Windows 7 Home Edition Premium will not be stopped
I have a Samsung R510 laptop running a processor Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of ram. I installed Windows 7 Home Premium and now find that the laptop will not be stopped. Sometimes the "Disconnect" message and nothing else happens and sometimes the "Shutting Down" message is displayed and again, nothing else happens. I pressed the power button to turn off the machine. It was a clean install and at the present time, there is no other software installed yet. Please help for the moment I think re - install Vista and deduct £70 has passed on 7

Windows 7 Home Edition Premium does not start after the upgrade to the new motherboard
A year ago, I bought a Compaq PC with a preinstalled version of Windows Vista installed. Then, I contacted HP and bought a Premium upgrade Windows 7 and starting to upgrade to Windows 7 family. Now, I came to a point where I wanted to upgrade my PC and I bought a card mother Gigabyte and a processor for the new socket. I was planning on using the same hard drive, but I found that I can not boot into Windows 7 more. The operating system is to see what he thinks, it's a brand new computer?
Have I not the license right credentials to run Windows 7 on this computer 'new '? The old motherboard is of no use to me, and the operating system only and will only ever be used on a hard drive. If it is all ok - how can I get my Windows installation to work, keeping in mind that I only have a Windows 7 upgrade disk?
Best regards, jazznaz
Yes, it's a brand new computer, but you should be able to use, the license would be out of respect and you would just set it using a key of Windows 7 Edition Home Premium full version.
Because you used the Windows Vista OEM license as a basis for the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade qualification, this license is more in use since you changed the motherboard. This means you need to get a full license.

Hello... I have a HP G60 Notebook PC with windows 7 home premium (original)
I was with my computer laptop to surf the net when suddenly he stopped and when I tried to start again... .the sdcreen came, and then a small dialog box pops up saying "Windows cannot complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again.
I stopped and replace the battery, tried some other stuff, but it did not work... Help, please!
Go ahead and try the following steps for me.
When you are prompted with error cannot complete installation:
Press SHIFT + F10 to bring up the command prompt.
type in MMC
Click file-> add/remove snap... (Or CTRL + M)
Select Computer Management (Double click and finish on the Local computer)
Click OK
Double-click (Local) computer management-> tools in system-> local users and groups-> users-> Double click on administrator-> uncheck account is disabled-> OK
Now make a click Administrator-> set-> Set Password right a decent password to start.
Now restart. Should be good to go.
If this does not work, try next step:
SHIFT + F10 to bring up the command prompt.
type: CD C:\windows\system32\oobe
type msoobe /a
Come in
Make a generic account and password. hit finish (if it asks for a product key and you have one, enter it now. If OEM/no key required, just finish). The date/time value. Finishing.
Turn it back on.
Should be good to go.
If this is not the case, let me know what happens.

Windows 7 Home Edition premium has an "XP" Mode or "Vista Mode"?
Some games more former won't install or play because of problems with Windows 7 compatibility. Windows 7 Home Edition premium has an 'XP mode' or 'Mode Vista' that can be lit to accommodate for this?
I am running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit, and the answer is 'no '. Don't waste your time download XP mode, 'Virtual PC' and an SP1 update, because after two hours of downloading, installation, restart and upgrade, all you will get exercise is less space on your hard drive and a pop-up when you start "XP Mode" that says "XP Mode cannot be set up - XP Mode is not available for this mode of Windows»
Do not be misled by the fact that download 500 MB 'XP Mode' allows you to check that you are running Windows 7 Home Edition to select the right version to download. Apparently today, 500 MB is what it takes to generate a boring suggesting popup that you are upgrading. I guess that the good folks at the figure of Microsoft that once that you have 'invested' two hours of your time, the additional amount of $100 or whatever they charge will seem not so bad.

I have a Windows XP Home Edition, which does not list if it's 32-bit or 64-bit
I have an OEM Windows XP Home Edition, which does not list if it's 32-bit or 64-bit. How do I know what
To check if your XP operating system is 64-bit, you only have to right click on "My computer" and select 'Properties' to display 'system properties '. If your XP operating system is XP Professional 64-bit, 64-bit will be indicated in the information displayed in the general tab. However, XP 32 bit operating systems won't have 32-bit, there is no information about this particular point at all. The XP Home Edition will be 32-bit, but this information does not appear. XP Professional, however, can be either 32-bit or 64-bit. If it is 64-bit, it will be indicated on the general tab of the system properties. However, if it is XP Professional 32-bit, nothing is there to indicate that the operating system is 32-bit.
Vista and Windows 7, unlike XP, OS will indicate if they are 32-bit or 64-bit.

If you buy a Spanish copy, Yes. If you buy an English dub, no.
You need ultimate, not Home Premium, change language. And even
Then, you must download the language you want.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

I installed Windows XP Home Edition. Can not find the wireless network drive
I installed Windows XP Home Edition on my spare PC. Now I have wireless network card in the computer and problems to find the drivers for it, and I don't know what brand it is, so I know it's kind of makes it harder too. Then I also have to start the computer, but if I press F1, the computer starts well
I was just wondering how can I get rid of this?
Disable all devices that can connect to your router (wired or wireless)...
- PCs
- Laptops
- Tablets
- Smartphones
- Smart TV
- Printers
- Networked storage
- Another thing that I have not mentioned above!
Put on your router and wait for the normal light distribution. Then turn on all devices.
I hope that your ip address conflict went away. Generally ip conflicts can happen when the router is running again without doing the same with all devices later.
If you have even an ip address conflict, it is possible that you forgot something above or can someone use your router without your knowledge.
Your router's wireless network is secure? Ideally with WPA2 encryption?

Old license Windows XP Home Edition (HP) is not valid
Hi guys,.
I recently had to format & reinstall the pc of my father, who has a sticker of xp of windows with the license on this subject.
The sticker says "Windows XP Home Edition HP", but when I try to install WinXP with this license, he said that the license is not valid.
I used the WinXP it SP3 CD, because I can't find the original CD of Windows XP without Service Pack anywhere,.
is this the problem or can I use an old XP license it to install XP SP3 it?
If this isn't the problem, could someone help me know what is the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
What is the make and model of this PC?
It is important that the media matches the license. So, if the license is an OEM version of XP Home, only an OEM XP Home CD work. A XP Home retail CD are bad media.
Assuming that you have the correct CD, make sure you enter all characters correctly. Make sure that you enter not an 8 for a and B, for example.

I tried to download microsoft virtual pc for my computer. On the site of microsoft/windows, I was informed that I am not eligible download virtual pc 2007 because I only run a windows 7 Home premium edition, which is available for professional users of windows 7 and of better quality.
Are there alternatives to this virtual pc that I am eligible to download and use without a hitch?
Windows Virtual PC
Download Windows XP Mode
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/Download.aspxWindows XP Mode (Windows 7 only, but not one of the Home versions) "you are not eligible to download Windows XP Mode. You must have Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or full to run Windows XP Mode." If you have an old XP CD (or other older Windows CD) available you can simply download the Virtual Machine and spend the XP Mode download.
This warranty covers the gambit set of VMS in the 'Home' versions if you want to have a look. Of course you will need a licensed copy of XP to install and run in any of them (except XP Mode).
