Computer laptop Windows 7 can not find wireless network connections

My Samsung RV510's laptop had windows 7 on front and without wire worked but recently my hard drive for this laptop broke and I had to get a new HARD drive. Now I have a new one that I installed windows 7 on it and now it cannot find wireless network connections even if there is a broadband router in the same room as the laptop. When I try to connect to a wireless network, the computer does not find.

You have turned on WiFi?  Have you checked Device Manager to see if your wireless network card has a driver?  The different procedure for Urning edited that WiFi on East and model, so you for each brand will have to read your user guide - I promise he won't give you the leprosy!  :-)  To check the driver, click Start and right click on computer, then click Properties.  Click on Device Manager and look for the entry that says that the network cards.  Click the arrow to the left and look to see if

There is a! or? next to him.  If so, you must download the driver appropriate from your manufacturer.

Good luck.

My laptop can not find wireless connections, that it works fine when I use an Ethernet cable.

It works on 64-bit windows and has a intel wifi link 1000 series

The most likely reason is that the wireless card is turned off or disabled.  Most laptops have this feature in order to save battery power if the wifi is not necessary.  Depending on your laptop, it is a physical switch or a combination of the Fn key and one of the F keys.  See your User Guide for more information.

You can also check the Device Manager (click the ORB start and type Device Manager and then press the Enter key).  Expand the "Network adapters" section by clicking on the arrow to the left and then double-click the entry for the Intel Wifi Link.  Check 'Device status' in the 'General tab '.

Hi guys I hope that someone can help me, I walked trough the forums but none of the above helped me. I also do not really understand some of them. But that's what happened. I went in Sync Center, I have trid addition in manual, I tried to search for a wifi switch (I don't think I have a) I tried to restart the pc and the internet, I tried the system restore, I don't really know what else to do. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kate,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that Windows 7 can't find the network and I appreciate the efforts made to try the patches. Let me ask you;

    • Restoring the system led?
    • What exactly happens when you try to connect to the Wi - Fi?

This could be due to several reasons, including any third party software conflict. Try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network and check if the problem persists. If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

Step 1: Start the computer using safe mode with networking

Safe mode with networking is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. Safe Mode with networking appears in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you are using. You can use the internet connection in this mode.

Please refer to: , start your computer in safe mode

Step 2: Perform a clean boot in order to avoid any conflict of third party software.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

Method 2: Update the network adapter

Step 1: Update the driver through Device Manager

    a. click Start , type Device Manager and click on it

    b. expand network adapters

    c. make a right click driver, and then click Update driver software

Step 2: Install the Windows updates pending

    To check the updates:

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click check for updates, and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer.

    3. If you see a message telling you that important updates are available, or you say to look at the important updates, click the message to view and select the updates to install.

    4. In the list, click the important updates for more information. Select the check boxes for the updates that you want to install and then click OK.

    5. Click install updates.

Read and accept the terms of the license and then click Finish if the update requires it. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Step 3: Visit the computer manufacturer's support Web site and install the latest network for Windows 8 for the same model of device drivers.

Asked this question in the Windows 7 forum also because the problem was between windows 7 and Vista.

    Hello

If it has started, you can try a system restore - an update "might" have caused the problem.

    1. try a system restore back to a point before that happened. And immediately thereafter enter
Control Panel - Windows updates - top left settings and set it to download and informs you instead
Automatic. Leave it until you are sure that everything is OK and then you can add them one at a time
to troubleshoot BUT click right on and HIDE all the driver updates. Also stop at day of drivers like below
and let this value - manually search for drivers when you think you need. (See how and why to)
    stop day of drivers below.)

How to make a Vista system restore
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-System-Restore-how.html

To uninstall an update if you determine that there are problems - Panel - updated Windows - down left-
    Updates installed - uninstall

I had completely forgotten the system restore!  While looking into the system restore, I found that when I moved into my new House and has cable Internet installed, the cable technology installed a program of comcast on my computer.  This caused me to not be able to connect with other computers.  After rolling back to install it before it works!   Thank you.

  • Computer can not find wireless networks

    Hello

Whenever I restart my computer I have to open the part of the CPU and re services - enable Automatic Configuration Wireless for my computer to recognize networks wireless in the region. After that I then have to go to the Advanced Options in the wireless network connection properties, and then click the "use Windows to configure my wireless network. Then at that time, I can connect to my wireless router. I know that this is not normal on XP, because I've used it before, but before that I took off my computer Vista and installed XP, I had none of these problems.
    Thanks in advance

Have you installed the correct WIndows XP driver for your device without wire against the manufacturer (and their software that can replace software config wireless XP.)

  • Updated to Windows 8... now can not find wireless network

I've updated from windows vista to windows 8. Everything went well, but now the computer can not find wifi connection while it worked before the upgrade. Any ideas what's past? Or what I can do to find l ' internet and connect?

    Thank you.

This 'upgrade' is really not much more than a NEW installation of the operating system.

Did you visit the manufacturer's web page a computer for your computer model - more precisely their downloads and drivers for your system model - the article and enter all drivers of Windows 8/8.1 available to them for your if everything goes well supported by said manufacturer under Windows 8/8.1 computer system?  (This is a manual process.  Microsoft/Windows doesn't make or can't stand most (if any) of the hardware components inside your computer.  You must obtain and install these drivers yourself.

  • Computer laptop Windows 8 can not reset/refresh or update to 8.1

So 4-5 months ago, I got a new laptop with Windows 8, and everything was working properly until I had a nasty virus that locked my screen after connection, I managed to get rid of the virus, but I think in the process of my anti-virus deleted some system files.

Since then, the Windows Security Center Service has been disabled, and if I click on turn on I get a screen pop up saying "you cannot start the Windows Security Center service."
It was a little disturbing, but I don't give much thought but recently I wanted to move to 8.1 and it doesn't give me the error 'your Windows 8.1 installation could not be completed', after trying again 2 times I went to check if I could update and see if it works, it has not, after that I tried to reinstall , but which does not work either...
I want to do a reinstall, recover all the original windows files and keep current partitions, I saved that I need and I'm pretty much ready, my question is how do?

4 if you decide that the installation program to create USB flash media player, or save the ISO file. If you choose the ISO, the ISO file is saved on your PC and you will be able to burn to DVD.

Note: When you reinstall the operating system, select the partition on which the operating system is currently installed. No format/select all other partitions that can erase data on them.

Your computer came preinstalled with Windows 8, you can also contact the manufacturer and verify that they can help you perform Update or reset.

Download driver Toshiba WLan portal should functions since I managed to download the driver of the page package.

  • My computer can't find wireless networks.

My computer can't find wireless networks. When I search for them I can answer "wireless networks service is neither the race" (the Swedish free translation).

I have Windows Vista and I'll try to find my new wireless network working om my laptop and my iPad.

    Hello

    (1) did you check the State of the wireless autoconfiguration WLAN service in the services window?
    2. do you have any security software installed on the computer?
    3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1:

We will first try to manually start the wireless service, i.e. the WLAN AutoConfig service. To do this, connect to the computer as an administrator.
    1. Click Start, type services.msc and press to enter.
    2. Locate the autoconfiguration WLAN service, double-click to open its properties window.
    3. on the general tab, change the startup type to automatic and click on the Start button.
    4. click on apply, then ok.

Try to connect to the wireless connection and check the result.

    Method 2:
If the service still does not start, run the System File Checker tool to scan the computer for the corrupt system files and automatically correct. To run System File Checker analysis, try the steps mentioned in this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

  • Windows search can not find my files

Even if I indexed all folders on my computer Windows Search can not find something of my music, my pictures, and my videos folders. I checked if they are indexed and they are. I tried rebuilding the index, but it did not help. Does anyone know what may be the problem?

Problem solved. One of my programs has changed the use of the search bar for "do not search" menu properties taskbar and start, I have no idea why.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

I struggled with the same problem for a few hours. Finally, I discovered that:

If you are looking for a word in a file name, then you must start the search string with an asterisk (wildcard character), in the opposite case, Windows will detect nothing. For example, if you are looking for "cyberdyne" in a file name, then you must look for the two "cyberdyne" and "* cyberdyne.

If the word you are looking for is at the beginning of the name of the file, or if it is preceded by a dash or a dot, then Windows Explorer is the file without the asterisk.

Any way to get Windows 7 to find 'xp style' folders on the fly without all these stories of cataloguing which causes has other "cannot find' bugs even when

Actually found a solution so for all those who use the Googledrive folder on Windows - you can cut search indexing (uses of data which is not updated on the records of Gdrive) causing Win 7 search "on-the-fly" = a little more slow but even faster that I can read names of 17000 files

Just open your main Gdrive/Windows folder and choose search & Union Options / folders:

    Always search file names... CHECK

    Index of use which... CHECK
