Windows 7 Taskbar Question

Forgive me if this question was asked by many. I've looked everywhere and I can't find a solution.

I want the icon to an icon, even though I have the application to open. I got it like that before, but I changed it to default sort. I want the minimized window AND icon on my taskbar.

Hi Sam

Right-click empty spot on the taskbar , and then click Properties.

In the drop-down buttons on the taskbar menu, select the option always combine, hide labels .

  • Windows 7 taskbar hidden

All of a sudden, I can't have the Windows 7 taskbar to show when I place the cursor at the bottom... What could be the causes?

It is a known issue that is finally admitted to by Microsoft and occurs with several browsers using Windows 7. Simplest solution is to click on the Windows button to bring up the hidden taskbar.

  • Why doesn't Firefox support the Windows 7 taskbar properly.

Firefox does not work in static form of the Windows 7 taskbar button. When you close the main window of Firefox, the downloads window stays open. Because it is a Firefox window still open, you cannot start an another main Firefox window without first close the downloads window. It is against the expectations of the design of the Windows 7 task bar.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    == I installed Firefox on Windows 7

Double clicking on the icon of Firefox on the desktop (or by using the start menu) will allow another "main" window of Firefox to open - even if the download window is still open.

This problem is fixed in the latest alpha of Firefox versions, so that the 'hand' last window is closed leave the application - even if windows as downloads are still active. (This will be fixed in Firefox 4.0, because updates minor Firefox only to solve problems of stability and security and not to introduce new behaviors)

    Hi Comintern,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

  • The Adobe reader print window menu, the button print is covered by the Windows 7 taskbar

The Adobe reader print window menu, the button print is covered by the Windows 7 taskbar.  I can still print on my laptop by pressing on enter, but I can't resize the print windows to narrow down, or click on the "print" button from my bar tasks it covers.

In the middle of the three buttons at the top right. Make sure the middle one shows one box. Then you can drag the window down and in and grabbing the banner at the top to raise it above the taskbar.

Make sure that there are no other open windows including minimized in the taskbar, and then close Adobe Reader. Windows will remember the size as long as it is the last window closed.

  • How to stop Windows 7 taskbar of projection on the events? (no message bubbles)

    I'll explain it like this:

I disabled all notifications in Windows 7.  I balloons you, Windows does not try and tell me when the bread is done, none of this.  However!  If I am away from programming in a window and another program or operation decides he needs some attention then slides the taskbar back up in the view on something I am working in the window.  It won't go away until I give it some attention as a child in need.
What I want for the taskbar is to go away and stay away until I have A) move my mouse to the bottom of the screen or B) my Windows key press.
    How can this be accomplished?
And if it is not able to do it, then how can I at least make sure the taskbar do not appear on top of everything else?  If at least he stayed in the background would be something.

Yes windows snap is an easy way to view side by side or resize a window in full screen,

The bad news is that windows does not remember that broken full-screen :(

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/snap

    This works best.

If you have the taskbar in your opinion,

Then use windows snap to the side of your screen so that it takes half of the window and drag it to fill the screen, close and reopen this window, windows don't forget the size, be careful not to hit the other side of the screen, because once your pointer hit the other side of your screen it will activate snap again and you will start again :)

That's where it helps your question,

Window fills your screen with the exception of the taskbar is where,

Now if you use F11 mode full screen will cover the taskbar and notifications should not interrupt

How this is different from what you have described is, F11 will take you to the to-do bar view and a little near window full screen,

You will have a small edge (this is important), because it is the parameters of the window with scrollbars for scrolling horizontal and vertical,

F11 using not will mess not setting up / but if you enlarge otherwise it will remove the borders it to the resolution will change,

It's a quirk / little detail, but you will find it easier to friendly when dealing with alerts / opinion I google talk.

    A note more,.

If you have changed the properties / Run options to run programs Maximized, change it to normal window, simply repeat snap windows to the side of your screen and drag the window to fill it with the taskbar in your opinion,.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot detach Firefox icon to Windows 7 taskbar - new facility.

I installed Firefox on a new laptop running Windows 7 today. It appears that the installation has a FF icon on my Windows 7 icon. Large. However, when I click on this icon, it adds a second FF icon beside the original and the other and the other for each session of FF that I opened. It obstructs the taskbar! My previous install simply "stacked" FF session icons in one place on the taskbar?

I have read several threads which suggest FF opening with the original on the taskbar icon. Then, right click the new icon and select "pin this icon to the taskbar. Then right-click of the original icon and select "remove this icon to the taskbar. That's the problem. When I right click the original icon, no additional options are displayed. Nothing! He says only: "Mozilla Firefox".

So, basically, I can't delete the original icon at all? Any suggestion would be appreciated!

jscher2000. Thank you once again. Well, I solved it, but by chance. I restarted the PC and the icon disappeared from the taskbar! Weird. I created a new start menu, and no, it works as expected.

On your previous post, you are probably right. FF did not place the icon in the taskbar. Got dragged there that has been placed on the desktop. Good fishing.

Not sure why the previous icon would cooperate not at all on the first time. Just after the restart. Maybe a registry setting?

    Thanks again!

  • Problem opening 26.0 Firefox from the Windows 7 taskbar.

I have Firefox pinned to the taskbar in Windows 7 on the bottom of my screen. I use a desktop PC. Most of the time, when I click the icon it opens Firefox without any problems. However, occasionally, when first, I turn on my computer and click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, it gets highlighted but does not appear the little circle and the highlight fades without opening the browser. When that happens, I can not yet turned off my computer without pressing the button on the tower. This happens only the first time that I open the browser in the morning, and it seems to happen every two weeks. Any thoughts on what is happening? I just had a virus removal made, so that shouldn't be the problem.

  • How can I fix the space between the bottom of my window and taskbar?

Recently (today), firefox has had a space between the bottom of the window and my taskbar. I tried the relocation and safe mode, and it does not disappear. Here is a screenshot of the problem. http://imgur.com/mTQtrDN

Hey guys, I discovered that it was not just firefox, but all the windows with borders, like the windows Explorer. My difficulty was unlock the taskbar and dragging to halfway up, then down.

  • Duplication of Firefox icons on the Windows 7 taskbar

Citing the Forum Windows 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/256708-duplicating-icons-taskbar.html

    Hello

I searched high and low for a way to do this, but I can't seem to find anything. First of all, I don't want to install or download any program whatsoever. I want to do with what I have, aka Windows 7.

Let's say I have 2 or more profiles Firefox. I want to open them in separate windows. This is done easily with - no.-remote, correct? Well, if I want to open them in two different icons on the taskbar?

Currently, I open both profiles, but they will be grouped in the Firefox icon. I don't want them be grouped. I could customize my taskbar and choose something other than "always combine, skin tags. Unfortunately, I don't want labels. And I want every other icon to combine. It's only the different profiles in Firefox I want to separate.

    Is this possible?

    Moderator sets the broken URL

You can try to do a copy renamed only the firefox.exe file in the current Firefox program folder to see if it works.

If this does not work, you can try to copy the whole Firefox program folder to another folder (Mozilla Firefox2) to see if that works (may as well fail because the firefox2.exe program will still report as the same application in the Windows OS) and firefox.exe program is only a draft that checks if other Firefox programs are already running without a - no.-remote switch and load the real application if necessary.
