Windows 7 constantly hanging on Atipcie.sys

Hello

I did a barebones system, and I have a MSI 880GM-E43 with ATI HD 4250 integrated graphics.
Well im constantly getting locking of the screen with a red line through it. When I load in SafeMode it get down Atipcie.sys file then performs a restart loop.
I put a cd of lynux msi sent in the box and it will load and sometimes will work perfectly on it. Once I got back in the race, I'll be back in windows and I did an update of the complete graphics driver. I've updated Catylst and I downloaded the update 5 which updates anything outdated, Mo, BIOS, graphics of Msi.
Even with all updated for updates more recent im always getting screen freeze and when I go to safe mode it hangs at the top on the same Atipcie.sys
I get 0 x 0000007 blue screen when I run repair.
did a windows memory diagnostic and everything came back OK.
im a loser
Win 7 64 bit
AMD Phenom 6core
12g G skill ramm
hard drives 2 x 1 t
Ati Radeon Hd 4250 integrated graphics card
audio Realtek on-board

Unfortunately, I tried almost all the options on this list. Good news is that I finally solved the problem. Fortunately, I have a friend who let me borrow a lynx system that runs next to the RAM only could change my AtiPcie.sys to AtiPcie.sys.old and then restarted and threw my recovery disk in and it fixed the problem. I don't know if I did something wrong on the update my driver, but I followed all the directions that amd/ati say as far as uninstalling the driver and installing the driver, but for some reason any this AtiPcie.sys file gives me problems. When I checked the date on the file that it is back in 2006, the new file is now 2009 and modified in 2011. I hope that if someone ever has this problem, that little bit will help.

Original title: installation of new Windows 7 hangs at disk.sys

We have conducted our mail, ftp and video servers on XP because we expected a software upgrade for our video server, so that we can install Windows 7. The MB is a Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Revision 1.0. Last week, I took the server down to do the installation of Windows 7 Enterprise. Using the ISO downloaded from our Volume Licensing account I burned onto a dvd it and booted from it.

The system should start and begin installing Windows. The files would load and the screen change to . Then nothing. I fought with him for two days and I tried a thousand (Finally, much) "solutions, I found online, but nothing has worked.

I cloned the drive that contains the system partition - formatted system partition (to record the logical drives on the other partitions) - and tried to install on the empty system partition. Go to research on the web it is clear that it is not yet near a problem isolated - I found pages and pages of the report and a variety of approaches to fix - it would take a lifetime to try them all. • Vista hangs at crcdisk.sys

    Hello

Another machine with a typical problem. My laptop Sony VGN-SZ290 primer not. When I do a boot to the top in safe mode, it hangs at crcdisk.sys. None of the other startup options not work either. I could do a memory scan and it came back clean. When it does not start, I have two options: 1) start Windows normally and repair Windows Run) 2. Neither one of those who will do anything, all I get is a white screen. In addition, like many people, I don't have a recovery disk. You would think that after paying $1,500, Sony could afford to spring for a $1 plastic coin, oh well. From what I see online, this is a common problem. Unfortuantely none of these solutions worked for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you will still be able to use your product key.

Yes, sony should be able to get a replacement hard drive. It would be covered by any warranty.

    Thank you!

  • XP hangs at mup.sys on startup

MY DESKTOP FREEZES AT MUP. SYS ON STARTUP.  ANY IDEAS ON WHAT IS THE CAUSE?

I think what AreilMT is getting in the light of the HARD drive blinks is the following:

If you have a chkdsk scheduled to run at the next reboot (by responding affirmatively to the question, if you choose to run a chkdsk at the next restart), or if XP finds that any volume on your system that has been marked 'dirty', chkdsk will run when you restart.

If you start in Mode without failure and chkdsk begins to run, the last thing you will see on the screen is mup.sys having been loaded... then the chkdsk will run in full.  Your system seems to be stuck.

If the system appears to be hung on mup.sys and the HARD drive light flashes, it could be that the chkdsk command does what it is supposed to do or what you told it to do - check the volumes for consistency.  If this is the case and the HARD drive light flashes, you have to wait outside and which could take many, many hours depending on the size of your drive HARD, how many things about him and what chkdsk is to do.  Let it sit overnight if you must, but be patient.

If this is NOT the case, then I suggest you power down, unplug everything except the keyboard and see if you can boot mode safe with only a keyboard attached.  If you have a PS/2 keyboard to use, I would use that instead of a USB keyboard.  A USB device or faulty driver can sometimes appear to hang on mup.sys to the system.

It is also important to understand that the problem is not with mup.sys (it has already loaded) - it's what comes after mup.sys that could be the problem (if it is not running chkdsk).

This is why there is zero logic when people see this scenario and begin to try to figure out how to replace mup.sys - that is not the problem, since it has already loaded.

The next thing to load that sometimes causes problems is often the drivers keyboard and mouse - especially USB keyboards and mouse devices (mouse), therefore, you must unplug everything - especially USB devices.  You only need a keyboard plugged to press F8 to display the Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode and a PS/2 keyboard must be used if you can get your hands on one.

  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode

The title pretty much everything said.

The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.

The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.

    Hi TKav,

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

I suggest that you check to see if the problem persists in safe mode.

Note: Display in safe mode wouldn't be good display drivers are disabled.

Start your computer in safe mode

Restart the computer to return to normal mode

I would also say that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista installation CD.

  • Problem at startup with Vista - hang at crcdisk.sys - green bar still there

    Hello

I have a big problem and I'm not able to find a problem.

My laptop (Lifebook, Fujitsu A6200) always hang at startup when the green bar with the windows logo is moving (I restarted after 3 hours).

When I starts in Mode safe, it hangs on CRCDISK. SYS. I left it run for 2 hours and it restarted somewhere in this period.

I tried the Drivers and applications of restore disc that came with my laptop and it never found problems. I ran the startup of more than 8 hours repair and the balance sheet was not finished.

I plugged my hard drive on another PC so I can access my data correctly, it is not a hard drive problem.

I have not installed any application or any new hardware in the weeks before the problem appeared with the exception of the automatic updates of Windows. I don't think that the problem is a hardware problem.

If possible, I don't want to reinstall windows.

    Thanks for your help!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: Use system recovery tools to fix the problem, to access system recovery tools. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to access the System Recovery Options menu?

    See also the link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-system-repairs-from-the-Windows-recovery-environment-from-Windows-Vista-inside-out

    (a) System Restore: put the computer to an earlier point in time when the computer was working fine.

    (b) order to access Windows Recovery: run the disk check to repair bad sectors on the hard disk.

At the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

Now, type chkdsk /r , and then press ENTER.

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

    (c) run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool

  • Laptop hangs at Classpnp.sys file.

So I installed Windows 7 the other night on my laptop.  I did the driver updates and installed Norton.  Also, I installed Office 2007.  Then I stopped it for the night.  The next day, I turned it back to install more than a few things.  A friend recommended that I have installed Ad-Aware, so I did and it ran.  I used it on some of my machines before without any problem.  I installed a couple more programs (SANDRA & CPU - ID), and then I stopped it for the night.  He got away.  I don't think anything, and after about 20 minutes, I did the strength.  I started up the next day and now it hangs at the windows startup screen.  I have tried the following to all the same results:

-Repair System - hangs at the screen repair
-Start normally - hangs at the windows startup screen
-Start in safe mode - crashes the classpnp.sys file
-Start in SafeMode with command prompt - crashes the classpnp.sys file
-start in SafeMode with network - crashes the classpnp.sys file

I even tried to put in the windows 7 disc to do a re-install and it hangs at the windows startup screen.

It seems that no matter what I try I lift the block to the windows splash screen.

    Someone help please!

So the other night, with that I tried a few more things all the same results.  Here is what I tried:

-J' bought a second GB of ram, so I tried exchanging a stick, and then another - same results.
-J' have bought a box hard drive, removed the formatted hard drive with another computer, ensured that I could save things he re-installed hard drive, booted from the CD - same results.
-J' I bought a new hard drive, installed, booted from the CD - same results.
-Replace the old hard drive with the 2 sticks of RAM - same results.

After reviewing a number of things, I found that when Windows gets to "Starting Windows" screen, it checks your hardware to make sure that things are OK.  Well, my hard disk, RAM, CD player and video card are OK (I get all the right stuff video), so there are only a few things left, and one is the motherboard.  So, I think that there is a hardware problem which does not Win7 load completely.
