  • What is the best? Cleaning disc of Windows or CCleaner

I would like to clean my operating system on a regular basis, to remove entirely "removed" files, which is in the bin, Internet research, etc. I've used Windows' disc and CCleaner, and CCleaner cleaning always seems to take much more time, to follow a process on Windows Disk Cleanup that can take 5 minutes, more than an hour about CCleaner! Is this because CCleaner is much deeper? It seems to be something called "passes", which I don't see on disk cleanup.

I understand it is a Microsoft Web site, and therefore the loyalty may require says nothing bad about Windows compared to CCleaner disk cleanup, but I would like a straight answer.

    Thank you

  • Impossible to turn off the lights after installed W7 Qosmio F50-113

    Hello

I had some problems with my computer for some time; or, since I installed windows 7 x 64 (bought in an ordinary shop).

My problem is that the subject says.
I can not turn lights which is really annoying, all other touchbutton works correctly, but this one.

I've been Googling around since months, and finally, I decided to post on this forum.

    Bravo Morgan Thowsen (swe)

Edit: I installed the package of w7 and flashed my bios for more later

    Hello

Normally, for all the buttons of enlightenment, you need Toshiba Value Package added. It contains the driver for the lighting and if you have installed this tool correctly, it should be possible to disable the new lighting. You can download it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

In your case, I would also try cleaning the registry of Windows using CCleaner. Which is a nice freeware tool that can help you too.

  • NB200-12N - FN keys do not work

    Hello
I recently bought a Toshiba NB200-12N with windows 7 starter edition. Then, I upgraded the operating system to 7 Professional. Since then, flash cards have stopped working with the function key. I've done everything I can think et al. proposed that he used to always work.
I found the settings and the value to use with the mouse - what works now, but the Fn key doesn't seem to work. It does however work with the num lock and scroll lock keys.
I updated the BIOS, uninstalled and reinstalled flash card utility and value pack, downloaded the last of the toshiba site and still no joy.

Can anyone help with this. Its very frustrating and help would be very appreciated.
    Thank you.
    W.

    Hello

I doubt that reinstall Flash Cards Support Utility and value added package couldn t help you. I had the same problem and after reinstallation of these two tools, it started working again.

First, you must remove value-added Package and Flash Cards Support utility. After that, restart your computer and clean Windows with CCleaner. It is a freeware tool that allows you to clean the registry and delete the key from there. After that do a reboot again and now install package of added value, then Flash Cards Support utility. A restart more and your FN keys should start working again. :)

Laptops were Vista but have been downgraded to XP - all drivers installed e.t.c.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi Bin_Lurchin,

After you uninstall a Toshiba DVD player, have you tried to clean your windows using CCleaner? Which is a nice tool that removes old keys registry and other unnecessary stuff.

Satellite A300 easy (key) does not...
I have recently upgraded my Vista SP1 to SP2 (do not know if this is the problem, but I'm pretty sure that's not)

As a first step that the hard drive has been changed because they said, it is the problem.

Now, I need the NB for work or school.
It's so slow that he needs about 5 minutes to start.
I checked the hard drive and the RAM with a special test program an everything is OK.

My friend told me, I should look on a chipset-trials-of program on the toshiba site. I can't find someone.

Maybe someone in this forum knows about this problem.

Thank you much for the help!

    Hello

You are currently using Windows XP or other OS?

I think it's just a software problem and should apply to performance tweaks to make Windows faster.
First, you must remove all unnecessary software, such as trial versions or more. Check-online Add/Remove programs from the control panel.
After that, clean the registry of Windows using CCleaner.
In addition, turn off all programs that you start n t need in msconfig (start-run-msconfig online online).
Last but not least to defragment your HARD drive.

Here in the forum, there are some very interesting discussions on how to make Windows faster. If you use the forum search to find the discussions he s really useful!

  • System error memory dump files

Is it safe to delete system error memory dump files after you run a cleaning disc?  Also what are system error memory dump files?

    Hi Cookie5354,

Basically, error, say a blue screen of death (BSOD) Windows gathers all available information stored in memory at the time of the incident and that she "pours" in a file. The file can then be used by a support technician to determine what could perhaps have the error in the first place. Sometimes, when an error occurs on Windows will ask you if it can information additional NMCS to Microsoft. If you press the Yes button on the request message that appears, then Windows will download the dump to Microsoft Server files.

Dump files are useful "but" they have the bad habit of taking a lot of space, so it is beneficial remove files to recover the space they occupy. Personally, I use a freeware thrid party application called CCleaner (www.piriform.com) If you use this and look at the bottom of the left side of the window of CCleaner, you will see a list of options what it removes. "Remove Windows error reports" is not checked by default, but I it check every few weeks or so, so that it clears the resports old error that are no longer needed.

So, in answer to your question, yes they can be deleted.

  • Help, please? Computer suspicious attitude...

About a week or two there is first of all, I noticed something off on my computer - which is a laptop. Sony VAIO.  Uh, he started with IE not wanting to load some pages for me until I updated/restarted 4 or 5 times.  Then the computer started to run slowly, freeze a bit.  I ran my antivirus program (AVG), cleaning of Windows, Windows Defender, CCleaner, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware SE, ran my disk defragmentation and he had even to check the drive for errors.  It seemed at first to have helped but it na not his worst got a little.  Some of my programs when I click them act as if they are not already installed.  Talked to a friend earlier today and he said that I needed to check the Task Manager and the services tab and stop whatever it is I do not have to run, well I went to the do but idk if half of the substance must remain on or if it can be cut.  I don't know if there are programs on my computer, I do not, I can safely that would contribute to the question remove.  Just to see the names of the programs doesn't really tell me personally if it's an important program or not.  I can give you as much information and hope it helps:

On my down task manager, it says I have 84 processes running.  It is said that my CPU usage is currently 4%. And he also said I have the physical memory of 52%.  If there is any other information I can give to help someone help me to solve my problem I will gladly make as well.  And if you have any suggestions on what I can please help because I do not want to end up with a computer has crashed. Thank you.

PS: I once had a blue error screen come but it went so fast, I was unable to see what he says before it restarts Windows idk what the error was. Also when my computer would be after a while out of Windows journal is not used it now after a few minutes the screen goes black.  IDK what that means.  And she also started to ask permission for EACH program, I tried to open - he never done this before - a friend had cut me a framework that seems to have removed the part even though idk if it was a good thing or not, but that what he was doing.

  • Speech recognition - recognition language is not language User Interface problem

I want to get Windows 7 speech recognition to work with British English, but I get an error after the training, that the language of the speech recognition is does not match the language of the user interface. I got the thing defined in the locale UK and speech recognition in British English. Several people have suggested:

    • Change regional settings, restart, change back again, reboot. Does not...
    • Turning off the box that says look at my documents. Does not solve.
    • make a Windows 7 reinstall. Can't do like no Windows 7 no install disc came with the PC.

Can someone help me solve this problem? Where is the language of the User Interface set? Would - this something to do with Office 2010?

There is anecdotal evidence that the use of like CCleaner registry cleaners can cause this problem.

Speech recognition could not start because the configuration of the language is not supported. The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface.

Have you contacted the manufacturer of your machine to see what the repair and the machine has recovery options?  Maybe he has a hidden recovery that is quite common nowadays for the OEM partition?  This should be mentioned in the manual or on their Web site.

  • My cursor jumps around while I'm typing

This is probably the third time in two years I tried to get help for this problem.  I am currently using a Dell Inspiron, which has nothing to do with it, but I use Windows 7 probably has a lot to do with it.
As I type, the cursor flies over everything about the place.  I am a touch typist and don't like to have to watch the screen while typing, but this problem has deteriorated to such a State that I can barely get through two sentences without having to stop and fix something.  This is intolerable and I'm THIS CLOSE to buying a Mac.
This isn't because of me accidentally brushing my hand on the Tablet, this isn't because of any parameter pointer being on or off, is NOT because of all the other things that were provided as responses during the last months of 2 dozen.  I need a solution to this.  This is a bug of Microsoft.  Someone please admit it, find it and fix it?  Fortunately, I need a new computer.  If I don't get a fix for this, I have not buy another PC.
While typing this I had to stop three times to close a window of thugs who opens or back up and clear some mess or just to find the elusive slider.  Honestly.  I can't take it anymore.
