  It seems that the file format has been corrupted. You might consider formatting the drive in NTFS file system and check if this solves the problem. For Windows 7, the best choice for hard disks is NTFS.

  Note: Make sure that you back up the data before formatting the disk.

  From Windows 8 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in the browser.  This includes Windows Server 2012.  For this reason, Microsoft locks the permissions on files to prevent users to erase files.  Microsoft does not provide a standalone installer of Flash Player for IE/Edge on these platforms and all updates from Microsoft via Windows Update.  By force to unlock the file and forcing the removal of the file you probably made your system unable to re - install Flash Player because there is no separate standalone installer for Flash Player on Windows Server 2012.  If you do not need Flash Player on this system, which is not a problem.  But if you need Flash Player on this system, you can, or can be not, be able to reinstall it.

  I also received an email from another client this weekend who had encountered a similar problem.  Here's what they found and how they have managed to solve the problem:

  The reason for blocking files flashplayer.xpt was the ThreatFire program.

  • Download uninstaller http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html FP (save to disk);
  • Download the executable install (s) of http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html (save to disk);
  • Close all the browser windows, and then run the uninstaller downloaded;
  • Restart Windows;
  • using Windows Explorer go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
  • Remove all remaining files in this folder;
  • now run the install (s) downloaded.

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Downloaded and executed/uninstalled the AFP several times; whenever it appears on my hard drive, but it does not appear on my list of Firefox ad - ons? If I then try to play a video on Fox, it warns me that AFP is not installed? I'm frustrated - I read all posts on this problem, either something is "weird" and I missed it, or I do not understand the available corrections. I have not had any problems at all with Firefox until these latest two updates? I have not been invited to support AFP up to now - the Fox network has changed their requirement of video player?   According to the details of your system, you have correctly installed the latest version of Flash. A clean install (and then reinstall the Flash Player) can help as you suggest. But first, I would try to clear your cookies and cache (see below). In addition, you may need to restore the last full version, Firefox 25 until this issue is resolved.

  Note: This will be you temporarily disconnect all sites, you're connected to.
  To clear the cache and cookies to do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > history > clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is displayed) go to tools > clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "all".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to details to toggle the active details list.
  4. In the list of details, see the Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything.
  5. Now click the clear now button.

  To make a bootable usb flash drive, you must have a minimum of 4 GB flash drive and download a software like Novicorp WinToFlash. Install this software and make it easily.

  Since you can get Safe Mode, follow these steps:

  Click Start, run and enter in the box:

  cmd

  Click OK to open a command prompt window.

  The dmboot.sys file must be in this folder (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive):

  c:\Windows\System32\Drivers

  Depending on your installation, enter the following command:

  copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\dmboot.sys c:\windows\system32\drivers

  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

  If the file has not been found in the dllcache folder (it should really be), enter this command:

  copy c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\dmboot.sys c:\windows\system32\drivers

  If it is still not found, then I can download one on my SkyDrive and you can download it and replace the one on your system.

  After replacing the file, restart and see what things look like.
