Win 7 for access to shared photosmart 7350

Greetings,

I will put up a new Win 7 laptop to my current XP network.  Is a host for a LaserJet 4 and a Photosmart 7350.

With two models, I could not initially add printers shared - couldn't find driver.  Finally I solved the LJ4 by installing a false LasetJet 4 locally and then add the actual shared printer.  However, this method does not work with the 7350.  The 7350 is directly not currently supported in Windows 7.  Website of HP is said to use DeskJet 5550 as another pilot.

I 'installed' a false local DeskJet 5550, but I can not install the shared 7350.  Where/how can I select manually the DeskJet 5550 after windows invite that it cannot find the driver on the network?

Thanks in advance!

The key to my situation(W/7/64 Pro) + (XP Pro) +(HP photosmart 7350) must enter the network as the local path, which is \\COMPUTERROOM1\computerroom1 location (\\Network ordinateur\nomfichier computer). I worked on it for two weeks.

  • Photosmart 7350 and Win 7

I have a photosmart 7350 and Win 7 ultimate, I installed the other driver Deskjet 5550 by HP support, but still no joy. (this driver does not work on Vista)

You can try to add a device and select windows update to search for additional drivers. After that windows update is running, you should see a set of drivers under Hewlett-Packard. In this list is a photosmart 7150. I have not tested this driver but the products look like enough to make it work.

I would like to know if it works.

  • Need help with the driver 64 bit, Win 7 for Photosmart C8180

Hello. I downloaded the 64-bit driver for Windows 7, the Photosmart C8180 All-in-one. It shows the download link, the download for 64-bit file is the same file as the 32-bit file. However, I downloaded one that says that it is for the 64-bit Windows 7, in any case. http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=3204...

I uninstalled my printer. I clicked on my new .exe file, which was supposed to be for Windows 7, 64 bit. Installed just fine. However, when I go into Device Manager and my printer, it shows that the driver is a 32-bit. (which makes sense, since if you look at the 64-bit, or 32-bit download, both are the same file.)

I have a program on my computer it is more precisely a 64-bit program, and it let me use the ability to scan, until my all-in-one printer has a 64-bit driver. I think HP has accidentally put even tranche under the 64-bit file as they have under the 32-bit download. Anyone come across this or know what I can do?

    Thank you!

Honestly, I think that is what is happening, you should have the driver correct 64 bit for your printer.  Since you mentioned, that they just released the 64-bit program, it is also possible that it may be a relatively new problem which they are ignorant.

I have two recommendations for you.

One would be to get back in touch with them and let them know that you have installed 64-bit drivers and it may be a problem with the program.

The only other option I can think would use the 32-bit software, although I know that you really want to use the 64-bit software.

I'm not familiar with their program enough to know what could possibly be the cause of the Analyzer must be gray and not recognized, especially if it worked before when you use the 32-bit software.

  • Win XP computer access internet life ethernet, but not recognized on LAN

Desktop computer Win XP is connected to a local network (via ethernet) and recognized.  Shared files can be exchanged on the local network.  The Win XP computer was temporarily moved to a different location and an installed wireless adapter.  Two weeks later the Win XP computer was returned to the original location, removed wireless adapter and related to the uninstalled software.  Now the Win XP computer accesses the internet (via ethernet), but is not visible on the local network.  Win XP sees no other computers and other computers do not see the Win XP.  Trying to troubleshoot the network.  Troubleshooting the "1394 connection" gave a TCP/IP message has not been activated.  Check the 'properties' found that the 'Internet (TCP/IP) Protocol' is checked.  Is there another place where TCP/IP must be enabled?  Maybe a checkbox?

Thanks for the help.  Unfortunately, I tried two suggestions, all of the above steps, and nothing has fixed my problem.  However, during the process of going through the steps in the "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308007/en-us", I discovered "Microsoft Fix - it Solution Center".  Treatment of the symptoms of MS Fix - it network provided an instant repair the problem.  I still don't know what exactly was the problem, but now all computers can see each other on the LAN.

I can using Ping IP or name of the computer for every user of AD.

    Please check the attached images.

When I try to access it using IP, it gives me the following error:

  • Photosmart 7350: Drivers Photosmart 7350

I have a Windows Vista operating system. I lost my disc for my printer Photosmart 7350. When you used to "Add a printer" there were dozens of printers listed under HP. The only one I have showing is Photosmart A640 series. It does not work. The HP site only offers videos under the heading 'download the software and drivers '.  He also says that Windsows OS recognizes and uses the correct driver when a USB cable is connected to my computer and the printer above. This isn't.

Your Windows XP question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the forum TechNet Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3).

  • I can see other computers on a network of peer to peer windows XP but cannot access their shared files and the shared printer.

I can see other computers on a network of peer to peer windows XP but cannot access their shared files and the shared printer. The computers are connected by a switch, fixed IP addresses that are correctly configured and point to a DNS server outside the network. When I try to open the icon for one of the computers, he asked for credentials. I try to type the user name for the computer that is sharing the resource and the password. It is the user account whose computer is loged on and belongs to the Administrators group. for example: user name (Computer1\username) password (password). It does not work. The Windows Firewall is disabled on all computers. It worked well there 2 days. I can't find anything wrong with the network settings. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

If the portion of the machine has activated - Simple file sharing (i.e. it is XP Home or it is XP Pro with Simple (default) file sharing) - while all file sharing connections authenticate as user 'guest '.  It will not matter what username / password you provide, it will attempt to authenticate as 'guest '.  If the guest user has received a password or the guest account is not active, you will experience the symptoms you describe.

If the serving machine running XP Pro and Simple file sharing is disabled, then you should be able to connect by specifying the user as computer\user and the password to connect.  To turn off Simple file sharing:

I can help you change the default printing for your Photosmart 7350.

Being a random event, it can be difficult to pin-point where the problem may be.

Have you checked the default print settings that perform all the print jobs?

Try the following: go to the folder, devices and printers, add printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update, and then select HP Deskjet 5500 series.
