Windows 7 Ultimate Language Pack help

Hello, I have a genuine copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. I had all the language packs on windows update, with the exception of the Korean language. I checked for update like 20 times and it is not always displayed. Any ideas?
AND if you install the Korean language should support for the Korean game? or does go like$#%@$% (@# I hope not)

  • Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 (64-bit) will not download completely stuck at 95%

I tried to install Service Pack 1 of Windows today on my laptop.  On one of my laptops with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit operating system Windows Update downloaded (with 4 other updates) in about an hour and installed successfully during the shut down and restart.

However on my laptop main used with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1 stops downloading (although he says he always download or seems to be) to 95%.  The first time that I tried to download with 3 other updates to Windows, and it stuck.  I finally stopped after about 7 hours with it stuck at 95%.  Isolated, the other downloads and downloaded and installed after the reboot and did it in less than 15 minutes.  Then began to try to download only the Service Pack 1.  It has now been underway for six hours and is still stuck on download of 95%.

Another forum on the web had a message that the Service Pack 1 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit will not download if you have installed language packs.  (Those who took me about 3-4 days to install and download due to make them one at a time because as a group they would get hung up.)  So I hope that I did not remove the language packs to get this Service Pack 1 installed on this machine.  I hope that Microsoft would have tested on a computer in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with language packs installed but maybe not...

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I GAVE TO MY VISTA NOW, I HAVE JUST AS MUCH TROUBLE I DID BEFORE.  ABSOLUTELY, NO DOWNLOAD FROM ANYWHERE.  I WOULD BE HAPPY TO RETURN TO XP.  DEE

I feel for you Dolores it was extremely painful and tedious experience.  The final fix for my computer was going back to the origin by default with Windows Vista Home Premium on my computer.  Then load the software Windows 7 Ultimate.  Then the installation of updates about 100 + Windows which took place including Windows 7 SP 1.  All this has been done before loading another software (except Firefox and Chrome) on my computer.  I did it too before my security software loading, which – incidentally, roughly double the speed of downloads and other features of the computer.  Then after all the updates for Windows 7 has been done, I loaded with Microsoft Office Applications and its many updates.  After that I loaded my security software and checked for viruses.  Then rebuilt all the other features, software customization, etc. of this computer.  Literally, it took over a month to return to the same functionality that it had before the Windows 7 SP1 crashed the computer.  All I can say is thank God that I am religious about backing up files and folders, so I think I got about 95% of my files, folders, etc.

Since the reconstruction, I didn't "major" problems with Windows 7, but I cringe when I update Windows 7 via their process of updating every Tuesday.  I also try to update not updates at the same time or too large sizes in the updates, even if it takes more time to do it this way.  I also reboot after each update whether necessary or not.  I run two registry cleaners different at least once a week, or even more often as since the failure of catostrophic SP 1 of the operating system.

I will say this though, a lot of programs/software, I had that wouldn't work with Vista, all of a sudden work again with Windows 7.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7 - Swedish Language Pack

    Background:

Updated the laptop my wife from XP to Windows 7. Material has a Swedish keyboard and XP has been installed directly from the Swedish. Upgrade, I got a Win 7 Ultimate DVD that was only direct English. I installed the OS DVD, then the Swedish language pack added during the update process. No problem with the upgrade or LP install. Works very well.

The only problem I have is cosmetic/aesthetic and that bothers me. When you connect the computer displays "Welcome", not "Valkommen" (Swedish). However, when we log on screen displays Swedish - "Xenonas ut" - does not "logout". So I take this to prove that the computer knows it is 'Swedish', but for some reason any displays some items in English. Same English result for "Please wait" and "stop". On reflection, I came to the theory that the three English screens noted the Swedish equivalent contains one of the Swedish characters not in the English alphabet (a, a, o) - specifically a - and the system does not understand how to display these characters and the default values for English. It's strange to me because you can type these characters from the keyboard without problem.

If this is the case, what and how do I change to get all Swedes during the connection / disconnection? I changed everything in the menu region & language for "Swedish" without result. Really, the only thing that has not been set to Swedish had to do with non-Unicode and changing that has not made a difference. Is it possible to change or are we stuck with Swenglish? As I said, this isn't a major problem for me - just want to know why the inconsistent results and, eventually, how to fix it.

Bonus question: there is really no need to English on the computer, but it is beacause of the installation DVD. Can I safely remove the English language pack and just leave the Swedish? When I went to explore this option the system provided a warning that English was the language of installation and seemed to suggest removing the English would be a bad idea. Again, this is not a big problem, I just wondered what the official position is on the subject.

    Thank you, DV

I found my answer on the administrative tab of region/language. When I opened the option 'Copy settings', only the current user has been configured to use the Swedish language pack. The home screen has been updated with American English based on the original installation. Copy the current settings to the user on the Welcome screen solves the problem. Start and stop are now all in Swedish.

You will not be able to eliminate the English as the base language pack.
The only thing you can do is uninstall and reinstall Swedish pack and find out what's happening
