Windows 7 Professional new hardware Activation error

Two days ago my computer received a boot error and forced me to restore to an earlier point. Yesterday, I received a Windows activation error telling me "the product key must be enabled with new material. I have not installed new hardware recently and I guess some piece of hardware that caused the system to need of a restoration is either faulty or the rear roller is causing Windows to think that I have installed a new piece. I have the product key and the Original OEM System Builder pack, but entering again into the key of the exact same error recurs immediately.

I'm not very savvy Windows so that any aid or an idea of where is would be greatly appreciated.

Please run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics Tool then copy and paste the results into an answer here for further analysis:

Agent utliliy hasa of Microsoft that corrects the Wups2.dll file. Download and run the Windows Update Agent that is correct for your system.

Copied and pasted from the link above...

    CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Wups2.dll file included in the latest version of Windows Update is not installed correctly.

For scenario 1, the registry entries that correspond to the Wups2.dll file are missing after installing Windows XP repair. The final version of Windows XP does not contain the Windows Update software.

For scenario 2, the registry entries that correspond to Windows Update are changed back to the Windows XP SP2 version if you do not restart the computer before you install Windows XP SP3. The registry entries for the Wups2.dll file are changed by pointing to the c:\windows\system32\wups.dll file that is included in the final version of Windows XP SP2.

    RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Download and install the Windows Update Agent click here to show or hide the way to determine if you are running 32-bit or a 64-bit Windows edition

      • For 64-bit Windows editions, the System Type value is x 64-based PC.

When I insert my SD CARD windows search for new hardware, it happened only with the SD CARD, when I use my CARD MMC is not the problem, I have the latest drivers on the site of toshiba and windows XP - SP2

    Hello

It seems that the Satellite P105-S6064 PSPA0U supports a 5 - in1 bridge media adapter.
This bridge media adapter supports the shared locations. This means that several types of cards can be used in this slot as a Secure Digital (SD card) card, memory stick, memory stick pro, Multi media (MMC) card and card xD picture card.

Seems that after the use of different cards, the pilot must be refreshed and so windows search new device.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong, but it would be interesting to know if the same thing happens on OS installed since the Toshiba Recovery CD.

By the way; The Sat 105 seems to be a mobile US and if you need drivers you must search on the Toshiba site we drivers compatible and taken in charge!

  • Reinstall Windows 7 Professional on a new laptop computer: activation issues

I bought the retail version of W7 Professional (no service pack) back in 2010 in the United Kingdom. Then I used for a while on a pc dedicated to Egypt (can I have reinstalled and activated several times on the same pc). Now the HARD drive on this pc is completely erased, and it is not in use.

I just bought a new laptop with the BACK and did the following:

    1 installed Windows 7 Professional

2 installed Windows6. 1-KB947821-v31-x 64.msu (Windows System Update Readiness Tool)

    3. install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7

4 entered my original product for Windows 7 Professional key

I then tried activation using my product key for W7 professional original but it didn't accept it and I now have options to go through phone activation or someone to talk to.

    • Do I have to enter my key product new or is once enough?
    • It will work through phone activation and all these numbers or I need to talk to someone?

Also the phone number in the activation of Windows 7 for the Egypt Assistant seems incorrect (+ 202 3776 4991) and I found another number (+ 202 3539 3333) online, but phone activation does not work and I can't talk to someone now (possibly, as it's a public holiday here, but also the Easter Friday). What is the right number?

Thanks a lot for any assistance.

Activation of the phone will be your only option at the moment, you can try the activation center number in the United Kingdom:

You probably won't be able to do so until Monday or Tuesday from its currently the Easter holidays in most parts of the world.

  • I just reinstalled my own copy of Windows 7 Professional and I get an error of activation.

I just reinstalled my own copy of Windows 7 Professional and I get an error of activation.  How it enabled?  Who can I call?

the easiest way is to use your COA key. (it can be found in your battery compartment.)
Unfortunately, the recovery media is AWOL

You should also have an OEM recovery partition that can be used to retrieve shipped from your system to a State. check your documentation or your manufacturer's website for instructions on how to use it. You can also order your manufacturer's recovery disks.

  • Can I reinstall the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional on a new hard drive without any problem of product/activation key?

Recently, my hard drive crashed and could be damaged, because I can not install anything on this subject.

I still have the CD of Windows XP Professional that has been used to upgrade to Windows 7.
So, if I buy a new hard drive and install XP first and then upgrade to windows 7. I'll be able to
to do this without side windows activation problems.
Or do I have to buy a new drive for windows?
PS: Is it important that it is the version of Windows 7 professional student discount?
    Thank you.

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Migration to new hardware for Windows 7 professional issues

I would like to copy a copy OEM licensed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a new computer.  I understand that the OEM license is linked to the original machine.  I want to just clone the old machine to a new machine - who has updated the hardware - and then ask the license OEM Windows 7 Pro 64 bits provided with the new machine to the cloned OS.  Simple operation - licences should be covered, and then I don't have to reinstall and reconfigure all my apps.

It is, gets Windows a BSOD, probably because the drivers installed are not compatible, starting with the motherboard chipset and video card, etc.  I need Windows for a new analysis of material to get new material.  I tried to use devcon rescan from the cmd line, but it comes back very quickly and does not seem to make any changes to the drivers installed.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Bill

See this tutorial.  A program such as Acronis True image can also do that.
