Windows 8 + 9 VMware + Hyper-V conflict?

Hello world

I am facing a problem when you try to start a VM Windows Server 2008 R2 on my Windows 8 Pro RTM x 64 laptop.

The error message is the following: "VMware Workstation and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V system role before running VMware Workstation. »

I tried to disable Hyper-v using the Hyper-V management application, but the error remains.

Someone help me please?

Thank you

Disable the Hyper-V role is not enough and you may need to create a boot entry extra on the host computer to start without the support of Hyper-V. Please take a look at Execution nested VMs (VMware Workstation under Hyper-V) and the mentioned link here.

    Hello

Given that you already activated this product key, activation of the internet will not work.

Launch activation and choose the show me other ways to activate the option.

    Select the phone activation option.

When you call the number you will be offered a few saved options, do not select one of these and you will be connected to a representative directly.

Your image of parent intervenes using a KMS or MAK?  The best answer is to use KMS activation.

You can also try to issue a /rearm slmgr.vbs at the first boot of the image.  You can only run 3 times, so do not run on the base image, only the related clones.

  • With leopard 10.6.8 running Windows XP on vmware fusion 3.0 NVIDIA problem

    Hi guys,.

really impossible to install my NVIDIA graphics card, Windows XP with VMWare fusion.

In the past it was ok, maybe it was the Snow Leopard update?

    Model ID: MacBook6, 1
Processor name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor speed: 2.26 GHz

    RAM: 4 GB

    I installed the bootcamp drivers

    I have re-installed VMWare tools

Even the graphics card is not recognized, I can't install nvidia drivers (download them from the site Web of Nvidia again) and he is not able to play some video files widely.

SH # "and I work with video and need to run some progs windows for it.

    Have you heard of this?

    Obrigado

"In the past, it was ok.

Huh?  The virtual machine will NEVER see the physical GPU to your host!  He will ALWAYS see the VMware SVGA II (or VMware SVGA 3D) video card.  You IMPOSSIBLE and WAS NEVER ABLE TO, install the video driver from your host on your comments.

  • Using the stand-alone converter 5 with entry as local windows 7 in vmware fusion 4 output, the output is a folder with many files. How can I get this folder into a single file with the extension windows7.vmwarevm?

I use standalone converter where I am converting my local windows 7 in vmware fusion 4 at the exit. When I made the migration wizard previously, I had an output of a windows7.vmwarevm file. However, when I made the converter, I had a folder called windows7. In this case, I had several files.

Is there a way for me to convert all these files into one file, that is to say: windows7.vmwarevm? do I need to use the converter or other vmware tools?

    Welcome to the community,

Please take a look at Re: how to convert a package/package of my folder on drive hard/vmware fusion? to see if that helps. This is a pretty old post, but I think that it is still valid.

  • Windows XP inside VMware - not compatible with ImageX or WDS

I have VMware Workstation 7.1, and I have Windows XP Professional installed inside VMware. I tried to boot the system by using windows PE and to navigate the hard disk of Windows XP, but it has not been found. Also tried boot from a WDS server and the Capture Image Wizard has not yet shown a hard drive on the hard disk.

I tried with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and it detects the hard drive. I also tried to install Windows XP in VirtualBox and start WinPE and he showed the hard drive... This suggests that there is something incompatible with Windows XP and VMware image? Do not know what is happening.

Well you have Windows XP configured to use a SCSI hard disk, and you must have vmscsi.sys loading driver controller SCSI from VMware in WinPE or you will not have access to it.
