If I go to display properties in the themes tab and go to the menu drop down it says all my themes are there, but when I click on Windows XP, everything returns to normal with the exception of the Windows & buttons they remain classic Windows. now in my tab bevelling in the display properties on my top menu drop-down I have only an option for the classic Windows style (of course, all the color schemes are there and sizes of fonts. also if I change a color scheme, the size of the police, or both on my windows & buttons that it will stick when I return to themes tab and select Windows XP. this problem is in all user accounts) even new, I create just I tried EVERYTHING I can think and really want this problem resolved as soon as possible (I hope immediately)

I'd give a juice like to post that I gave up looking for help & decided I will save all files on this computer and do a full system restore & hope it works

  • My windows aero theme disappeared on my dell inspiron 1545.

I put my computer in mode 'sleep' last night, and after a few hours I turned back on it. much to my annoyance, available to windows on usual measure was nowhere to seen, and he was replaced by a gray opaque which I don't like so much. I realized to my horror that my beloved theme Aero, which I had used for 2 years, was absent, and instead the computer has been set by default at the base of Vista. I was not uncomfortable with its primitive features, so I decided to find out how to get Aero.

The first thing I did was click on personalize, then window color and appearance. This didn't work at all, as long as the option was not among the choices of Windows Aero. So that's all for the Plan.

I raised the questions of other users who have had the same problem. Among solutions prohibited for them was that graphic drive should be upgraded. I know that my drive has been already updated a few months before this problem, he didn't need.

Then, I heard to reconfigure a certain place in the register, namely HKEY_CURRENT_USER, in order for Aero back, so I thought I would try it out. I walked into the registry "regedit", scrolled down to find this place, and would you believe, I could NOT EVEN FIND the!

Either it is nowhere in the registry or it hides like ninja among the masses in there. (If anyone can tell me how to locate in the registry, I would be happy).

Now I'm not sure what to do. My computer will be like a stranger to me without the Aero theme and I want the good old, friendly computer back I've had for two years. If anyone, no matter WHO, he knows the ultomate solution, I will deal with my best friend of the internet worldwide (not literally, just a figure of goodwill). So please, give me an answer!

    HOLY (insert moderately vulgar expletive)!

MY WINDOWS AERO THEME SUDDENLY APPEARED FROM nowhere SHARE, zigzag3143x

    OK, HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED:

IN WHAT I THOUGHT, IT WAS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (AND LESS IMPORTANTLY), I NOTICED THAT THE RESOLUTION OF THE SCREEN WAS TOO WIDE FOR MY TASTE SO I RIGHTCLICKED ON THE DESK AND WENT TO CUSTOMIZE AND THEN CLICK DISPLAY SETTINGS.

I CHANGED THE RESOLUTION, AND NOT ONLY CHANGED THE SIZE, HE BROUGHT BACK THE AERO! IT IS ACTUALLY RETURNED, FEATURES, COLORS AND ALL! I PUT THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP AND IT WAS RESTARTED TWICE, AS I DID WHEN AERO DISAPPEARED. NOTHING HAPPENED, THE NA NO AERO IS IN GO

IM SURPRISED. I MEAN, THE RESOLUTION WAS A WORLD AWAY FROM THE AERO QUESTION, AND NOW THESE TWO ARE NOW LINKED IN SOME WAY.

zigzag3143x, I'M STUNNED AND HAPPY AT the SAME TIME, BUT ALSO WOOLLEY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GRAPHICS DRIVER, ALTHOUGH I WAS DUBIOUS, BUT I NEVER THINK THAT A SIMPLE SCREEN RESOLUTION CHANGE WOULD BRING BACK MY BELOVED WINDOWS AERO.

I'M GOING TO INSTALL A NEW DRIVER BECAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU THAT IT MIGHT BE DAMAGED, BUT CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP MAN! YOU ARE A BROTHER FOR LIFE

  • Changed Windows style/theme

Theme or style of the appearance of windows changed.  Looks like in a old computer theme and style, that is, the Start button is more round, but rectangular and many other fundamental changes.  Option in WindowsOther user account has not been affected by the change.   Options in Windows Color and appearance have changed.  Looks like an old XP type options.  That's happened?  How do go back to what it was?

I found the answer myself: Director of Windows desktop has been turned off.  Also, I had to restart themes.  These two have been set in the Services.  Find my answers here:

  • Produce shows Checker tool missing Windows Classic.theme?

After running the sfc/scannow SFC tool the journal indicates the Windows Classic.theme file is missing [where he has been under C:\Windows\Resources\Themes]...and unable to fix because of the file in the store is also corrupt... I don't know I don't know what that means other that I can't get an easy fix or automatic. I have had a long-standing problem of not being able to save a theme, any theme as a custom color wallpaper or a customized version of Windows Standard, etc.. Save it under... does not work as the dialog box remains open and my question is what it might be because the Windows Classic.theme file is missing in the folder resources Aero? If Yes, where can I copy the classic theme file? I tried quitting a little and the only place where I can find this file is in the MSDN Library, Tech and he treats the download as a "sample"... and I'm not sure of what would make a copy of a file for me? Thank you.

Download SP2 yet once, it is not the solution to the mounting system files.

It is a common problem when you perform a repair installation, as different levels of MS.

Read this note of General information, I did for the problem of SP2:

Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the drive that you are using a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have installed.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/948537

"How to uninstall Windows Vista service packs"

If the installed OS has the disk with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > install the upgrade > reinstall SP2.

  • Why my Windows 7 theme keep changing every time that I reboot?

I recently bought a laptop Acer Ferrari One with pre-installed Windows 7. I have customized the Windows 7 theme, but every time I turn off reset them to the default desktop background settings when I switich it turn it back on. The other parameters remain the same as the color of the sounds, screensaver and window, but why change my wallpaper? I saved the theme I created and continually delete one keep the laptop automatically create by default. How to stop? Is it possible that I can do my default theme?

    Thank you

I experienced the same problem, but this solved it for me.

    Go to regedit > HKEY_Current_User > Software > Microsoft > Windows > DWM

Once in DWM, right-click on an empty area inside it and create two new DWORD value (32), as shown below.

    Blur

    Animations

Once these are added, right-click on them and click on change to ensure that the value is set to 0. Then open cmd (command prompt) as an administrator.  -Windows 7 users can open quickly as administrator by typing cmd in the start menu search box, and then shift + right click on the command prompt > open as administrator

    net stop uxsms

    net start uxsms

You may need to disable a list item to hit apply, but double-check it after hitting apply first and then re - re-check the list item and click on apply. This will prevent the computer to change the custom to 'let windows choose what's best for my computer.

This will fix the problem. Looks like a lot to do, but really, it isn't and is easy.

  • Of Windows Aero theme does not

I know there are a lot of other posts on this subject online, but their solutions have yet to help me.  My windows Aero theme has suddenly stopped working.  I ran the store and he tells me that it is a problem of graphics, but I can still run games like 2 Troubleshooting and Minecraft very well.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6 with an AMD Radeon HD 7600 M Series and AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + double HD 7600 M graphics card.  I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the cards, but without success.  If there is anything else I can try, please let me know.  Thanks for the help.

Thank you very much for the help.  I will try your solution, but my windows eventually break I guess.  I decided just to format the hard drive and reinstall windows because it wouldn't start even in the first place.  Everything works fine now, but.  Thanks for the help.  If the problem happens again, I know where to go for help!

  • How to use Windows 7 Theme - Bing Dynamic (RSS Theme)

Original title: Windows 7 theme issue - Bing Dynamic (RSS Theme)

I used a lot of new themes Windows 7 without problem, but I can't get the RSS theme called Bing Dynamic to work. When I've download it and open it, everything that is in the theme is the theme of the vacuum (without images), so he leaves my black desktop. I thought he might start work after waiting a minute so he could upload an image, but it has been more than 30 minutes and still no picture. It doesn't have the RSS symbol on the theme in my list as it does on the computer of my friend (which he doesn't), but for the photo album, it has the right location: a web address for a theme server. How to operate?

    Hi geobrad7,

Where you downloaded the theme of?

Please follow these instructions to get the theme to work.

    a. to use this theme, download and double click the download here link: fresh paint, updated automatically

    b. click on save file.

    c. a window will appear asking to subscribe to the news FEED. Simply click download attachments and wait themes to download for your system.

    d. visit Server theme page to view and download these backgrounds.  http://themeserver.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?p=Bing&c=desktop&m=en-us

Unlike other packages thematic you cannot decompress it to extract the images, because it's a theme that downloads images on your PC of RSS. In addition, since it is a background process, it will take a long time to upload photos high resolution within the feed.

    e. wait a while until the theme downloads images one after the other on your computer. So far, you will see a black background on your desktop.

    f. once the pictures are downloaded, theme does not automatically update the queue of new photos in the slideshow. Therefore, log out of the computer and the connection back to check.

    More themes, see:
