  I am experiencing a problem installing Win 7 on my iMac 27 "(ultimo 2009)." I got this version installed two years without a problem, but now it concerns me.

• Connect via WiFi to a Surface 3 PC

  I want to send files to my Surface 3 Win 10 of my iMac. In the finder, I see the surface3 in the sidebar, I click it and it says just plug and then goes down, don't demand not for any login or anything like that.

  Is there a way to connect, the iMac must be able to see that it is in the sidebar? I don't know what dress, or something else to do. I try to click on "connect as" but it just immediately try to reconnect

• Software update does not see Bootcamp 6

  I'm running OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan) on an iMac of retina end of 2015. I migrated from an older iMac, including to move a partition, Bootcamp with Winclone. I was able to move from Win 7 to 10 to win on the old iMac and successfully get the partition installs and runs on the new iMac, but with intermittent problems.

  Apple Software Update on 10 to win is a recent version, but he claims that all software up-to-date despite the fact that the Win partition is running Bootcamp 4! A downloaded installer 5 Bootcamp will let me install this version (not designed for this computer). However, every time I try to install Bootcamp and WindowsSupport to download drivers, the installation stops with an error in step "checking launch conditions.

  I could enter and update the drivers, but I can no longer use the Bootcamp Control Panel - it claims that I don't have sufficient privileges to change the boot volume, even if I'm using an administrator account. I also get random and BSOD diversions, but not consistently.

  How 6 Bootcamp to install? Other solutions I've seen about having Apple Software Update download it, but mine says I'm updating and then closes. I can't run the installer Bootcamp directly, because he says he needs privileges escalated the use of setup.exe.   You should run Boot Camp 5 to proceed to 6. Regarding the latest software support, the options are:

• Expand XP hard drive?

  I am running Win/XP on my iMac and have noticed that the icon 'the disk light blue' is the long periods of time every time I try to write a file on the disk. Looking at the stats from hard drive on the XP client, I see that it's a 20 GB drive with only 1.1 GB free. Kind of leads me to believe that the hard drive can be stolen in an attempt to find free blocks. There is only so much rubbish on the drive that can be removed.

  My question is - can I stop this virtual guest and allocate more space HDD without losing data already on the virtual drive of 20 GB? Or, is it possible to add a second drive "D" at this prompt?

  You can add that a second HDD virtual, but with so little space on the C: drive I would opt to expand the size of the virtual hard disk, and then expand the virtual partition which is the C: drive.

  I need a virtual machine to run Win ME on my iMac (Leopard 10.5.7) 24 "3.06 ghz with Nvidia Geforce 8800 GS.

  I have win me or Win 98 to run my Oxford English Dictionary CD-ROM 2nd ed. worm. 2 (this isn't any dictionary - cost me about $400 in 2000). That is why only that I have to run a PC! I can just barely run the OED in Parallels. Parallels does not support Win 98 or Win Me. Do not load the virtual tools; the display is only 16 colors... Victoire Me sucks Parallels. BUT at least the OED will work on Parallels (even if in a sad state). I want to buy VMWare because Win Me over like a champ and looks a lot like VMWare Fusion. It all seemed too good to be true that I explored the trial I downloaded VMware. Well, it was too good to be true. VMware, the OED CD-ROM Cdilla Safedisc 1 protection will not allow the data disk must be authenticated.

  Why, why charge Parallels the OED on Win ME without problems of authentication, but VMWare can not? (The OED also worked well on Virtual PC, 4, 5 and 6.)

  If anyone can help get VMware to load my copy legally purchased of the OED, I buy VMWare Fusion in blink of an eye.

  The answer to your question is no.  Windows must be installed using BootCamp for BootCamp provides the drivers for Windows which is necessary for the Mac hardware.  Windows is also able to read natively an HFS volume +.  You are better off starting the recovery internet computer and then install OS X on an external drive.  If you hear clicking on the internal hard disk, then it is an indicator that there is a hardware failure with the hard drive for data recovery is not always possible.

  I install suite Cs4 on an iMAC running Windows 7.  Installation fails after 'checking system profile' with the error "the installer has encountered an error and can not contiue.»  Contact technical support", then exits.  No idea what the problem might be?  I installed it previously on my without boxes fine IMAC then maybe something specific to the imac hardware.
