Windows 7 Premium with creation of dvd

I need the the least invasive way and to import my video files in dvd creation. Apparently, windows will accept all files but the quicktime which is what happening to my Kodak easyshare. It's really aggravating because my old computer would not accept anything BUT the .mov files and now the new computer (that I just bought) will accept anything BUT the .mov files.

If there's a patch I can download I'd appreciate being directed to it, or if microsoft has decided to offer a free Converter for the program, it has changed that would be appreciated also. I'm really frustrated to have bought a new computer with programs about this me is not good!

Thank you!

Well, no luck! I downloaded the AVS converter Format Factory, only to find out it watermarks videos unless you pay for activation. At this point, I don't want to pay for nothing, until I know it will work. And I guess I'm just not quite understand why the coversion is not a given in the program windows with all the different formats and different people using different! I also found one called Super, which is supposed to be a free software, however, once having downloaded and I tried to open it, I got an error message which led me to believe that the file may be damaged, so I deleted this program as well. I am now checking into the Quicktime Player to see if they offer a converter for their own records.

I can't believe with all the technology out there and innovative programs now registered on these new computers a person should have to hunt and find a way to use a fairly new camera with video options, not to mention having to pay more money to make it work. I did nothing, but read these days and it seems that there is a problem with almost all program out there when you try to convert the files... very, VERY discouraging. I hate to have to go and buy a brand new program for editing this work.

That being said, I appreciate the volunteers here who try to answer our questions... most of the time that I can find quick and simple solutions to my problems and which are nice for someone who isn't really all that in computer science!

Thank you!

  • Recovery of Windows Vista Premium with no installation CD

I had to reinstall completely portable my son after a number of virus caused his laptop Toshiba to failure, but the question I have is the fact that I don't have a installation CD any recovery or windows.

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • No upgrade option given when you try to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium with version complete DVD

I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7 on my Lenovo x 200 tablet which is currently under Vista 64-bit.  My first attempt was with a version of Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit which, once started let me choose the upgrade option but then I notified (obviously) that would work to upgrade Vista 64 bit to 32 bit 7.  Since I also have a DVD of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, I moved forward and put this disk to try to upgrade.  However, when I run the Setup it goes right to the choose what partition I want to put a new installation, do not allow me the upgrade option at all.  Why is this and how do I fix this if I can do an upgrade rather than a new complete installation then I won't lose all my programs and others and end up with a folder of big 'windows.old '?

Which edition of Windows Vista are you attempt upgrade from?

If they editions do not match, you will not be able to make a place in the upgrade:

When important changes to your computer, for example an upgrade, it is always recommended that you back up your system before installing a new version of Windows. In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on the edition and the architecture of Windows Vista, you have installed. If you are running a 32-bit version of Vista and upgrade to a 64-bit (Windows 7 edition) version, you'll have a pure make install, it is the opposite case.

If you are using Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium consumer editions, you can only upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. In addition, you can make downgrades, which means, if you are running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition now, you cannot downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform logical upgrades:

Windows Vista Home Basic > Windows 7 Home Basic, Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium > Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or ultimate edition

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Enterprise

Windows Vista Ultimate > Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have been regularly using the creation of Windows DVD for burning slide /videos. I had in the past burnt an a project with .jpg images in a collection of slides on a DVD + R disc. It plays perfectly on my drive Blueray. Recently, I tried to burn a backup copy of this project on a DVD + RW. However, he does not play on the computer, a standard disk drive or BD player. Players do not recognize the disc. I tried to erase the RW but it takes 15 to 20 minutes just to read the disc, the drive keeps light glisten constantly and says that the disc is erased but when I re - save the project, the result is the same as before.
I tried to reformat the drive. When I click with the right button on the drive and click on format it again takes forever and a training constant light flashing. The format window options are gray and do not respond to orders
Thanks for any idea as to what is happening and what I can do to fix the hang ups I get.

It is possible that the DVD + RW rewritable is the problem.
Some hardware is not fully compatible with them.

Personally, I did not have much success with DVD rewritable.
Verbatim DVD-R DVD have been reliable for me.

When I need a copy of a home made DVD I create an ISO
Image file... so I can quickly burn as many copies as I need
