Windows 10 sleep set to never, but he won't answer after that one night left.

I just "upgraded" my HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1260t for Windows 7 Pro 10.  The upgrade went without problems, but now he will not have been left on all night.  It requires a difficult start to reboot, even if the mouse is still functional and the screen returns to the top.  I put up-to-date drivers for the keyboard and mouse, changed the power management to close the display, but the value of the other option of sleep '' never. ''  What did I miss?  BTW, it of on all day and returned upward normally after a few hours not used.  The display stops after 15 minutes, but returns normally.

All suggestions are appriciated.

Thank you

Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!

According to the information here, your computer does not officially support Windows 10 - support are only Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 for this device. This means that HP is not officially released drivers for your computer and is not officially compatible problems that occur under Win 10 for this device.

Your options are:

-Replace the previous operating system - for example Windows 7. Windows 7 is the operating system that is stable and will be supported by Microsoft until 2020. Here's how to revert to the previous version (can be done easily upward at 30 days after upgrade)

-continue to use Windows 10 even if not officially supported.

Try to use HP Support Assistant to see if it will offer driver updates - it's not only drives the mouse but chipset, video card, etc... Instructions and download information can be found here > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467905

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer when you used the last time? For example, you have installed updates or a program of ny?

    Method 1.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 2.
    Step A.
Start your computer in safe mode and check if it starts.

    Step B.
If it starts on the desktop in safe mode and then set your computer to the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem. We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem.

See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3.
I recommend you to restore system using a Windows Vista DVD.

    Here's how:
To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows Vista installation disc.
If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows Vista installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
    a. Insert the disc.
    b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
    f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.

    g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.

  • I HAVE WINDOWS XP AND INSTALLED IE 8, BUT HE WON'T. NOW WHAT?

I HAVE WINDOWS XP, HE ASKED TO INSTALL, I HAVE E-8. WHAT I DID. NOW WHEN I GO ON DIFFERENT SITES, I GET A MESSAGE INDICATING THAT I AM STILL USING IE - 7, CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD. WHY SHOULD WE NOT HOLD?

Go using internet explore and click on about Internet Explore.

It will tell you which version of ie you have.

When I installed IE 8 kept msg pop up to install ie8, but it is to install additional items.

    You click it and check?

  • How can transfer emails to another account, but only at certain times of the day (after that reception has left and before the start of the next working day)?

I run a private school. The receptionist left to 1800 and begins at 0900 the following day.

How to receive email between 1800 and 0900 to my private account, but not the e-mail during business hours?

I guess that you have a computer with Thunderbird installed.
I imagine that you have a profile with an e-mail account that is used for the activities of the private school and the receptionist has access to this email account, if you don't want the receptionist to see your personal emails.

I would approach this by creating "User accounts" on the computer.
Thunderbird would work in all user accounts.
A standard user account could be used by the recepionist which would profile with business e-mail address account.

The main account of the "Admin" user, accessible by entering a password, have your profile and your personal email to your personal email account.
Then you can connect to your user account, open Thunderbird and access/download your emails whenever you want. Output of Thunderbird and your user account when you are finished. The receptionist will not have access without knowing your user account password.

Alternatively, if you use the same user account:
If you have created another profile and added a new existing for your personal email address, then after 1800hours e-mail account, you can leave the profile used for the account of the company and open the profile with your personal e-mail account to download emails. By offering you this profile nearby and open the profile of the company before 0900hrs, then it works as expected.
If you use the same user account, it is possible, if the receptionist knows how to open your profile and read emails. Thunderbird password manager may be used to protect access to your e-mail account password, but not stop playback of downloaded emails.
So why it is preferable to use "User accounts" as described in the first option.

  • using 30 firefox in windows 7, I get a blank when you restart, if I don't have that one tab open when I close it.

I have my options set for firefox "open windows and tabs from last time", but whenever I don't have that one tab left open, I get a blank page. If I have several tabs, then it opens with the tab and windows.
I am running Windows 7 Professional and Firefox 30. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Quote: it's only when I have no tabs open I get the blank page (instead of the homepage).

There is always at least one open tab, if it didn't is no extensions installed that hide the bar tab in this case.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • Re: Satellite M100: BSOD at each start of the first up - but ok after that

I have a weird problem. Recently, I bought a laptop series M100 in Thailand - he has worked there. Brought to the United Kingdom and since then now on a startup cold upward, I get a blue screen every time, and after that one or 2 other blue screens - ACPI.sys error for example.

After that it starts (when I use last good configuration XP SP2) and I can't restart/powerdown as much as I like. If I leave the laptop for an hour to cool, I get the blue screen issue again.

No idea what could cause this problem - could it be specific temperature?
The Bangkok airport x-ray machine would not cause a problem?

Has anyone seen this kind of things before?

    Any help, very grateful.
    Shaun

Don t think it has something to do with the temperature inside the laptop. I would exclude the overheating problem, but you can always try to clean the fans to make sure that the computer laptop parts can properly cooled.

A BSOD usually appears for different reasons. Hardware and a software problem might be responsible for these BSOD error messages.
A new installation of clean operating system isn't a bad idea.
But as I said above the hardware problem may be possible. I think of the memory and HARD drive failure

    Thank you

    Hello

    1. what happens when you restart the computer from sleep? It back to windows, such as the release of sleep or does go through the normal boot process?

2 have you done any recent software or the hardware changes on your computer?

    3. don't you face the problem only by playing games?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run a full scan of your computer and check.

    Microsoft Security Essentials

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, it is possible that infected files would be deleted.

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to start your computer in a clean boot state, and check if all third-party software could be the cause. Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Don't forget to return the computer to normal after completing the troubleshooting by following the steps described in step 7.

    Method 3:

I also suggest that you perform a clean boot material to check if the problem is caused by any device.

Follow these steps to perform a clean boot material:

    a. disconnect all external devices.

    b. start the computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    c. click 'Start', type 'DEVMGMT.» SMC"in the search text box and press ENTER."

    d. expand "graphics cards".

    e. right click on your graphics card, select "Properties"

    f. click the "driver" tab, click on disable (disable the selected device). Click OK

    g. use the same method to disable other devices such as: map of the sound card, Modem, network, CD - R drive. Note Some devices not available must be disabled.

    h. restart the computer.

After you turn off the devices, start in normal mode and try to activate the devices one by one and check which device is causing the problem.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

You don't want to automatically install drivers from Windows Update or another source.
