  Before you install Windows patches I will take a snapshot of my Windows servers, then I install the patches. Once I have check all patches installed correctly and I don't see the blue screens I remove snapshots.

  If I understand correctly delete snapshots actually leaves me with a good OS currently connected.

  Someone has another method, that's how "correct" to do and if not what is your opinion?

  4. Right-click QFEInstalled , click modify , type 1 in the value data box to assign a value of 1 to the registry entry and then click OK.

  Question: Is there a similar registry entry that will force Windows XP , Vista or 7 updates to day doing the same thing, instead of the version of GDR files, it installs the version of LDR branch?

To my horror, I found that I lost the box with the discs it. I have a stand-alone copy of Windows XP I have installed on my new HD and since then, I come to the Toshibas Web site and I can't find/match a part of the drivers in the below list.

  If all the above does not work, try this, it does!

  Problem Message:
  DLL user32.dll system has been moved in memory...

  Solution:
  1 uninstall windows hotfix KB925902 (if not visible-check "show updates" box on the top of the Add or remove program window)
  2 DO NOT RESTART YET!
  3 Goto automatic updates in Control Panel, check "notify me but don't automatically download or install.
  4 when there are updates, you will get a popup informing you, click top and goto manual (NOT express)
  If MS wants to reinstall this hotfix KB925902, uncheck it and check the box "never warn me about this update again" in the next window.

  This should fix the problem for now, I hope that MS will come out a better fix soon

  If your PC behaves properly, you can remove the hidden Windows hotfix backup files that start with $NTUninstallKB to the WINDOWS folder. There are two ways to do:

  A. manually, but copy files on a CD/DVD first to enable their restoration has a fix must be removed thereafter.   I'm migrating a 10.2.0.4 database of 32-bit Windows to 64-bit Linux. I use OPatch to ensure that the RDBMS software is at the same level and have found I have patch #7522473 (10.2.0.4.12P) installed in my house Oracle Windows but not Linux.   The 'P' in the way patch number is platform-specific. Windows patch bundles are completely different from the rest of the platforms supported, like for Windows patches are merged into the bundle and binary are precompiled, there is no unique pieces for the Oracle executable files.
