  I am experiencing a problem installing Win 7 on my iMac 27 "(ultimo 2009)." I got this version installed two years without a problem, but now it concerns me.

  When you create the partition, bootcamp and starting from the Win 7 DVD I am able to install it without problem. When the PC reboots after you download windows support on my USB, install windows and is about to start Windows for the first time, it freezes and the screen is all black.

  I read on the support site you need to create and image of the Win 7 dvd which should be used in conjunction with boot camp, but I can't choose this option (it simply is not here) "disk image", when using boot camp.

  So what to do?

• Cannot install drivers for HD Audio win 7 64 Pro Windows default for generic HD driver

  Hi all

  I pray that someone can enlighten me as to how to install the correct audio drivers HD in Win 7 Pro instead of generics.

  The motherboard is an Asus Rampage Extreme and the sound card is a PCIe that accompanies the Board of Directors. The manual calls what it a 'card SupremeFX X - Fi' my system is a dual boot with XP on another partition, the sound works fine, XP, with all the extras, I need.

  If I go to Device Manager and remove the existing driver, and then when I try to install the ones I want, I get a message saying ' cannot find a device supported on this machine. "and the installation program quits.

  Of course when I reboot 7 wants to reinstall what he thinks is right. I'm at square one!

  Once the proper drivers are installed, I can then install the Creative Sound Launcher located in the Tools menu. It gives me a graphic equalizer, a Crystallizer and many other controls for the sound card. I can install these items listed, but none of them will any work without the correct driver.
  They have simply open and refuse to work saying "Device supported by this application is not found on this computer."

  I need a way to install the Asus / drivers Creative instead of the 7 seems to think are "correct."

  The dual boot is your problem. Why do you always need XP?

  And you're going to have things the wrong way!

  You need specific drivers XP on this partition and specific drivers W7 on that partition.

  Thanks for the reply. I don't know how I mislead you with my ad. I said that the sound is FINE under XP it's W7 who "was" that is rampant in me.

  I eventually found the drivers from the Asus site and program utility that controls the different things like the EQ and others. Note that some of them were not in the right directory and I would have never thought to look under the heading where they have resided!

  I use XP because I have so much software that doesn't work on 7. I am also on disability and can't afford to start replacing and material. At the moment the dual boot is a solution very, I see using a virtual machine in W7.

  Problem solved, I had needed was someone to Asus who has understood my dilemma.

  I have an old Mac Pro and LaCie 321 monitor. Now looking to upgrade, I would like your comments and suggestion. I'm not a fan of large monitors I prefer monitors from 20 inches to 24 inches. I have an Epson 3880 printer to print my fine arts and used printers for my illustrations. I used illustrator/Photoshop and applications Photo Designer/affinity affinity.

  Should I get new Apple iMac 21 inch Retina to go with EIZO CX241 or PG2401PT Pro 24 BenQ?

  They have all two internal programmable LUTs - if that qualifies as graphics card is probably semantics. In the Eizos, it works in 16 bit depth, in the BenQ 14 short. But this means that the calibration is performed internally in the monitor and not the video card. The point is that corrections are possible without risk of banding and artifacts that you check frequently with the calibration of the standard video card. You also have a much more precise control over the parameters of calibration (white and black).

  The monitor profile, used by applications only, color management is of course a different question.

  First the mic has recognized and record voice, but the sound quality is terrible, rough and very distorted. I tried different levels in the audio mixing without result Panel. What should I do to avoid the distortion?

  I am a beginner graphic/web designer is currently using a MacBook Pro with 16 GB and 256 flash. Will use Safari, Pages/Keynote, and Adobe Suite primarily.  I do not edit videos or play games, I'm a basic user who wants to really just a nice, larger screen to work on the desktop.

  I think investing in the computer but don't want to spend a lot more machine that I'll ever need.

  What do I need from a good to have:

  • 390 on the 380 graphics card

  The only upgrade that you really need is to 16GBs of RAM. Training of standard merge should be fine for your needs. You will not need the GPU upgrade.
