  Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model

  I tried to convert a virtual machine for the server 2.0 Win XP a Lenovo Thinkpad R60e. After a few failed attempts with 3.0, I used the beta version which seems to offer more flexibility.

  3.0 has always reported to 97% (impossible to determine the operating system). With the beta version, I had (I guess that the same error) to 94% in the phase of reconfigure.   PS: as far as I know you don t need any driver to start from the CD/DVD of PCMCIA drive. It s controlled by the BIOS.

  My laptop has experienced slow load time, audio popping/cracking. I also got BSOD when trying to restart/shutdown. It of like it since Oct/Nov ' 14 and did not get better.   This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which did not catch the error handler.

  At this point, the best thing I can recommend is a CLEAN (or Reset) installation of Windows 8. After that it's over, just install the latest drivers for your computer from the site of MSI (not updated for Windows, the Device Manager, etc.). You can of course install games if you want, but not 3rd party software like antivirus, firewall, driver install agents, etc.

  In this way, if you crash on a clean install or reset and everything that you have the latest drivers, it's material and we can move forward accordingly and appropriately from there.
