Win7 support

Current operating system: Windows 7 Edition home premium 64-bit
Laptop model: HP satellite g6 series
Current issue: laptop starts with windows on the screen, then flashes blue for less than a second and then restart, restarts every time I try to go to the repair screen to reset the laptop to factory it puts me on a screen asking for a disc to install windows 7. When I bought my laptop, it came not with a drive and my laptop cannot do until the login screen so I can get a pirated copy. Currently, I need my laptop fixed as soon as POSSIBLE for my papers to the University, so I can't afford to breaking it.

Best regards

Hello:

You can make your own installation of W7 media and use the repair option on the lower left side of the Setup screen to try to repair the installation.

No need to use pirated software, it's the real thing... Instructions for use the media to reinstall windows if you can't use your recovery partition are also provided.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. The link below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

http://download.CNET.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-download-tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Satellite L50-A013 (Australia) - drivers 740M GT from NVIDIA for Win7 x 64

    Hello

Just bought this laptop shops yesterday. Immediately, had to downgrade to Win7 x 64 in order to run some of my office applications that don't work well in Win8. Find all the drivers for all components (from various sites because Toshiba has not posted of all the drivers in their Support - SILLY section!) - with the exception of the NVIDIA graphics card. The fine installed Intel HD 4000.

Tried to do this through autodetec of the NVIDIA site but I get the error "No. compatible device detected". Even with offline-mode drivers that have been downloaded.

Material is confirmed work because he was present in the installation of WIn8.

Any help from anyone here is appreciated. Anyone know of any other portable Toshiba using the GT 740 M + hybrid graphics Intel 4000 and can direct me to a place I can get the drivers from? Or someone from Toshiba, I can contact?

I found info that Toshiba Satellite S40t-AM007 has the same graphics but the drivers are not yet available. I presume it will build for Win8 only.

It is quite problematic with new models and Win7 support. Here in Europe, we have the same problem.
Google around a bit. You might find some other phones with the same graphical configuration.

  • Satellite P500 - Touchpad functionality under Win7

Took me to upgrade to Windows 7 RC, when I got my new laptop and I discovered that my side-scroller has stopped working.
The touchpad itself works fine, but the side scrolling didn't and I can't find the device for the use of Device Manager, it lists just a PS/2 mouse, so I don't know what brand of touchpad that is or how to get the drivers for it.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello Dabake

You use not released operating system.
Win7 is not officially on the market and didn t Toshiba Satellite P500 for start-up support.
I mean that you can be happy that most of the functions works well and properly until Toshiba starts Win7 support. This feature is so important to you?

Anyway, as Akuma wrote most of the drivers Vista works on Win7. Now, all you can do is install Vista touchpad driver designed for Satellite P300 and hope it works well.
I recommend you to use Synaptics driver version 10.1.7.

  • Windows 7 & Skylake Intel CPU support

I'm looking to build a new rig and want to continue using my Windows 7 existing license until the end of LIFE product in 2020 (or until 10 is radically improved or something else comes out).

By watching Z170 or x 99 platforms... leaning towards Z170 to allow future events.
During my research, I discovered the gen 6 new Intel processors Skylake will receive only Win7/updates on day of support until 2017.  I've also heard the Skylakes will be targeted and forced to upgrade to Win10 via Windows Update.  Are one of these true?
What are the other "newer" Intel processors (4th/5th gen i3/i5/i7, Haswell, etc.) that are currently planned for Win7 support 2020 pursuit?
In addition to my questions, please provide any additional info, you can share this topic.  Thanks for your help!

Actually in charge in what concerns the ends win-7 2020 and I guess, according to many users, it will be expanded as x - p,.

However, Intel is :), there is a difference of 18 months

Not to mention that it's only in what concerns the new drivers of your cpu or the motherboard will not stop working :D

Support, however, depends on what kind of problems you might face = probably none is I think it's just a tactic for fear of upgrade.

M$ is desperate to make everybody buy in this stupid upgrade and eat it too many licenses of win 7 because they can

There is no real reason 7 and 10 cannot co-exist unless M$ wants no more than 7 on the market.

  • I will be able to reinstall my windows if necessary after the end of support for Windows 7?

    Original title: windows supports

Last year, I bought Windows7 Home Premium and it works well so far. My question is after January 2020 (after the end of support) I will be able to reinstall my windows if neede? Also if there is no microsoft activation problem help me right here? Also even if the support of the application ends with its suppliers I will be able to download mse, it's to say & essentials of windows from the microsoft Web site myself since the automatic update is not available? or I'll be forced to buy Windows 8, 9, 10 or 11 at this time? Sorry people I know that this issue is too early and not be worried right now but I love windows 7 and I want to run for life so is this possible? Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes, you will be able to reinstall Win7 using the disks provided with your computer, the rescue disks, you have created and/or the hidden restore partition.

    2. where support for Win7 purposes, take in charge ends (for example, activation problems).

    3. There will come a time where the current version of Windows (Live) Essentials is not supported in Win7 - even if your currently installed version of Windows Essentials may continue to be supported for some time.

    4. by the time for purposes of Win7 support, chances are THAT MSE is no longer supported.

    5. No, you don't will be not "forced to buy" a new version of Windows (assuming that Microsoft is still for sale).

  • Satellite X 200 - 22U - FN key driver for Windows 7?

    Hi all!

    I use a laptop X 200 - 22U satellite, and I want to install Windows 7 32 bit on it.
The problem is that my main FN functions do not work.
They worked fine with Vista installed at the factory, but the multimedia keys were dead.
Now, under Win7 my multimedia keys work correctly, but the key functions of the FN are dead.

I have installed nearly all pilots (package of added value, controls, Flashcard, Assist, Chipset, Bluetooth, etc), but some of them is available for Win XP, others only for Vista, there is no Win7 support. Despite this (as I see it) my only problem is the essential support of the FN. I want to change the display, adjust the brightness, put mute the speakers, so that's the problem.

My tfncky.exe does not work under Win7 and I received a message about it after the start.
Is there a newer version of Win7, or can I use another laptop driver?
    Could you help me?

    Thank you
    McLawrence

    Hi mate

I have an older laptop and drivers Win 7 not released for the series.

I just downloaded the package of added value and utility of the page of the European driver Toshiba Flash Card Support: chose the tools that have been released for Satellite L500 series.

I installed first VAP and after restarting again, I followed with Flash card installation.
After the second restart, I tried the Fn keys and could achieve this functionality and the control bar appears at the top of the screen.

You can also check if you can restart the Flash card in all programs > Toshiba-> restart FlashCard

  • Windows 7 (64 bit) for Tecra M9 drivers

When will be possible to download drivers for Windows 7 64 bit?

As far as I know Win7 will be support begins when the Win7 is officially released. According to various sources, he should be in October/November.
So, we have to have patience and wait for Toshiba begin Win7 support. I use it on my Satellite Pro P300 and want to have all the drivers too.

  • Fingerprint utility-Windows 7 64-bit

The utility of fingerprints was released on 25 July (or earlier) - util_fingerprint_TC00187100A - does not work with Windows 7 RC X 64. According to me, it was working fine with the 32-bit version.

With the 64-bit version and the error is generated that the fingerprint sensor is not found.

In order to use the fingerprint sensor, most of us who have assessed the 64 bit version of Windows 7 have to rely on the Windows 7 driver and software. However, this driver seems not to be infallible in what becomes inoperative coming out of sleep.

I don't know if Toshiba really watching this site, but would be interested in hearing the reactions of others to the utility of fingerprinting.

  • Windows 7 will work on my Satelite U205-s5044?

I plan to install the Windows 7 operating system.
It will work on my satellite u205-s5044?

    Thank you

I think so. I mean why it should not work on your laptop satellite. The question is if your laptop model will be supported for Win7.
When Win7 supports begins to check the U.S. Toshiba support page to see if some drivers are available for your laptop model.
As far as I know for now, Toshiba WE offers a few BETA for Win7 drivers.

  • Downgrade from Windows 7 to XP. "Syntax error in the .sif file.

    Every afternoon.

I wasn't totally sure what forum to put this in.

My boss bought a new laptop of A11 - 11: my my line manager and asked that he be demoted to XP and put it on our network. (usually, it didn't network.)

It's Windows 7, so I know that's not easy to downgrade.

I changed the SATA setting in bios compatibility (IDE) and that allowed me to start running the installation CD.

    Then, I got this error;

"There is a syntax error in the." SIF file used by Setup Online: 8971.

Setup cannot continue. Stop or restart your computer. »

I have this with 3 different original discs

Looking around without decommissioning is to get rid of all the recovery partitions. So, I have that one hidden and now I have a large main drive to NTFS.

I still get the same error. No recovery disk. Original discs and now I'm totally stumped.

Are there any other settings in the Bios maybe I need to change?

Anyone has an idea what I might try?

    See you soon

You should try to install Windows XP Home (SP2 or SP3) using SATA driver to start loading. In this case do not use the compatibility mode but AHCI mode.

Without load the driver (F6 option at startup to install of WXP) SATA disk HARD will be not visible to Windows XP Home edition.
Option of job search on this forum and you will find so many threads on the installation of Windows XP Home on the latest portable Win7 supported.

  • Tecra S5 (PTS53E) - can not find drivers

I plan to upgrade to windows 7 on my tecra S5 model PTS53E. From what I've read here, it is possible to use the Vista drivers, but I can't even find them on http://www.toshibadriverscenter.com since this model is not on the list.
    Any idea?

    Hello

If you have a drivers search for the European model for laptop on the page of European support only.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

As you probably know Win7 is not yet launched in the market and Toshiba haven't started Win7 support.
On this Toshiba page we you can find the BETA drivers only. Check if you can find it for ANY model Tecra and test with your Tecra.
When Toshiba begins to support Win7 go European page and make clean install of Win7 with the proposed pilots.

  • Satellite C855-1TC not listed for upgrading to W10?

Please can someone explain why Toshiba doesn't list my phone to upgrade to Windows 10?

I have tile on the system tray, saying: I'm in the queue and it can happen in the next few days or weeks.

Why is it not my cell phone on the list of 10 windows upgrade if I'm starving, saying: I'm in the queue?

    First time poster.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Toshiba official policy does not to me, but I guess there must be some sort of 'deadline '. It is not possible to support so many different laptop models. Support, installation operating system, drivers and functionality tests. He is about to do and you have need of a big team for all this activity, so I think that all new models is supported.

A few years ago, we had the same situation with Vista and Win7 supports.

  • Satellite C50 - Has PSCJEE und Windows 7 Pro

    verybody,

I have a problem that Windows 7 Professional on the Toshiba Satellite installation described in the header. I have the operational system (after disabling secure boot, activating the boot of CSM, getting HD MBR and reformatting).

But I can't find the proper drivers. Drivers for WiFi, LAN, USB etc. are missing, and Toshiba doesn't offer its support page. Toshiba does support Windows 8.1 for this laptop which is unacceptable because Windows 7 is still a BONE of life and I can't make friends with Windows 8.1.

Does anyone know what drivers I need and where can I get them?

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

    Dear Mike

Vista is also living OS but nobody uses it and it has long been not supported for many models of laptop computers. Problem is that Toshiba and no matter what other laptop manufacturer can offer support for Win7 on all models of laptops forever.

After the departure of Win8 many models still supported for Win7, but I noticed that from the moment where Toshiba has begun to offer laptops that are equipped to support Win8.1 for Win7 was not so important no longer.
    > Anyone know what drivers I need and where can I get them?
What drivers? You need to know what hardware your laptop and try to find the drivers for older models of Win7 supported. It seems so easy, but it is not so easy to identify and find it all.

For example, this model should be
    -HM70 Express Chipset
    -Intel GPU
Map - Atheros WLAN + BT
    -Realtek LAN card

    And so on.
