Just open your main Gdrive/Windows folder and choose search & Union Options / folders:

  • Windows search can not find my files

Even if I indexed all folders on my computer Windows Search can not find something of my music, my pictures, and my videos folders. I checked if they are indexed and they are. I tried rebuilding the index, but it did not help. Does anyone know what may be the problem?

Problem solved. One of my programs has changed the use of the search bar for "do not search" menu properties taskbar and start, I have no idea why.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

I struggled with the same problem for a few hours. Finally, I discovered that:

If you are looking for a word in a file name, then you must start the search string with an asterisk (wildcard character), in the opposite case, Windows will detect nothing. For example, if you are looking for "cyberdyne" in a file name, then you must look for the two "cyberdyne" and "* cyberdyne.

If the word you are looking for is at the beginning of the name of the file, or if it is preceded by a dash or a dot, then Windows Explorer is the file without the asterisk.

  • Windows 7 can not find the network

Hi guys I hope that someone can help me, I walked trough the forums but none of the above helped me. I also do not really understand some of them. But that's what happened. My internet was fine yesterday, I was watching some stuff on aliexpress when my mouse froze, I tried to restart the laptop, but nothing worked so I had to remove the battery. After that the computer took forever to turn back and when he did my computer did not find my wifi more. I ran the following anti-virus, I tried the steps in the verification of all past system. I went in Sync Center, I have trid addition in manual, I tried to search for a wifi switch (I don't think I have a) I tried to restart the pc and the internet, I tried the system restore, I don't really know what else to do. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kate,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that Windows 7 can't find the network and I appreciate the efforts made to try the patches. Let me ask you;

    • Restoring the system led?
    • What exactly happens when you try to connect to the Wi - Fi?

This could be due to several reasons, including any third party software conflict. Try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network and check if the problem persists. If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

Step 1: Start the computer using safe mode with networking

Safe mode with networking is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. Safe Mode with networking appears in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using. You can use the internet connection in this mode.

Please refer to: , start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: Perform a clean boot in order to avoid any conflict of third party software.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Method 2: Update the network adapter

Step 1: Update the driver through Device Manager

    a. click Start , type Device Manager and click on it

    b. expand network adapters

    c. make a right click driver, and then click Update driver software

Step 2: Install the Windows updates pending

    To check the updates:

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click check for updates, and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer.

    3. If you see a message telling you that important updates are available, or you say to look at the important updates, click the message to view and select the updates to install.

    4. In the list, click the important updates for more information. Select the check boxes for the updates that you want to install and then click OK.

    5. Click install updates.

Read and accept the terms of the license and then click Finish if the update requires it. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Step 3: Visit the computer manufacturer's support Web site and install the latest network for Windows 8 for the same model of device drivers.

  • Windows CD can not find installed hard drives

I have a PC that has windows XP installed and worked well and I have DSL so I kept it updated. It has been updated for the updates. It was a month that it seemed hung on a windows update and I've finally powered down to exit the update mode. After that, he would finally in XP but would not other that the busy when an icon is clicked. I decided to reload XP using the same CD I used originally when I built PC. It will load the drivers to install XP, but when installing windows is selected it says no hard drives found. When booting 2 HARD disks are displayed, but are not detected when you look in the BIOS. I've tried changes in the BIOS as auto detect HDD including default BIOS and not go. I remembered to change a partition using Partition magic 8.0 and decided that might be the problem, so I started in the magic of partition and formatted part C of the HDD in NTFS, but the results are the same. Any suggestion is appreciated. TIA

Do you mean you see a message like this?

Setup did not find any hard drives installed in your computer. Make sure that the hard drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any hardware configuration of the drives is correct. This may involve a diagnosis provided by the manufacturer or the installer running. Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3.

If the disks are not appearing in BIOS, it seems unlikely that XP will be able to see them no more.

Describe the best you can, your hard disk configuration...  IDE, SATA, SCSI, RAID configurations...

You build the hardware yourself or is it a system store bought?

Are you able to determine when the system turns on, the brand and model of your motherboard and the BIOS it is running?

Without more information, I can only offers these general reflections where to search:

When you see a message like this, obviously the XP installation starts to load, but then when the installation program needs to go out and find your hard drive is not find the hard drive.  It means not necessarily your hard drive is defective and if it worked before, it's probably still plugged.  It simply means that the installation of XP is not able to find it.

Looks like you need enter the BIOS on your system by pressing the 'Delete', F2, F10 or F12 key (what the key is good for your system), find the section where the types of hard disks and hard disk interfaces are configured and temporarily change the setting so the XP installation is able to find the hard drive.

Where to find the accommodation and how to change depends on your system manufacturer and the version of the BIOS, so you end up having to look at her.  If you know your system brand and model, we can probably help you find a job.

You must locate and change the interface mode to your hard drive in the BIOS so that when installing XP loading, it will be able to locate the hard drive.

Before making adjustments, you should take note of what are the current BIOS settings, so you can change when you are finished.

The adjustment varies so here are some examples that I have accumulated:

The adjustment is done in the BIOS and could be in Integrated Peripherals, Configuration of SATA, SATA Mode device.  After you make the changes, save them and restart your XP installation program.

If you find that the mode is set on the RAID/SATA mode, change the IDE mode.

If you find that the mode is set to AHCI, change the ATA mode.

If you find that the mode is set to AHCI emulation Mode, change the IDE emulation mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA, SATA mode off or change the ATA mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA Native Mode, disable the native SATA Mode.

If you find that the mode is set on AHCI/RAID Autodetect, change the combination mode.

If find you the setting that works for you, I would like to know what it is so I can add it to my notes.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Windows 7 can not find my Walkman MP3 Player

I'm on a new PC with Windows 7.  I use a MP3 Walkman (NWZ-E436F) Player, and he uses a program called "transfer content", well, transfer the music files on the device.  It worked on my last computer with XP (service pack 3, I think), but now with Windows 7, it is not locate the player.  I downloaded the latest version of the transfer content from Sony, and their website says I don't need to update the firmware.  Execution of the program of transfer of content, but it says 'please connect the unit' I can't 'find' the unit in any other way on the computer either.  It loads when I plug it into the USB port, but the computer don't think it exists.  Any ideas?

    Its salvation,

I suggest trying to connect USB devices to a different USB port and check if the computer detects the USB devices.

You can also try to temporarily disable any security software installed on the computer and check if the USB device is recognized on your computer, later, re - activate the security software. After checking with the security software disabled and if its recognized, you can contact the manufacturer of security software to check if there are settings that must be changed.

Note: this link is for Windows Vista and also applies to windows 7.

You can try to connect the MP3 another computer and check if they are detected on this computer.

If the problem persists, you can try to update the USB drivers on your desktop by accessing the computer manufacturer's website. Also I recommend to contact the computer manufacturer to obtain support and check if the USB ports are working fine and if there are updates to install on your computer.

Note: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Windows 7 can not find bluetooth, windows 10 can devices.

Then, I had this problem for several years now. I tried all possible solutions on the internet, but I can't do it. Bluetooth does not work on my Windows 7 64 bit. It's not fair. I have attached my bluetooth dongle. Windows installs the driver so that he (CSR Bluetooth Chip) and this is where my story ends. I never got beyond that point. It seems that I should be able to detect bluetooth devices now, but no, it isn't. There is no bluetooth on the PC option either. The only thing I can find is the driver in Device Manager. I can see that it is listed under Bluetooth radios. I see the dongle in devices and printers. When I right click on it, there is an option for Bluetooth settings. In these circles is a visibility option (this PC can be detected by other devices), but every time I check the box and click on apply, it gives me an error. I thought that was the problem, or it was something to do with the dongle.

BUT, then, I installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview. I saw the Bluetooth option. I thought I should try. I clicked on the button and immediately, I found all the bluetooth devices. It has never been easier.

I wonder, why does Windows 7 find my devices? As much as I have now, there is no button Bluetooth click on Windows 7. Yes, there's an add an option of the device, but it is not specific Bluetooth.

So, what occupies me here? I begin to suspect that somethings wrong with my Windows 7. There is no bluetooth option integrated at all? Please, I want to solve this problem, after all this time. Thank you in advance.

For the Bluetooth dongle, have you tried install any driver that was provided?

Windows 7 is a pretty old OS compared with Windows 10. In each version of Windows, Microsoft adds device drivers for various devices, as provided by the manufacturers, called the OEM. Windows 7 has some Bluetooth drivers and the generic drivers. Therefore, the device is getting detected as Bluetooth, but all features may not be used. So you see the dongle Bluetooth works in Windows 10, but not in Windows 7. The only solution is the installation of the drivers. If you do not have a driver disc, download the drivers from the manufacturer's website. Installation of the drivers, the problem will be solved.

  • Windows 7 can not find WMP54G more

Hi all I need your help!

It was December 2009. I got a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit and I got my WMP54G for work.

But, August 2010, I started my computer and I noticed that I had no connection to the Internet. I reinstalled my WMP54G driver and it still doesn't work.

But the problem now is: my computer can not detect the WMP54G. It does not appear in Device Manager. I went to the back of my computer and I noticed there was no green light flashes. I tried different PCI expansion slots, but it did not work.

    Please help me!

    Thank you very much!

As you have already tried to connect the different PCI slot adapter, have you tried to connect the adapter on another computer? If on the other computer, it does not detect the card, then I think you adapter must have gone wrong.

  • Windows 7 can not find updates

Recently, I discovered that my machine was not automatically download and install updates since early August.  The laptop is several years old; I bought it new, and it came with Windows 7.  That's what I've tried so far:

Turn off everything except the MS in MSConfig services.

Download and run this file: WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab.

    Temporarily disable my antivirus Eset.

None of them worked.  I'm poking around the Download Center, but could not find a chronological list of updates to download manually.

    Any suggestions?

My Samsung RV510's laptop had windows 7 on front and without wire worked but recently my hard drive for this laptop broke and I had to get a new HARD drive. Now I have a new one that I installed windows 7 on it and now it cannot find wireless network connections even if there is a broadband router in the same room as the laptop. When I try to connect to a wireless network, the computer does not find.

You have turned on WiFi?  Have you checked Device Manager to see if your wireless network card has a driver?  The different procedure for Urning edited that WiFi on East and model, so you for each brand will have to read your user guide - I promise he won't give you the leprosy!  :-)  To check the driver, click Start and right click on computer, then click Properties.  Click on Device Manager and look for the entry that says that the network cards.  Click the arrow to the left and look to see if
