Windows 7 - stuck on "Crack in progress"

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64.eu when I try to download Windows XP mode I get the 'in progress' Validation and it just hangs there. How can I get the validation corrected?

What version of the web browser / do you use? Make sure that you use Internet Explorer for validation, I noticed there are a few problems in Firefox and other browsers.

In addition, install the Windows Activation Technologies update.

  • Windows Update stuck at 'Check updates'

    Original title: Windows Update stuck

I had to recover my laptop windows 7 back to out-of-box state system. Once presented to my office, I immediately went to Windows Update to install all of the updates that I needed. After installing SP1, and restart the computer, windows update to update the update agent, so he could get some more updates. He said he would close and re - open Windows Update, which she did, but now it is stuck on "check updates".

The update that broke the update of Windows was "Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320"

I have since made a recovery of the system to the State out-of-box three times and each time "Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320" installs Windows Update is stuck saying "check updates".

I did tons of attempts to solve this problem, but it won't find more updates and I can't install more updates.

I have also experienced problems with Windows Update still looking for updates when Windows Update 7.6.7600.320 has been installed automatically after the system update to SP1 (it was after doing a clean install of Windows 7).

    The following worked for me:

    1. manually installing KB3083710

    2. manually installing KB3102810

    3. restart the computer

    4. run the Windows Update Diagnostic tool to reset Windows Update (support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058)

5 restart the computer again and search for updates

  • Updates Windows 7 stuck in verification mode

After a dismal upgrading to W10, I decided to restore on W7.  Everything is fine, but updates are glued to the verification mode.  I waited hours, tried tools, checked computer files for corruption, the FixIt Windows thingy... nothing worked.  I can't try a bunch of command prompts or removing and reinstalling stuff more things.  Someone has another help or am I screwed because Microsoft deliberately sabotaging W7?  Frustrated!   Thank you.

    You have two options here.

Option 1 - use a guide to solve the problem

You can read my wiki article on how to solve this specific problem. Attention, it requires technical skills to some extent. That being said, here is the link:

Windows Update stuck on "checking for updates... ».

Option 2 - use the Roll-Up of the Windows Update

Recently, Microsoft has packed all the updates of Windows 7 over the past five years in a single, easy-to-install package. Instead of spending hours trying to install updates 200 +, just install the roll-up and make. Personally, I would say this to option 1. I wrote an article of wiki for more details. Here is the link:

The last thing I've updated some Adobe applications ended a month ago but my latop working well at all until this blue screen suddenly. It is also the first blue screen crash in like 2 years.

    What has not worked:

Start by using last good configuration, under the main boot menu

Uninstalling the drivers I thought to be the cause, in safe mode

Msconfig: Disable everything under services and startup

    PROMT command: Sfc/Scannow

However, I found restore factore default but that's the last thing that I want to try because I have to do my music and adobe production apps back will cost a lot of time and data.

  • Update of Windows 8 stuck at 12%

Update Windows 8 stuck at 12%. Frustrating because I had to deal with the error 13% already. Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hi all

Update for Windows 8 (KB2771431) was released in December 2012, which the fixed an issue that was causing this update stops responding at 12% and caused also updated KB2756872 to stop responding to 13% of configuration updates.

If you hide one of these up-to-date or disabled the automatic updates to avoid this problem, you can now activate or restore your updates and search for new updates.  Details on how to restore updates can be found here.

    To search for new updates:

    1. Type Windows Update in the start screen, press or click settings, and then tap or click install optional updates.
    2. Press or click the link in the upper left corner that says check the updates.

  • Update the configuration Windows Windows 7 stuck failure

Hello. So my computer I've had for the past four years has been upward for most of the day. When my friend built the computer for me, he used a cracked version of Windows 7 that I never understood how to remove, so I just stuck with him as the operating system. Over the months, my system recognizes it as a counterfeit copy, but I never knew what to do. I bought a key for Windows 7, but have not circumvented to apply again. Today, I started my normal computer and noticed that he was stuck in the update screen, arguing that it was 35%. This screen seems to stay there for about an hour before I just turned off and restarted. Subsequently, now at the start of my computer it just gets locked in the stage of configuration failure Windows Update and rest at home until he gets in forest exploitation off the coast of the State. My cursor is not visible on the screen. I have original Microsoft installation disc to return to something to see I have to solve this problem by the permissions on the computer. I can't access my desktop. All the boot in advance the settings seem to have no effect at all. All that gives the same result. I ran my Windows memory Disgnostics tool, but it also seems to do nothing more. Please help, my computer urgently need. Thank you.

    Hi Zacharai,

Thanks for posting your concern. To further isolate the issue, we need to ask you a few questions.

1 did you change on your computer recently?
    2. is it booting up to Windows?

If so, please open the command prompt as administrator, and then type sfc/scannow. This will check if there is corrupted system files that are at the origin of the problem.

We suggest that you get a copy of a disc legitimate Windows 7 and installed in your computer, to avoid further problems in the system.

You can download the Windows 7 Setup and use your product key to activate it. Please see this link to install Windows 7: download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files).

    Let us know the result.

  • Windows Installer stucks at "preparing to remove...." "whenever trying to uninstall the program

    Hello.

I need help to solve this problem. A few days ago I was installing and uninstalling many programs... and Windows Installer did not show any kind of mistakes either. Now when I try to uninstall a program, it just stucks at 'Preparation delete... '. "and when I click on 'Cancel', nothing happens, so I need to complete the process in the Task Manager.

Windows Installer may be damaged or something, I don't know why it won't uninstall programs more. I tried to uninstall programs, when I click on one of the programs, only a stucks too and I need to cancel the uninstall Microsoft FixIt tool.

I have download some sort of "Revo Uninstaller" it stucks on this one aswell, as no doubt everything is connected to the Windows Installer service.

I tried to restart the service, and then restart the computer, always it stucks. Interesting thing is that he wants to install programs actually but won't uninstall them. Only way to uninstall is to go to their folder and click on one of the executables that suggests to "Uninstall" program. Problem is, that some of these programs have not just in their file and who is right for which I need to uninstall from the control panel.

I'm trying to understand this for two days already, not to do. The only change I made to the system, it's that I have installed the latest graphic driver NVIDIA GeForce customer experience through. Nothing else.

I don't want to reinstall Windows because of this. It's pain the *, and I did not restore point system, so I'll lose everything if I re-install the entire system.

P.S. I'm sorry if I chose the wrong category. I've no idea what Windows should be the problem of mine.

    Hello

Revo is a great little program and works independently of Windows.

Malware related programs have a tendency to not let you uninstall them, no matter what you do.

Read it in conjunction with the rest of the information they give link above.

    Note

If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If not, then run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair damage to the component store,

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - CheckHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - ScanHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - RestoreHealth

Restart the PC afterwards, and then retry the command sfc/scannow .

If still no, then try using ONE OPTION above to run the command sfc/scannow at the start

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the section THREE OPTION to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

  • Downloads/history/Bookmarks window is stuck in fullscreen

It started to happen after I started using full screen and split on the new OS X El Capitan.

I don't know what I did, but the window bookmarks/downloads/history (the one that appears when you click on "View history", etc.) is now permanently stuck in fullscreen. It takes up the entire screen and it disables the menu bar and Dock as would a normal fullscreen - but it is clear that this is a bug, I can somehow move (see screenshot). No title bar is displayed when I move my cursor to the top of the screen, and the usual shortcut of control-command-F toggle full screen doesn't seem to work.

A little over 2 weeks ago he had a problem with the WiFi connection - which also seems to be associated with the Windows updates - I got this one and it has been fine since then. Started an automatic update last night and now he's stuck. Any ideas?

    Hi Jamame,

Thanks for your post, I will do my best to help you!

I see that your computer did an update for more than 12 hours and has not completed or seems to have improved.

First of all you could cancel the update, restart the computer.  Then you would go The HP Support Assistant to search for updates or problems. Here is a document to help performance. Improve the performance of the system without adding memory (Windows 7). I would also like to launch the File Checker.  Using the File Checker system to restore the system files. Now repeat your update with her power.

  • One of my two Firefox Windows is stuck at halfway offscreen

I am running Vista, fully updated. I have two windows open in firefox, both with ten legs. I was moving around and accidentally moved one half out of the screen. Now he is stuck there, and whenever I try to bring him back, he moves slightly, then freezes and doesn't let me do anything until I hit ctrl-alt-del; then when I hit Cancel and return to my office, the window is returned to its original position off screen. I tried to close all currently running C-Cleaner, then by restarting my computer, but no luck. The window returns to the same place and seeds even when I try to move it. I can move the other Firefox window without problems, and Word and windows Digsby. Any ideas?

In the Task Manager Applications tab, you can right-click each Firefox window and select to "maximize".

You can start by CTRL + ALT + DELETETask Manager.
