Hi Degauz,

If you have Skype installed, uninstall it to see if the problem resolves.

Alternatively, you can perform a clean boot to see if a startup program is at the origin of the conflict:

  • 64-bit Windows 7 mouse freezes / stuttering several times per minute, when the network activity is high

    Hi all
I recently bought a new computer Packard Bell with a Windows 7 OEM who have a problem with the mouse and keyboard. I've been in contact with the manufacturer, but they are also confused that I have on this issue. After looking in many discussions about the problems of the mouse in windows 7, I found that there are many who have this problem but there is no consistency in the HW configuration, i.e. it seems more a problem with the OS.
I really like the machine and Windows 7, but I have a nagging issue with frequent 1-2 second freeze/stuttering of the mouse during the 'high' network activity (e.g. streaming a YouTube video). During my research, I met at least 4 people who who call network activity affect the behavior of the mouse.
Sometimes the keyboard or the mouse becomes completely insensitive and the system must be restarted. However, on these occasions, the rest of the system is not affected - for example Skype and other programs to continue to operate without glitch or lag.
To try to solve this problem, I did the following (with no effect on the problem):
-Updated all the drivers to the latest.
-J' tried different version of the mouse drivers (most recent running now).
-Tried different versions of the network driver (latest running now).
-Change keyboard and mouse to the PS2 came with the computer.
-Set the system to 'high performance '.
    -Changed for USB mouse
-J' tried various Bios settings 'mode of power/suspend' (proposed in solution in another thread)
One thing that has had a strange effect on the problem was:
-Seen the PS2 and USB mouse is touching one when the other freezes / stuttering will immediately resolve stuttering gel.
    I have studied/noted:
-There has never been a 'error box"popping up in Windows when this happens.
-In the event viewer I see warnings from "i8042prt" regarding (remember, thie is translated from Swedish :) 'The device sent an incorrect response, once the keyboard has been reset' (this is what I found, if you need more information please ask but provide what to look for and where)
My system has the following specifications:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    Versions: 6.1.7600 build 7600
    Manufacturer: Packard Bell
    Computer model: ipower G3720
    Computer type: PC x 64
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 to 2.80 GHz, Mhz, 4 core, 8 logical processors 2801
Date and - version of BIOS American Megatrends Inc. P01 - B1-2010-03-23
    Version SMBIOS 2.6
HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) Version = "6.1.7600.16385".
GB of physical memory (RAM) 6.00
In addition to the original equipment, I also installed a network card PCIe wireless D - Link DWA - 556 Xtreme N PCIe Desktop Adapter (using the latest drivers for windows 7 d-link)

    Hi Chris,

I might have a happy ending to this topic :)
I returned my old piece of system got another, it worked fine at first, but then the mouse began to stutter once again.

The system had only a few programs installed so I started to uninstall it to see if it changed anything.
    A program - Skype.

I never suspected that my friends use Windows 7 and Skype without any problem, although they could not use quadcore and 64-bit version.

My system is without stutters and glitches for a week, so I'm pretty sure that was the problem.
That Skype is a very wide spread of IM, it could apply to other institutions.

    Thanks for your help!

  • 64-bit Windows 7 mouse freezes / stuttering several times per minute

Found this post online by Googling my problem...

I recently bought a beautiful Alienware gaming platform, running on Windows 7 64 bit. Also, I experienced problems with my mouse, as a first step, I took no notice, but after a few months, start/stop stuttering hiccupping became very annoying. In fact, never 5 to 10 minutes, my cursor will freeze for about half a second, 2 to 3 times in a row. This becomes especially noticeable when playing first person shooter.

At first I thought it might be a problem with the mouse acceleration, so I've done everything I can to solve the problem. I use RAT 7 of the Mad Catz Cyborg, so I downloaded the software and drivers more recent and even ran an application published by Mad Catz which clears the mouse acceleration, but still the problem persisted.

I tried everything...  I did all the updates of Windows at this point, my mouse/graphics card drivers are updated to the latest, I ran several scans for spyware, adware, viruses, registry, I tried 2 different mouse... and I always get these random hiccups freezes while browsing or playing games. I ran the DPC latency checker and there is clearly something affecting it (whenever there is a hiccup, the bar fly upward into the red zone), but I can't pinpoint the problem at all (went in the Device Manager, off and on almost every program, no change).

It's a shame, but this problem with the mouse, it rolls. Anyone have any useful suggestions?

    Come on Microsoft, he meets!

    Hurez,

Have you tried this mouse on another system? Also, have you tried the mouse in safe mode?

  • Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse stutters / freezes when accessing HDD

Sometimes when using my Windows 7 64 bit with all the latest updates of the mouse's freeze/stuttering during disk access.  It moves around the screen in the jumps.  Making it difficult to use.  I can use the keyboard very well in games like Warcraft.  But the mouse does not work well, until the player turns off.

Sometimes, it seems more for indexing of the drive.  Just after I delete the files or move some.  On my last update of Windows, it shows that I have no update to do rather than language.

Is there a way to fix this?

  • Windows 7 mouse from works not properly

I was in the Middle using my computer & my mousepad on the computer has stopped working. (this is not an external mouse pad but the internal buffer itself)  I have Windows 7, all other components, including the mouse on the key finger? works but the touchpad does not work.  Thanks in advance for your help. -Wendy

It is possible that some hardware components has failed.

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

The following can be difficult to do without a mouse (I don't know what 'mouse on finger key' means), but if you have a 'Windows logo' key on your keyboard, try the following:

    1. Press the Windows logo key.  This should open the start menu.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc (typing should appear in the search box) and press enter
    3. Press the TAB key.  This should highlight the name of your computer at the top of the Device Manager window.
    4. Use the down arrow key to navigate entries in Device Manager.
    5. Which, if any, references show a caution icon?
    6. If an entry has a warning icon, press Enter and report the text in 'State of the device.

You have an external mouse available?

  • The key macro for windows touch mouse explore

Hello. I'm a new user in OneNote and one of the features that I love is the copy - paste into OneNote.

To access this feature with the keyboard, the key combination is 'Windows key + s'.  I bought the Explorer touch mouse with the intention to reassign one of the buttons of the mouse to perform the 'Windows key + s' command.
There is the possibility to add a macro in the basic commands and there is the possibility to choose a special key (Windows key), but this does not work in the implementation of the macro. When I press the assigned button, the taskbar appears for a second or two and a letter 's' appears on which window is active, but I can't figure out how to get the "Windows key + s' feature.
    Ideas?

    Hi Roger,

You can change the shortcut to a macro, to so proceed as follows:

    a. open Microsoft Office word (changes will reflect on all Microsoft Office applications)

    b. click the Microsoft Office button, and then click Word Options.

    c. click Customize.

    d. side of keyboard shortcuts, click Customize.

    e. in the categories list, click Macros.

    f. in the list of Macros , click the macro that you want to change.

    g. in the field Press new shortcut key , type the key combination you want to choose.

    h. check the current keys box to make sure that you're not assign a key combination that you already use to perform a different task.

    i. in the list record in , click the option that matches where you want to run your macro.

Important: To allow your macro in all documents, do not forget to click Normal.dotm.

    j. click close.

  • Windows 7 mouse problem - my mouse has been lagging and skipping

My mouse has been trolling and jumping, it happens mainly when there is another process that is (microsoft word, sony vegas, adobe photoshop, youtube video, etc.) and sometimes when nothing is open she does it anyway. I tried to use different mouse (HP 2.4 ghz wireless mouse optical mobile and a logitech wireless optical mouse) and different usb ports. I tried to adjust its processes to high priority. I have updated drivers for my EAH4850 512 MB graphics card and my AMD Phenom quad core Black edition. I tried different surfaces with the same result, tried to change the sensitivity and resolution. updated my catalyst control center and I tried a little overclocking with AMD overdrive. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, and I never had this problem until last week.

  • Windows 8 mouse pointer disappeared

    Hello...

I use an old Toshiba laptop for 1 month, running Windows 8 (upgrade of Windows 7, which has been installed at the time of purchase)
So far, everything worked well, but today, the pointer of the mouse just froze everything in browsing the internet.
I restarted the laptop (by finally, after working on the keyboard shortcuts), and now the mouse pointer does not appear at all - I can only control things from the keyboard - which is very difficult.
When I turned off the laptop (the first time, with the pointer of the frozen), it updates installed, and when he returned he configured these updates - so maybe it's something to do with it?
    Please help - thanks!

Thanks for the answer is very simple! I've looked everywhere.

  • Windows 8 mouse jumps randomly to the upper left corner

This is getting very frustrating. Mouse jumps randomly from any window I'm working in the top left corner of the screen. Example just typing this, it climbs to the upper left and I have to keep clicking back.

It happens when the mouse/keyboard connected or not, tried to disable the touchpad.

I even did a clean boot, but problem is, so do not think that there is a software conflict. It makes use of the very difficult computer.

  • HP Pavilion HauppaugeWinTV HVR 1290 and Windows 7 - Audio stuttering problem

    Hi all

I have the WinTV HVR 1290 card installed in a new building.  Window7 Media Center does a great job, support the DVR functions.

I searched for the latest drivers that HP has on Windows7/64 Bit support.  The current problem is that the recovery of a sleep almost always ends with an Audio stuttering problem.  A reboot clears the stuttering.

HP probably has some drivers of Windows7 pre-release for sold third party hardware integrated into the Media Center PC.

    Any help would be appreciated.
