What happened to your system, shortly before the problem started?  All power failures/surges/to close to lightning strikes?

This line in the configuration for your Ethernet (wired) network connection report

Autoconfiguration IPv4 address. . : 169.254.81.171 (Preferred)

(1) means your adapter is configured to obtain its IP address of a server DHCP; This is the default setting and the correct configuration for virtually all domestic and (2) networks, your card has NOT received an IP address from the DHCP server.

Essentially, your computer is not communicating with your router.  This is confirmed by the fact that there is no 'default gateway'.

Maybe it's because

  1. The DHCP server on the router is broken
  2. The DHCP server on the router has reached the maximum number of IP addresses, defined to be allocated
  3. The port on the router is broken
  4. The Ethernet cable is bad
  5. The port on your network card is bad

You did not say how the other PC is connected, but however it is connected if it is able to access the Internet, the DHCP server on the router is almost certainly working correctly.

Number 2 is very likely.  Happens only if you used the router configuration utility to set the number of allowed IP addresses to a very small number, lower than the number of devices on it (not to mention the computer problem).  You would know if you had done that.

This leaves the reasons 3, 4 and 5.

To test the #3, plug your Ethernet cable to another port on the router (most routers have 4 ports).  If the other PC is also connected to your router by Ethernet cable, unplug the Ethernet cable from the router and connect the cable from the problem PC to this port.

You didn't say why you think it isn't a cable problem (#4).  IMO, that is the most likely cause.  If the other PC is also connected to your router by Ethernet cable, unplug the cable from the other PC (leave it plugged into the router) and connect it to the computer problem.  If not, get an Ethernet cable from checked and test it using that.

Number 5 is difficult to test.  Apart from physical damage, it is unlikely, but still possible, that would not allow the port while the rest of the adapter works enough to give you are the ipconfig data that you see.  With a cable connected both the router and the computer problem, look into the Ethernet jack on the computer.  You should see 1 or 2 small LED lights.  What do you see?  What color?  None of them are flashing?

  • 3.1 AT100 not seen by Win7 as a network device, dlna fail

My AT100 with v3.1 can use the Toshiba Media Player integrated to transmit certain types of video from my PC Win7 Home Edition, but the PC can't see the AT100 as a WiFi-connected device. As the AT100 is certified compatible DLNA (I know that "compliant" does not necessarily mean "fully compliant with all aspects") I expect to see the AT100 in view of features of Win7 as my Media Player for WDTVLive appears.

I use a TV tuner card in the PC to record free to air programs for changing object that registers Win7 as .wtv file types. The AT100 nor the WDTVLive could play this type of file when pulling the stream from the PC. However, I can push the .wtv files using the WDTVLive watching "Play To" feature. I can't ' play to ' the AT100 because Win7 does not recognize the AT100 as a device connected.

OMP Win7 there is a window that shows all the devices on the network and allows streaming of the permissions to be set individually for each device. I can find the AT100 in this list as an unidentified device by matching the MAC address reported.

I plugged the AT100 by USB and charge Win7 a driver, it gave me the ability new use of WiFi on the AT100 to control the streaming of files from the PC to the WDTVLive. The PC, however continues to refuse to recognize the AT100 its device management windows.

Whoever did this with different results?

    Bill

    Hello

Can't say anything about the DLNA but AFAIK the Toshiba Media Player preinstalled on A100 supports different mod and one of the mods called DMP (digital media player).
Choice of this mode allows to connect to the PC or laptop with preinstalled Windows Media Player 12. But this only works under Win 7! This will allow to distribute video files.

  • Win7 Ultimate VM network problem

First of all, please let me state that I followed all the steps in the article located at http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1016466.

OS - X 10.6.6 the last update of the Fusion running.  The Ultimate Win7, I have installed is a upgrade license, which means that I had to first install XP and then upgrade to 7.  I haven't used the machine XP for anything whatsoever, except for the upgrade.

The NAT and Bridged show active connections and switch between them does not seem to do a thing.  The Windows Device Manager indicates that the Intel Pro/1000 MT network connection cannot start - 10 of the Code.

    Thanks in advance!

In VMware Fusion, if on the guest OS Virtual Machine library shows Windows 7 or Windows 7 x 64 (as appropriate) and not Windows XP and it shows also in the Virtual Machine configuration file .vmx ethernet (N) .virtualDev = "e1000" then it is not necessarily a problem of VMware Fusion se and is more a problem of Microsoft Windows driver and must be resolved as if it were a Machine running Windows 7.

In other words, uninstall the device assigned via the Windows Device Manager and reinstall it and this may require manually delete several files and fresh copy files needed for the resettlement in a temporary location to reinstall if the normal method of uninstalling/reinstalling the device driver does not.

If you have already uninstalled/reinstalled the device in the normal way via the Windows Device Manager and there is always a problem and then in the case of the network connection Intel® PRO/1000 MT find below instructions to uninstall/reinstall manual.

    1. first of all either manually delete the existing driver installed and installed the configuration for the installed driver files and then copy the files required to be reinstalled in a temporary location of the DriverStore FileRepository for the Intel® PRO/1000 MT network connection and specific files depends on what version, x 86 or x 64, Windows 7 you are using or to simplify this I attached a file named Prep_for_NIC_manual_uninstall_reinstall.zip, and it contains the file PrepForNIC.cmd which is an NT command Script that will copy the target files from the appropriate record of DriverStore FileRepository C:\Temp\NIC folder and delete the files currently used.  This works for Windows 7 and Windows 7 x 64 under VMware Fusion.

Extract the PrepForNIC.cmd file and then right-click and select run as administrator, and then click Yes in the message box user account control.  Note If you do not take the easy way and use the PrepForNIC.cmd file, and then open it in Notepad to see what she does and then do it manually.

    2. click on the start ORB, type Device Manager and press ENTER.

    3. right click on the network adapters Intel® PRO/1000 MT network connection, and then select uninstall.

    4. click OK in the message box to confirm device uninstall.

NOTE: DO NOT check "to remove the software player for this device.", if it exists in the message box as this will remove the primary DriverStore for this camera and would not do so unless it is determined that the source files are corrupt.  In the event that the original source files are deleted so that they will have to be retrieved from Windows 7 install Image DVD/ISO and the easiest way to do than use a GUI based utility that can go up and extract files from a. WIM (Windows Image) file.  One such utility is WinMount and will the free version WinMount.

    5 restart the virtual machine.

Once on the desktop if, after the message "Install the driver software for device", it does not say "Driver software installed device with a success." then he should say "software device driver is not properly installed." and if the latter and then continue with the remaining steps otherwise you are finished.

If Windows does not correctly install the driver after reboot, then...

6 6 cliquer click on the start ORB, type Device Manager and press ENTER.

    7. right click on the Ethernet controller under other devices and select Update driver software...

    8. Select Browse my computer for driver software.

    9. type C:\Temp\NIC and press ENTER.

    10. Select install this driver on the Windows Security dialog box.

It should report that Windows has updated the software driver. Click Close on the update driver software - WIRELESS Intel® PRO/1000 MT message box.

  • Satellite L500 - 19 X: install Win7 - stuck on syswow64 loop won't work?

I tried to reinstall Windows 7 on Satellite L500-19 x, but he will not - do whenever I have start computer laptop a white screen pops up saying "preparation for installation... may take a few minutes" but it never goes away... can exit from this screen by starting the Task Manager and hit escape a few times.

When get as far as office things seem to be in order with the exception of the running Syswow64/sysprep/...access command prompt is denied on the continuous loop, there is also a window saying 'TUPIT 2' which seems to have failed because there isn't "requested registry access is not allowed" in front of it.

Would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to solve this problem, because it is extremely frustrating and seems to be so close yet so far to be successful!

    Hello

This message is very strange. Read on the internet about similar problems, but the questions were always related to registry problems.
In most cases, the error message appeared trying to repair the Windows operating system.

Have you tried to do a clean install?
I think you need to format the HDD first before you try to install Windows 7.
I hope that everything would be erased from the HARD disk before starting the installation of configuration

  • Print from Win7 on XP network

I have a new laptop Windows7, my office is an old Windows XP based system.  I would like to print from my laptop using the printer on the XP.  The printer is a HP 8250 in very good condition. The printer is set up for sharing, but what else to do to achieve this?  My printer is on my XP computer.  What other settings should I set?

    Thank you

You'll need to download/install driver Windows 7 for HP 8250 printer before you connect to the printer.  To do this, go to www.hp.com, simply click on "Support/Drivers" and then select "Download drivers and software.  Enter "Photosmart 8250" in the product window, and then click 'Go '.  Continue to download the driver and install it on your Windows 7 machine.  If the driver does not install the printer as part of the driver installation, you may need to go to "start-> devices and printers-> add a printer."

  • Windows Update in Win7 stuck halfway on the upgrade Win10 & consumes CPU

Windows Update has been the consumption of 50% of my CPU stable for the past months. He started right around when upgrading Windows 10 has been downloaded on my computer, but I had not yet installed (download was unintentional). I thought it would end when I've finally updated for Windows 10 a few weeks ago, but to make a long story short, 10 Windows eventually cause an infinite restart loop and I had to enter in the boot menu and go back to Windows 7.

Now back in Windows 7, 50% of my CPU is again consumed on a daily basis. Windows Update function tells me "your upgrade to Windows 10 is ready" and asks me to restart, but restarting does nothing. I can't check the updates either, because "a previous installation must be carried out."

Is it possible to interrupt the Windows 10 half-installed upgrading? Hard for me to imagine it is nothing else, but open to ideas. My only solution was to stop the service, WU, who immediately soothes my CPU, but it restarts after a few hours and I want not updated of future security, so it is not desirable or sustainable.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The big question is Win10 or any part of his installation actually start?

If the restoration does not correct the problem, you may face a complete reinstallation of Windows 7.

    Try these things.

    Click on the starting planet

    type in there services

    Click on Services

find Windows Update in the list

Right-click on it and select stop

    Second thing:

Download and install the GWXControl Panel.

  • C6280, win7 cannot print via active network with VPN

Hi, I have 2 PCs, one Vista, one on Win7. With Vista, I can print over the network.

Also, via USB on the win7 PC I can print.

But I can't print via active on the Win7 with VPN network. Without VPN, it works.

I had several problems with the installation of the SW. Finally it worked (I think I had to turn my VPN connection)

It recognizes the printer, the State says: ready, but when I print, I get an error after a while.

When I stop the VPN, I can print.

I tried to load the patch for Win 7 (recommended on HP circuit (printer disappears), but what it says that I don't have the SW right?)

    any idea?

    Hi ReneH,

I am pleased to hear that the problem has been resolved. Have a wonderful day.
