Windows 8.1 compatibility

I have a C310e HP all-in - one Printer. After the Leova upgrade to 8.1 do not see the Solution Center. Follow the instructions to reinstall printer. But no success with Solution Center. Also, the prnter does not recognize the computer. Printing is not a problem but can not print to file. Must use a memoy stick. I have to go through reinstalling again or should give up the solution Center.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

    You could simply stop the Microsoft Essentials if it's getting in the way.

    You can associate all the CRD files to cardfile.exe. Then make a shortcut to one of your records CRD and the shortcut will launch automatically cardfile.exe and open your clicked in CRD file.

    How do you associate files CRD with cardfile.exe? Easy. Right click on one of your CRD records, select Properties. On the general tab, there is an article entitled: "opens with: There is a 'CHANGE' button to the right which, when clicked, takes you to a list of applications from which you can choose. You can configure your system open the CRD files with any application of your choice, but the CRD files are from cardfile.exe, then this would be your best choice.

    As far as I know generic drivers will be used by Windows to run the component. Later, you can use the Windows 8 drivers and update the drivers manually.

    The game should run fine under Win7 64 bit. The problem is that the installer is only 16 bit and is no longer supported in Windows. Just use a different Setup program. Try www.markusegger.at. I'm running the Doomsday Machine, Alliance Xwing, Xwing v's Tiefighter, and Grim fandango all on 64 bit Win7 all using custom Setup programs.

    I also used the original X-wing, Tie-fighter and fate of Atlantis via Dosbox.

    As you mentioned, you have Windows 7 Home Premium installed, the suggestion to install Windows XP mode won't help.
    However, you can contact the game manufacturer and check if they released the updates for the game work on Windows 7.

    If you haven't already done so, then browse the thread that Hordie posted.  It doesn't have a lot of discussion on FO3 getting to work on Windows 7.  Officially since the Bethesda site, FO3 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7, but there are many people who work on Windows 7.  You can also check this thread.

    I have a few steps that might help you solve the problem.
    1. disconnect all external devices.
    2. turn off the antivirus software.
    3 uninstall the DVD/CD burning software.

    3. now turn the computer in clean boot mode and try the upgrade to windows 7.

    To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows 7, follow these steps.

    1. click on start toreduce this includes this image, type msconfig in the Search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click restart.

    7. after the computer starts, try upgrading to windows 7.
