Windows 7 says not genuine, the product in use key

Why, after several months of use I get a message that says that my Windows 7 Ultimate is not authentic and that the product key is used by someone else when it is saved for me?

Your product key is blocked

Windows product ID: 00426-068-6093386-86089

The ID of the product - 068 - indicates a not for resale MSDN account. If you are not the account holder and you bought it in a box at retail, the box and its contents is counterfeit. Request an immediate refund from the seller

For MSDN keys: -.

MS cannot act until a key hit a threshold (they won't say an outsider that this threshold is, of course). They then put it in the internal systems to ensure that all stakeholders are informed, just in case it was an oversight - then it gets into the queue for the next update of the system. I don't know how many times WAT control system is updated, but I guess that it is not more than once a week because of the admin and synchronization issues. The internal processes of MS could easily take a couple of weeks.

It therefore depends on how near the end of a list of vendors in sale you are and how much time he sells them.

Those cannier sell just enough to stay under the threshold of each product (subs MSDN include a large number of products), until they have maximized profits, then try and flood the market before disappearing into the sunset, responsible for your money. It can take anything up to a year or more.

    Hi Kenj,

This problem may occur if you perform a hardware important change to your computer, such as upgrading the hard disk. If a major hardware change requires activatingWindows once again, you will be notified and will have three days to activate your copy of windows.

Another common cause of failed Windows validation occurs when you try to install on more computers than your license allows. For example, if you have purchased a copy of windows, installed on the PC more than one online validation may fail because the product key has already been used on another computer. Normally, the rule for most windows copies is that only one copy of Windows can be installed on a PC. Go toMicrosoftVolume Licensingto learn what your license allows.

I suggest you refer to the suggestions provided by Andre Da Costa replied on 9 December 2012 in the following link and check out them.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_install/replaced-motherboard-Windows-7-says-not-Geniune/857b94ea-9eb1-4937-A418-fee94b245e0e

Please answer us on the State of the question to help you further.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 does not accept the product key

Just bought a new PC to replace my crashed. Install Windows 7 from the DVD I got for my old PC. It does not accept the product key. Think it's because it was a copy of Windows 7 upgrade. What can I do about this that I can't downgrade to Windows XP. I have the original and the product key for Windows XP disks.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Windows 8 does not accept the product key

About 3 years ago I bought Windows 8 Pro (64-bit). In the meantime, I reinstalled the system a good several times because of some strange accidents (see my other question). Now, I tried to reinstall it again, until Windows 10 comes out, but activation does not accept the key. I read on other forums that this is probably beyond the limit of activations.

Is there a way to reset the key or am I forced to buy a second?

    Thank you

    Mario

    Hello Mario,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. you made any hardware or software changes to the Surface before the show?
    2. do you receive a code or a message when you say, 'activation does not accept the key?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur because corrupt Windows activation files or parameters.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
To activate the phone and check.
    Refer to this article:
Get help from Microsoft Windows activation
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/950929

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Please refer to the suggestions of nobody611 responded on 4 December 2012 and check the issue.

Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. OEM copies are not transferable between different motherboards.  The license is linked to the mobo mounted.  You are allowed to reagent a mobo replacement of the same make and model, but not an 'upgrade '.  However, you can try to activate by phone.  An agent can help you.

Activate by phone.  http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736912 (WS.10) .aspx

Or click Start and type ' slui.exe 4.

  • What is how best to manage the product in use keys?

    Hello

    BizSpark partner

My questions are below.  These questions were raised because I wanted to install the software for which product keys have been provided, but I realized that I wasn't sure of key that had been previously used.  I thought I would just look at the product installed for his key. After an online search, it seems that is not possible and I think I understand why, but I'd like confirmation of my understanding or correction my understanding if I don't have it right.

Therefore, I have 2 questions (attention he received questions for each question):

    (1) are the product keys not available for viewing on the computer where the software is installed?  Is - it to protect against software piracy?

    (2) what is the best way to manage the installation of the software to ensure that we remain within the limits of our license?  Do we not have manual records every time we install a software application?  Or y at - it a program that can be used to collect and total software in use with its product keys?

I posted this under Windows 8, but I also have Windows 7 machines in use.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Alan

  • Windows Vista does not recognize the product key

Purchased new Dell computer Dell a year ago, he a Vista Ultimate installed at Dell.

My hard deive badly shot, replaced the hard drive, I reinstalled Vista Ultimate Edition, using the Dell product key when it is installed by Dell, number on the back of the CPU, key # * used DVD Resteratiom work, also I tried was packed with the computer that is the key # * also will not work.

PLEASE HELP, HE SAID: THIS ISN'T A WINDOWS AUTHANTIC PROGRAM, BUT IT IS... WANT TO RECEIVE A KEY # WORK, THE FIGURES ARE CORRECT, AS I'VE DONE 4 TIMES, HAD SOMEONE ELSE READ THE NUMBERS. IT IS ON THE SAME COMPUTER SENT FROM DELL.

If you mean that you can not activate automatically, try to do it manually:

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

To solve the real problem (if there is still a problem after activation), repost on the Forum of real advantage to:http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Windows product ID: 00371-OEM-8992671-00524
    Windows product ID type: 2
    Windows license Type: OEM SLP

Your windows is only valid on the computer, it was originally installed on. It cannot be transferred.
You can buy a full windows installation on your motherboard retail retail.
    EDIT: added more information.

) SLP OEM: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

  • I installed Windows 7 not genuine, I need to activate it, but I could not find the product key

    * Original title: product key

I installed Windows 7 not genuine, I need to activate it, but I could not find the product key. Could someone guide me please.

If you can't find the product key, you will need to buy a new one:

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

  • I downoladed and tried to install CS6 on my computer after that machine has been upgraded to Windows 10.  I get a message that says "serial number is not for the product." The drop-down list does not contain CS6 Design and Web Premium.  What should I do

I downloaded and tried to install CS6 on my computer after that machine has been upgraded to Windows 10.  I get a message that says "serial number is not for the product." The drop-down list does not contain CS6 Design and Web Premium.  What should I do to get loaded and enabled on my computer?

That fall down, and the serial number you provide must identify the previous version that you upgraded because CS6 is an upgraded version in your case.
