Windows 7 system freezes and Constant mouse lag

Just got a brand new system with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I have constant lag mouse every few seconds, and fairly frequent system complete freeze ups requiring a hard reboot.  I see others complaining about these problems, but no real solution.  Anyone?

Search on the website of the computer mftr. updated drivers for all your hardware. Make sure that you have nothing from Windows that you have installed which may not be compatible with Win7. If you have not installed anything and it is not updated, computer drivers brand new + disorders = taking it back for warranty replacement. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Thank you! I tried what you mentioned, nothing has worked... I plugged a usb keyboard and it works, so I'm starting to believe it could be a motherboard problem. I finally got windows xp pro installed, no conflicts in Device Manager, all the drivers are installed and now running smooth. I removed the keyboard, and re-set, all connections look good, but still not good. the synaptics keyboard works fine and both rt & lft click the buttons. I pulled the ram to inspect it, it's the right speed, ddr2700, and after running for an hour, it was cold to the touch! I'll try to get a new keyboard and replace it, their pretty good work, if still not good it becomes pieces on ebay... lol tx again... Marty

I have a little Acer One connected to my bigger screen.  I use the free version of AVG, I've read can cause problems and I have also read that I needed to update my version of Java and this could lead to freezing and no response in IE8.  Come to find out that I didn't even have Java so you download the version for my computer but nothing changed.  I need an answer to help my computer.  He arrived at the point where I can't even get anything without IE8 freezing and when I try to wait just outside, it will specify that it does not.

  • My Acer Aspire V - 123 Windows 8 keeps freezing and some keys on the keyboard are not working

I'm currently using a netbook ACER ASPIRE V - 123 with Windows 8 as its operating system and it is not yet updated to 8.1.

At first when my computer laptop while boots 'seems' to agree, and whenever I try to open a file without any content it took me about 30-45 seconds, opening a program would take me almost 45 seconds to a minute, and I think that something is not right with my laptop and when I try to open a website via my web browser and my laptop would just FREEZE and I can't do anything about it , but I hate to do HARD reset. And to add to this unfortunate scenario is that some of the keys on my keyboard are not working the letters like R, T, I, O and backspace and many others (which I don't remember exactly one by one).

I try to read some forums on different sites and some posts to the community of MS and did several tests like starting in SAFE MODE w / NETWORKING and downloaded the software like MALWAREBYTES to find potential infections, but nothing found. I also did the start-up in MINIMAL MODE, but again, the situation was the same, but when I'm the boot without failure the filling and freezing are only decrease and I don't want always starts in mode safe.

From now my laptop is booting in a start-up in MINIMAL MODE and I don't know what to do next, what to try next. I hope someone could lead me to the solution to this problem, I would be eternally GRATEFUL.

Please do help me in a step by step process and if possible please guide me with pictures or screenshots because I prefer to learn things when I Visual effects on what to do.

Thanks for patiently reading this post.

    Hi Ben,

Sorry for the late reply, the laptop has been fixed, it seems to be a hardware problem. We disconnected the connection of the keyboard to the laptop right now I use an external keyboard to type. Cannot afford now to buy and replace my laptop keyboard, the graphics card Driver has been updated also and I've reformatted the OS

The gel did not appear more in the normal boot and if all goes well for work this way for good.

Thanks for the information you have shared to me, he has also been a great help.

    until next time Ben!

  • Satellite M70-169: screen freezes and meshes + mouse freezes

    Hello
Hope you can help. So far, I'm impressed by my toshiba satellite m70-169.

He has recently developed an intermittent fault: when the tilt of the screen the effect of light mesh on it and the screen freezes. The mouse also hangs at this point.

If I tilt the screen one way or the other I can get it to work properly. A slighy inclination of the screen can cause the screen to freeze again. The problem is getting worse, however.

The machine has never been dropped or struck, but was taken by one of the screen when it is open.

I disassembled the strainer and push gently on various points and cables but nothing in this area suggests a loose connection or a weak point. So I believe the problem is in the essence. I tried to open this up but it fails because I didn't force anything.

Question 1: any suggestions on the problem and possible solutions?
Question 2: advice like how to open the main part, so I can check any loose cables, connectors or broken bones?
    Question 3: patterns for disassembly?

Even once - I hope you can help - thanks in advance...

    John

    Hi John

The above user is right. It s too risky to disassemble the laptop without having any experience with laptops.
It is why I always recommend taking to a technician.

But if you want, you can have a look here:

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Qosmio G30 - need two Windows operating systems: Vista and XP

    Hello

can someone help me on the following application procedures:
I need two operating systems on my Qosmio: Vista and XP
I have two drives RAID inside my Qosmio and I installed Vista on the first.

I tried to install XP on the second hard drive and I did (I have inserted XP installation disk and sellected second disc for installation), but after installation I got just the XP startup option.

I can see all the files of Vista on the first disc, but allows boot XP only. Directory Windows XP was intalled on second drive, but boot.ini and some system files have been at the root of the first disc.

I liked Vista and I repeated the procedure (with my recovery CD of Vista) and now I have Vista on the first disc and all files of XP on the second disc. I do not study how to get full XP on the second disk bootable system.

    What I need:
Vista on the first hard drive.
    XP on the second disk

I would have completely independent Windows System. This means that I have to start selection of BIOS, not Vista or XP.

    Hello

It's very strange. If you have installed the first Vista and XP as a second OS then the Vista boot manager must exist usually.

Please note that Vista uses 2 partitions. A partition is not visible. I hope that you have installed XP on this partition.

In any case, I recommend you to create a new partition on the first HARD drive and you could install XP as second operating system.

After this installation, you can use applications freeware like EasyBCD or VistaBootPRO to change the Vista Boot Manager.

  • Move the Windows Backup system image and backup to a new hard disc

    Hi all

I got a new external hard drive because my old external hard drive was not large enough to hold all my backups.  Now, I would like to move the backup from the old hard drive to the new hard drive.  It is really easy to start from scratch on the new drive, but about two months ago of backup history on the old disk I want to keep if I can.  Also, I can't figure this out on my own because it seems that the backups are stored in hidden or system files, or which are prohibited and require special authentication.

Can someone help me find the location of the backups on my old hard drive?  Or is there something I should do in Windows that will transfer the data for me?

    Thank you very much!

    Kevin

The name of the folder that store all backups of your image is: X:\WindowsImageBackup\

Where X: is the drive letter of the external drive.

If you also created backups of files and folders these are also easily spotted. If for some reason you can't locate/view this file enable "Show hidden folders and files" in Windows Explorer.
