Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. floppy drive problem.

When I plugged in the USB, it has been recognized very well.  I put in an old floppy and it read the pattern very well. I copied the file.  Inserted the following diskette and it showed me the same information as on the first disc.  It's as if the info is now stuck in the floppy drive.

  • Make a clone for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit bootable drive

Hello. I hope that somewhere in here can help me. I do computer training and have to learn with three different versions of the software which I support. I have legitimate copies of each version of the software and often need to Exchange back between the versions on a weekly and sometimes daily.

When I train on my MacBook Pro, it's an easy thing to do. I use a third-party utility called Super Duper to create discs external bootable to my operating system, the software that I support and my class files. The current version of the software still remains on my internal hard drive. But when I need to train others on two previous versions that I support, I have set the appropriate external drive and run my Mac laptop from the disk external bootable. Make the monthly software updates are easy; I just boot from every external hard drive, and then apply updates to the software on the external drive bootable appropriate.

On my Windows 7 laptop, he is currently nowhere as easy. I first create a backup of my hard drive with the current version of the software and upgrades. Can I use an external drive to completely replace my current installation with a full backup that contains the appropriate previous version of the software which I support. I have then to restart my system and start to apply the updates that have occurred since I last used the backup of the previous version. After teaching classes, I back up my system with the previous version of the installed software, restoring my external backup with the software current version I support to Windows 7 laptop configuration current-version.

It is also difficult to explain, as it should do quickly and correctly - especially when time is tight between my training sessions. I hope I explained my problem clearly in the previous paragraph.

The whole process takes a lot of time and no small amount of aggravation when time is tight between training sessions. I wish it were as easy for my Windows 7 training because it is when I train students from my Mac. I know how to change my boot order of the system to the first reading of my USB port. This is the easiest part. What I don't know how to do is create some external hard drives bootable that carry the previous versions of the software I have support on Windows 7 Professional or home edition Premium. Currently, I have two laptops that are running the 64-bit versions of these operating systems and would be happy to implement any solution at a reasonable price from Microsoft or a third-party provider that could help to make this process easier.

Anyone here have a solution they use and can recommend which would make patentable Windows 7 as easy it is to my Mac?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me.

Microsoft deliberately designed all the version of versions do not allow windows to boot from external hard drives more.  Drivers USB and Firewire seems to be loading until late in the Windows startup sequence.  He has also posted some 'hackers' succeeded 'twisted' the Windows image to boo of the USB / Firewire external hard drive.

Microsoft has designed a "method" of trying to "secure" their "rights" of their software and protect software "piracy". Product activation is 'very' depends on the motherboard "components" for this security.

Please note that there could be a few "external" hard disks that might work.  external eSATA, SCSI, and SAS hard drive "might" be successfully to Windows startup. The reason main is that the computer and Windows all consider them these types of hard disks as system "internal" hard drives.

  • EXTREME slowing windows 7 professional 64-bit response time, possibly problem driver network adapter? Help, please!

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed on a computer, I built

    Data sheet:
Processor Intel i5 750 (stock clocked & stock cooler)
    Card mother Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3P
    G. Skill Rip jaw DDR3 1333 RAM (standard timings)
Western Digital 640 GB SATA HD
Card EVGA 8800 GS SC Video
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card
    Powersupply Coairsair 650W
    Samsung SATA DVD writer

My problem is, after I started and had my computer running for a significant amount of time (30 minutes to an hour), I loose full internet connectivity and the response time for any action I'm trying of the preform is from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

This problem occurs almost every time my computer is started for a significant amount of time, and it's extremely annoying.

First Firefox, Google chrome, or internet Explorer stops receivers internet connectivity (because it is not sailing to any web page) but still related reports.

(during this time and on my computer don't report any anomaly, IE CPU utilization / ram uses / temperature are amounts all acceptable)

I usually try to close my browser (s) web, but its reports "not responding" and I cannot close or even end the process or the process tree, so it runs as a process. From there a program or a click I do I try to run either doesn't work or takes 30 seconds to 5 minutes to register if they register at all.

Programs I all ready have running continue to run, IE Vuze, WindowsMP, Zune software, openoffice. But once that I close them I can't reopen.

Any program I try to open starts a process in the Task Manager but it not to start a program or actually run, and I can't used to finish the tasks that do not work properly.

If I try to shut down windows, it takes a minute or so to begin to disconnect, then he sits on the "logging" off the screen until I use the power switch to kill the system.

I suspect that it may be a problem from my network card driver (Controller Realtek PCIe GBE Family, latest version downloaded directly from the Gigabyte website for my motherboard) because the question almost always starts when my internet stops working. However, this may be 2 combined numbers.

I had this problem and I thought it was because of an installation of bad windows 7 so I erased the hard drive and did a complete new installation, but the problem is back!

I changed my routers settings to give me a fixed IP address to dismiss questions here. All the other computers in my House have access the internet without interruption during my problems. And no other computer in my house has similar problems.

I reinstalled the network once drivers without success.

I would like to address the downturn extreme Windows 7 after half an hour or so if possible because I have other NICs lying there if the problem comes from the network card.

I'm pretty computer savvy and I've exhausted all my ideas, so any notice are useful! Thank you

OK, so I think that the slow issue is resolved now. I blame intel speedstep, while part of my problem is fixed.

    Internet connection problems still remain.

I ran my computer in safe mode with network for about 2 hours. When I booted in safe mode, everything was fine, internet connetion worked on download and upload at full power. I let it sit for an hour or two in safe mode and I came back and there is no internet again, as usual. All my browsers (internet explorer, my main browser firefox and chrome) refuse to function / load anything and their work will not end in the Task Manager. The device says it all works and it (network adapter) said I have a connection, but I am squatting me on my browsers or any other uses of the Internet. This test will run on a network interface card that I installed, with drivers. I did him wrong with shooting my motherboard cable network and its software driver port. This new card gives the same result, so I think now I know that this issue has nothing to do with my physical port or its drivers.

The only things I can think that it either now are either:
    my router
However, all the other computers in my house (3 of them, 1 win XP), 1 Win 7 64 bit pro, 1 Ubuntu and my Xbox 360 not having this problem and works perfectly

    or

Something inside windows 7 that control the browsers or manages connections,
I think it's most likely due to the fact that my browsers have problems in the Task Manager / they do not work properly

    All reviews are useful,

    Thank you!

  • With the help of Western WD50EZRX Digitial 5 to drive on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Hello

I bought this new Western Digital Green 5 to drive as a device of storage, but somehow, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on both my Dell Optiplex 990 (with Bios A19) and Dell Studio XPS 8100 (with Bios A05) can't see the ability beyond 561 GB (instead of 5 TB). I tried to just put it in the USB port, docking station and internally via ATA cable connection, but there is no change.

On my Dell Optiplex 990 I even tried to change the main drive of 1 G (it's a laboratory machine in order to clean and reinstall OS) use of AHCI in the options of SATA drive in the Bios that I read, that it may be able to see the full capacity. Yet the problems I'm running into now seem to be

1 BIOS can't even see the 5 TB drive in the Dell Optiplex 990.

2 Windows cannot install once even in the main drive of 1 GB that I have spend fast storage by default to use AHCI.

Please please advise on how I can use this 5 TB internal SATA drive or external drive USB in Windows 7. Thank you.

  • Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. Printer Spooler problem. Cannot print.

I have Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I did a clean install of Vista.

Basically I'm not able to add a printer, because of the many errors I get.

If I go to the printers-> add printer. I got the error: "Windows can't open add printer." The local print spooler service
does not work. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine.
Then I go to Run-> Services.msc and manually restart and 'Start' the printer spooler.

So now the Add Printer dialog box and choose to add a local printer... There is no existing port to choose
go and it does not create a new port. (I have to reboot and start the spooler each time before you can
to successfully open the Add Printer dialog box). (The Printer Spooler as somehow 'stop' shortly after I 'start'.

Go back and I try to add a network printer. I see my printer network hosted on the network drive, click on the
printer and I select the printer begins to try to install it, but it quickly produces the error message:
"Windows cannot connect to the printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or
    restart the machine.

I have absolutely no idea what could cause this problem. And Yes, I tried the Support to call Microsoft, the rep had no idea what was causing it.

And the print spooler dependencies are listed below:
This service depends on the following system components:
    Remote procedure call

The following system components depend on this service:
    Fax

If any ideas why I can't print?

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

In addition, please see the article with some useful information:

    Hi Johanna,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you can not use the USB in Windows 7.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely help you with this

    1. you get any error message?

2 have you tried using different USB ports?

    3. any other USB key works on the computer in question?

    4. do the USB works on any other computer?

5 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?

    Please follow the methods.

    Method 1:

Run the Microsoft fixit for the link.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

    Method 2:

As all devices have same also have USB device associated drivers. Appropriate sometimes drivers not detected after initial installation so reinstalling the drivers can fix the problems.

You can check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:

    (a) click Startand then click Control Panel.

    (b) click system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.

    (c) Note if the control panel is in Classic view, double-click Systemand then click on Device Manager.

    (d) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

    (e) in Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
Check that if at all, there is an exclamation point on the pilot, it suggests problems with the installed driver.

    (f) repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.

We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem.

  • Network Drive will not refresh, I use 2 machines to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32-bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

I use 2 machines to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32-bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

The network works fine with one question. When I add a new file on the same machine and try to access this new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I have to disconnect the network drive of the machine with the new folder, and then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder appears in Windows Explorer on the second machine.

It's very frustrating when I want to add a file attachment to e-mail from another machine and it does not appear until I disconnect and re - map the drive.

I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I don't remember this problem when my network was XP Pro machines.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your help.

The I work around this problem is to do step 1 and step two, as you suggest.  I haven't restarted the computer though - I will also try it.  I have also not tell abled my ESET NOD32 Antivirus software either - I'll try that too.
The network drive I'm seeing 'change' on does not refresh by itself, when I press F5 or go to view/update.
Search Google indicates that this refreshing a network drive issue to show a newly created folder, etc. is a long time, Windows 7 problem.
I would like your ideas on the potential problem of Windows 7 found on Google.
    Thanks again for your help.

    * I went to Windows Update, and was the only one available update for Windows Defender

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.
