and lately, whenever I do anything audio related, including Youtube and the steam games I get clicks, gal, pop and distortions in my audio.   In other places I find a good description of our problem, which is that from time to time (between one hour and one day) the audio becomes blurred when using satellites. Stop and start the satellite box solved the problem. The satellite guy says it might have to do with the cable hdmi (which is short but not the cheapest).

  Other places on the internet describing the problem even say an update of the firmware of Toshiba has done for them, but as far as I know there is no one for our Regza 37XV625DF.

  PS: we also lose the image and the sound of the satellite sometimes (screen becomes blue), not connected to the distortion of the sound that I can tell. Off the TV (not the appropriate power switch standby) usually fix it. The satellite guy said that more precisely it is a question of toshiba. Any ideas please?

  PPS tried change the hdmi cable, tried swapping inputs, problem occurs again.

  I m not an expert but from my point of view, this problem is related to the (receiver) satellite rather than your TV topbox.
  In your case I try and test another topbox.

  After the upgrade to tvOS 9.1, audio is distorted. I rebooted, reset it and tried the restore as well without a bit of luck.

  Have you tried taking the speaker system of the equation as a test case?  That is connecting ATV to a different tv and tv only. This would help pin point root cause. I suggest that this is due to the widespread audio problem observed by many during the first 2 months.  I would say that the majority of people have seen an improvement in audio performance with the 9.1 update. ..

  Reach... Tools / Options / tab Devices...

  Select your CD/DVD drive...

  On the left, click on the properties button...

  Uncheck (clear) the playback area "use Error Correction"...

  Whenever I use my (new, just out of the box) trackpad laptop while watching a video/listening to music / something that uses the speakers, the sound gets staticky and distorted. It's happened since I bought it a few weeks ago. I tried to uninstall the trackpad drivers and restarting, uninstalling a few audio drivers and restart, but nothing had no effect. I didn't notice the same distortion while using headphones or an external speaker. I saw a few people with laptops Acer (not same model) have reported the same issue, but their problems seem to have been resolved by uninstalling the drivers. Are there other solutions, or at least a potential explanation for the problem?

  OK, double click on the orange icon and in this window: click on the format by default and try different bitrates to see if that helps. If the sound stops working, simply click the reset button.
