Window 8 HP Envy 700 error on monitor
Hello
I am a newbie to forums so hope I'm doing this correctly. I received a HP Envy 700-074 office with Windows 8 for a Christmas gift. I took my old computer xp shop pc to transfer data and everything was fine until this morning. I received the following message appears on the display: scanning and no VGA or DVI signal found then goes to "sleep".
Help, please. I'm so frustrated right now. Husband and I are retired now. He tried to reset factory settings monitor has pulled the plug of monitor power and held the power button
for 60 seconds and back plugged in to the bottom.
Yesterday, I remember turning off... .unchecking "Restart automatically" because of the guarded pc restart all since I got this new pc.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Can you please check the following;
(1) make sure that the computer is connected to the display with a VGA, DVI or HDMI cable...
(2) make sure that the monitor and computer are powered...
(3) make sure that the monitor and the computer has been turned on... you should have a light on both.
Any number of things may happen and I want to be sure the computer is not stop or go to sleep. If please report back with your findings and let us know if the problem is solved or not.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I'm fed up with the problems resulting from Windows 8.1, for example the program incompatibility, Slow / no response in browsers, particularly IE 11, forced to use touchscreen interface style on conventional monitor and so on and so forth. I have a license of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit for my Dell Vostro laptop. Can I use it on my HP Envy Office 700-329 to replace Windows 8.1?
Hello:
It is forbidden to transfer the license OEM of Windows or using product key OEM the Dell laptop on HP desktop computer.
Please read the FAQ below... specifically...
Q. my client bought a new PC and wants to move the OEM software from the old PC to the new. Users cannot do what they want with their software?
A. no, the OEM software is licensed with the computer on which it was originally installed and system is linked to the original machine. OEM licenses are licenses for single use which cannot be installed on more than one computer system, even if the original machine is no longer in use. The 3668Microsoft Software License Terms, that the end user must accept before using the software, say that the license may not be shared, transferred or used concurrently on different computers. System integrators must provide support to the end user for the Windows license on build computers, they cannot support licenses on computers that they did not build. It is a fundamental reason why an OEM System Builder license cannot be transferred.

If you want to buy a license support and installation of W7, you can use the W7 x 74 drivers and the software of this model on your own, except the BIOS and firmware files.

HP Envy 311na 700: HP Envy 700-311na - no monitor output work
Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this.
No.: G9B05EA #ABU
Model n °: 700-311na
My PC works absolutely fine for the last two months, until what I tried to put on yesterday. My problem is that my screen displays "signal found" despite my branch above Tower.
Start-up and testing:
- When starting my PC I get the usual beeps and the Red led on it becomes as it normally would.
- The wifi light is on as it should be, on the front of my Tower.
- The usual flashing light also works as usual on the front of the tower.
- The fans work properly when turned on.
- My wireless keyboard and mouse are recognized as soon as a key is pressed or the mouse moves, like light blue on my connector USB lights up as it normally would.
- The CD open/close readers as it should.
What I've tried so far:
- Turning off and on again (no luck).
- Remove the power cord from the computer and hold the power button for 15 seconds before reconnecting and powered it back up (no luck).
- Connect my turn to another monitor via HDMI (no signal found error also on this one).
- With the help of my usual PC monitor for other things (my xbox entry was detected immediately on the monitor via HDMI).
- By using all the methods of display output 3 available with my usual monitor (DVI, HDMI, DP), none of them worked and all would result in no error signal on the screen.
- Withdrawal/meeting the cables of the screen. This does not give rise to my monitor to turn on as if is acknowledged the connection has been established to an output device, but once the display lights I get the usual error message ("this is the case with two DVI and DP connections, HDMI does not give me a lot of joy, but maybe it's because she's going through a ' 1 autodetect in 3 out" HDMI splitter.) The separator acknowledges, that the HDMI is connected, but I get the normal red light that appears when a Powered HDMI is bound upward).
What I did:
- Touched the BIOS.
- Damaged the machine.
- Disassembled the machine somehow.
I'm full of ideas on what else to try. I had the PC for more than a year and has a problem similar to that in the first months of her own, I think it's something to do with the power supply cable (a friend looked for me), but he managed to make it work back again. Unfortunately I am no longer able to contact my friend on this problem, so I am completely in the dark. Help would be very appreciated (please avoid some specialized terms as I am a little one recruit across a company PC fixing).
Thanks in advance.
Hello
Thank you for your response. Fortunately, I can offer you a solution to my own question! In my view, a windows update 10 can occur during the last stopped that I made. The update I think doing something to the BIOS that was the issue.
I did the following steps and managed to get the display to start working again:
- Turn on the computer and press the F10 key for eight seconds.
-
HP Envy 700-074 custom ' mode "Eve"
- Windows 8
- HP Envy 700-074 with monitor from 2005.
- Keyboard and mouse wireless
- 2005 via USB HP printer (don't know the model right now, I'm at work)
- The screensaver is the folding at home screensaver.
- HP Envy bought in February 2014.
The computer enters mode "Eve" from one day to the next, or I hit function-SleepButton. Monitor goes into mode with a yellow economy light energy.
When I try to wake the computer via the keyboard, the monitor is from yellow to green, which means that the PC is a signal, the fans of PC and the light is on, but the screen remains black.
Tried to update the bios by using this link , but I get an error every time:
"This update of the BIOS is not compatible with this unit". I think it's BIOS has not confirmed the update via msinfo32. BIOS version is still 80.15. Option to upgrade button is gray, this button on the same BIOS update screen as 'Save BIOS to flash drive' and 'Save BIOS file.
The issue is not that the keyboard is not set to wake up the PC, as the monitor light goes from yellow to green, when I type any key of the keyboard. Which indicates that the PC is a signal.
What are my options here?
Thank you.
Your update to the newest BIOS would not go. So I installed all the updates Windows 8, including those in option, and it seems now out of fashion 'sleep'. Thank you.

I recently installed Windows 7 on my hp envy 700-414 and missing a lot of pilots. A user by the name of banhiem gave me a link to download the drivers of a 700-230 hp envy. After I did it, I clicked on another link, it gave me to install the Realtek network controller. Whenever I tried to install the driver, it would tell me that I did not meet the requirements. Other drivers work fine now, except the network controller. The steps on how to fix this error would be greatly appreciated.

HP Envy 700-074 Graphics Card problem Windows 8
Greetings,
I recently bought the HP ENVY 700-074 (http://http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us & dlc = in & lang = to & lc = in & product = 5371495).
Initial setup went fine without any problem. I replaced the power supply so that I could add the graphics card from my old computer. The power supply and graphics card worked perfectly for my old computer. Feeding is a BFG Tech GX 550 watt modular power supply series. The graphics card, I have installed is the Nvidia 560ti.
The problem is that, when I start the computer, my screen goes to sleep (as there is no signal) until the login Windows 8 screen lights up. At this time, my screen lights up and it is normally. However, if updates or restarts the computer, the screen turns off again and he returned sometimes when loading the desktop computer. I tried to get into the BIOS to see if I could disable the onboard graphics, but I have been unable to access BIOS because I don't see anything on the screen during startup. I removed the Nvidia card and returned to the use of the integrated graphics card and everything is back to normal. I managed to enter the BIOS at the time here, but I don't see any possibility to disable the integrated graphics card or use the PCIe as main display (unless I missed something).
I also noticed that Windows 8 shows I have 2 screens installed when only 1 is installed physiclaly. My HP (HP 2009 m) monitor is listed in Monitor 2 and I initially had to go through the windows to get my HP Monitor to display the entire desktop (as it origionally extended from the start, the desktop computer). However, number of monitor 1 is listed as monitor of generic cards. Thinking that the computer used the non-existent monitor like main display when starting, I deleted the generic monitor than to have to reinstall windows. I also tried to disable, but the problem persists.
I guess that there is a conflict between the integrated graphics card and the Nvidia card. However, I assumed that the edge will be disabled automatically after inserting a card into the PCIe slot as the integrated graphics card watch is no longer under device mananger.
Hello:
Have you changed the settings of the BIOS 2 (required) before installing the video card no HP?
If this isn't the case, please read the info on the link below.

When I connect to HP support, correctly identifies my PC (HP Envy 700-330qe CTO Desktop), but trying to find the recommendations of the exceptional software, I get a message "HP has encountered an error when trying to analyze your product".

Want to 700-329: HP Envy 700-329 accepts no no Windows Pro 8.1!
Hello
I recently bought a HP Envy 700-329 for our society. It came pre-installed with Windows 8.1 Basiles Premium.
I had to format and put Windows Pro 8.1 on it, so we could join our field.
However, what continues to be, is whenever I have install Professional 8.1, it seems that it is only 8.1 Premium Basiles once again!
The first time this happened, I talked to the person that I bought the computer and 8.1 Professional form and he replaced the 8.1 Professional Windows with another copy.
However, who has not solved the problem.
Is there something that HP is doing so, we cannot spend operating systems?
Please let me know. I really need this working!
At any time.
I am pleased to have been of assistance.
It's bad enough that you can't go directly to the source and get a response.
You will have just to use the product key from the disc you bought and 'unlock' W8.1 Pro.
As I wrote yesterday, I have looked everywhere for work around the problem and came away empty-handed.
You're not the only person who posted this question on this forum. No one I know could clean install W8 or W8.1 Pro on a PC that came with the W8 standard or W8.1.
The standard key fills the installation and errors with an invalid product key.
You used to be able to change the product key here when you've got an error like that in XP, Vista and W7, but with this new 3.0 activation, this option is no longer present.

HP ENVY 700-029eb desktop PC. Update to Windows not sure 8.1?
Hello world
HP ENVY 700-029eb-computer for office
Model: E3H39EAWindows 8
A question related to the following message on my HP computer:
-----------------------------
HP has not tested this PC with Windows 8.1
For this reason, HP is unable to update providence instructions or Windows 8.1 drivers.
You can now lose stability and basic functionality if you try to update your system.
-----------------------------A Windows 8.1 update could make the System unstable, so the message of HP.
But my computer is always busy preparing the update and guard asks me to do the 8.1 update.
So can I install Windows 8.1 safely on this computer? Or how to turn off the update?
We appreciate your comments and advice.
GuyterB1964, welcome to the forum.
I do not understand these messages. Here is the download page for software and driver for the computer. As you can see, all the drivers for win 8.1 are listed. They would not list them as much as they have not been tested. I see no reason not to do the update.
Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

Hello.
I hope there, can someone help me!
I tried several times to improve my HP Envy 15-K204NA for 64-bit Windows of 8.1 to 10 Windows Home, but she continues to fail with the error code 80070714.
I use Protection Premium Bullguard and Acronis True Image installed.
I disabled the SQL services as suggested by other posts on the internet, but nothing seems to work.
When I run the upgrade from a DVD burned ISO, it gets 37% and fails.
Hope you can help. (fingers crossed!)

Monitor dell U2412M will work on HP Envy 700-230qe
I buy a HP ENVY 700-230qe, my current dell monitor will work smoothly with the installed graphics GeForce GTX 645 card?
Bama11, welcome to the forum.
After reviewing the specifications of the computer and the monitor, I see no reason why the monitor does not work very well. I suggest to update the software and the driver to the latest version for the monitor and video card. I have a suggestion, if you have not ordered the compupter buy 600W power supply (PSU). It will be better food for the video card and the future updates.
I would be grateful is we would give you an update when you buy the computer.

HP ENVY 700-210xt: how to reinstall after upgrade windows 10
I bought a HP ENVY 700 - 210xt delivered with Windows 8.1 and included a recovery for the same partition. At one point last year, I used the free update of Microsoft to take the system up to 10 Windows. As far as I know, it has no effect on the recovery partition. Now, I met a hard drive problem, where the system will not start or recover. My hypothesis is that I need to reinstall from scratch, but I have some problems.
- If I order the HP recovery discs, they will be for Windows 8.1, but not my upgrade to Windows 10 invalidated the original license key?
- If I get somehow 8.1 Windows reinstalled with the original key, can I still the free update me for Windows 10 of Microsoft? I guess that their records show that I've already updated.
- If I can't get this path to work, is there a direct way to return to Windows 10? As part of the upgrade, I've never seen a new license key, but maybe it was and I never saw him.
Thanks for any help!

You need a support SSD (like this) so he can climb properly. I also was called to tie an SSD in the case from time to time... since it has no moving parts and is not fragile like hard drives disk.

HP ENVY 700: Try to run a 3 monitor Setup.
I installed a new graphics card (Geforce GT 610) o my HP Envy 700. My motherboard has montior 2 plug-ins that are used, however when I installed the new video card it only doesn't show the monitor third at startup not the first 2 that are used on the motherboard. I discovered that I need to go into the Woods to change settings. Here are the steps I've tried.
go to settings > change PC settings > update & Recovery > Recovery > restart now > shoot evil > advance options > UEFI firmware > restart
After doing this, I get wood but I am not able to find the main graphics card to IGP > PCI > PIE for him to run at the same time. Is this okay, I am I doing somethig wrong. Is there something that I am missing.
Joe
Hello again @Joebarnes,
Ahh well integrated graphic card does not work with the new card is installed. This means you will need an active USB-> DVI or Active USB-> HDMI graphics card to connect the additional monitor. These can be easily found via a search online. Be warned that they will not even display those directly related, quality but they have audio and video capabilities.
I hope this helps. Thank you again for post you on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!
