Windows 10 and Quicktime

I just upgraded to Windows 10.  QuickTime will not install if you have Windows installed 10.  So I can't use the .mov clips in After Effects or Premiere Pro.

Anyone else having this problem or a solution?

The main problem is that the Quicktime installation program has not been updated for windows 10 (I wonder why)... If you need a small transformation file hack to do a custom installation. Fortunately, there was a programmer named Tommy Stephansen who did a program of personal custom installation that works perfectly on windows 10 and solved all the problems I ve had with quicktime codecs + After Efects on windows 10. I hope this helps for you guys.

The problem is that my PC with Windows 7 is 64-bit and I can't find the right version/s download.

Facts: firstly - I downloaded itunes and received an error that I need to download QuickTime, then I downloaded quicktime with itunes and and received an error message that qtime was for 32 not 64 bit and I need the 64-bit version.  I can't find the combo of the two download requests or quicktime on its own compatible for windows 7 64 bit.

  • Possibility to import .mov/Quicktime with Windows 8 and creative cloud files?

I have recently just bought a machine from Windows 8 and I would continue to use the new operating system (that I can tell, I'm an optimist). Such a disappointment that I cannot get Quicktime for Windows 8 and therefore impossible to import the .mov files in Premiere Pro. Is there a solution for this? I've seen people talk about using an old version of QT with some success, but I can't find one. I have also heard people talk about conversion using another software first of all, I'm just worried about this. I'm always afraid I'm losing something during the conversion, not to mention that I won't pay anything for additional software.

I use Quicktime Pro version 7.7.3 on Windows 8 x 64 now.  Works very well.

  • Update iTunes 10 Windows problem and Solution

I have a solution that worked for me, when Apple's CEO did not all trying to update iTunes 10 Windows.  I do not claim that their solution was bad, just that it has not resolved the problem for me, but lead me to the solution that did.

The problem I had was that during the update, I would like to get the package of Windows error message that wouldn't let him proceed in process.  "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.  A program required for this install to complete could not be run.  Contact your supplier of staff or the package of support ".

THE SOLUTION: click on the Windows icon and go to settings > system > applications and features.  Click on Apple software update > change > change > repair

Once the repair has been completed, I was able to install iTunes without any problems.

How I found this solution: I tried the recommendation to Apple for this message exact error uninstall and reinstall iTunes, who had the same error message.  The next step was to uninstall QuickTime and iTunes, then the Apple Software Update.  At this point, the Apple software update wouldn't uninstall and generated the same error of Windows package as described above.  I fixed Apple Software Update and rather than proceed with the rest of the facilities, I advanced and installed iTunes.  He worked like a champ and he saved me a bunch of times.

    Thanks Airshipguy. It really worked.

I have not tried all the recommendations of Apple support, being out of pocket for the time and also the uncertainty of losing the settings. Before you read this post, I tried to repair only iTunes. After reading the post above, I fixed all facilities Apple in a sequence such that the last of them was that of "Apple Software Update". I made this sequence intuitively and have no scientific reason.

For those who need to be more aware of 10 Windows, right click the windows button, select "Programs and features" and then search for Apple. As indicated in the post above, it's the "Apple Software Update" that did the trick.

My response was to reassure people that it works. Often, a single post does not give that confidence to give it a go!

Just click in this thread on your account name and you will see the list of all threads that are created.

I saw your ad on the other and you're pretty confused with this. On laptops Toshiba, there is no recovery partition and recovery image is recorded on the second partition in the file called HDDRecovery. Do not change anything here and you will be able to use the HARD drive recovery facility when you want using F8 and repair my computer option.

iTunes and QuickTime are not Toshiba applications and if you have problems with it you should contact Apple and their support. They have designed and tested clean products and they should be able to help.

  • Windows xp and mp4 files.

I have windows xp and you can't play a mp4 file.  All ideas/solutions?

There are many types of mp4 files, you need to know which codec made those you want to play and then install the codec for it.

If it came from a camera, you can find the disk contains the codec you need, or can help ensure that you have the latest version of quicktime.

Otherwise, use avicodec to find out what it is, then look for the manufacturer of the codec, I recommend to install the codec packs.

I am trying to remove iTunes in my computer through my control panel, but its telling me that it cannot remove, because of unavailable network resources.  I accidentally deleted quicktime then this all started.  Before iTunes was working.  When I try to re-download the ITunes it says that you must delete old version first.  Please help me someone with a great idea?

    Hello

Step 1: Check if you are able to uninstall iTunes in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start and then click Run.

    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Step 2: Pass through 'Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled' in the article below: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

Then try to reinstall iTunes .

  • Windows Picture and Fax Viewer corrupt file but signals the file is not.

I have many discs of 1.44 MB with pictures.  When I tried to open that I received a message that QuickTime has not been installed correctly. I uninstalled and reinstalled Quick Time by following the instructions.  Then I got a message from this Windows image and Fax Viewer was missing, which I corrected and image, now get a message that the files are corrupt.  But if I use the program that is on the disk, the images appear fine.  Any thoughts on what is happening?

    Thanks for the comments.

  • Double click on the photo (my photo) causes PC freeze with message "not responding" (scheduled for the windows fax and picture viewer)

    WINDOWS XP

"This program is not responding...". »

I then have to click on the right upper window X two times to close the window. When it closes Finally, everything on the desktop disappears for about 3 seconds then reappears as if the PC restarted, but it does not actually restart.

My images, the other day, all open without this feeze/final issue. I don't have these problems when you use Windows XP Paint, Jasc Paint Shop, or Quicktime to open images, once set by default... Just does not work with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer more and all my photos are already defined (default) to open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer - clicking Properties confirms this.

Also, if I right click on the individual image to 'open with' and manually choose 'open with' Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, it will then open and I can scroll all the following pictures an image in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. "But I can't just click on an individual picture, otherwise, it will freeze just straight up.  Difficulty It Center Microsoft could not automatically repair because the shimgvw.dll file already exists.

I used to always use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer with no such problems. I have not the slightest idea what happened... even though I was messing around with 1) Component Services > Security Com > permissions & launch Activate and Run permissions) 2 > Regedit > Edit > "Permissions" last week and changed "Registered Owner" in HKEY LOCAL MACHINE and some other stuff like that. Could permissions and changing names have caused this unexpected problem in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer? If so, the changes I made will not be changed back, then how can I fix a broken Windows Picture and Fax Viewer?  And if these changes, last week, have nothing to do with this "opening images in the image Windows and Fax Viewer problem,' so what?

I did your suggestion before posting here. I saw the same solution as your addition, the interpreter, but it does not solve the problem because I already had the shimgvw.dll etc. in their proper place and my photos/images were not always open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer the way I wanted them to open.

Since I got my photos all open as I wanted (as before) this way to use Windows Picture and Fax viewer:

Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types: I changed then each file/folder associated with 'images' to open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I determined this by reading the details for each extension / the item highlighted. If the referenced details 'images', I then clicked on change and choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to open the extension.

I went through everything everyone who was not obvious that they are. I made a change: BMP, GIF, EMF, JFIF, JPE, JPEG, etc... I changed at least 12 (more than I thought it was).

Immediately after changing all of these types of files, I rebooted and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer was still working the way I wanted to (as before).

  • Problems to install iTunes and Quicktime

I had problems with the installation of all downloads, but the most important of them is me itunes and quicktime, everything that I try to install it says that the

program does not have a valid digital signature, I did some research and found that this normally wouldn't be a problem because you can ignore

and install the program. This is not the case, because it seems that my computer where if the digital signature is not valid, I can't install the program. This has been

for a few months now and it seems to be affecting only recently updated software.

    Hello JFINK,.

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Just for your understanding, the definition of a digital signature is lower.

What is a digital signature? I suggest that make sure you that the antivirus program is up to date, if you do not have a Windows Live OneCaretrial.  Then try to do the installation.

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.  I hope the information is useful.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Take a look at Apple's support site and do a search there.

Is - this similar to your problem?  If so, there are a few similar posts here that can help.

If it is the same thing, some say it seems to be a problem with too many (bad/old/incorrect) quicktime files or files in windows\system32 or windows\SysWOW64\ apparently. But it also seems to be a common problem with a quick google search.
