  My of my Satellite A200-1js dvd rom is not working very well. When I try to burn, a dvd is only recording at 4 x.
  But I want more speed because the original dvd are 16 x and it can operate at this speed.

  As far as I know burning and playback speed depends on the material (CD/DVD drive). Looks like your CD/DVD drive can burn to DVD at 4 X max.

  Don t think so; first an update is not available, and second, the material is not able to burn faster.

  By the way; I burn my DVD still at 1 x because the quality is much better and more DVD players can read burned environment!

• Can burn you CDs of PES 9 Organizer in the sequence of photos shown?

  Am new on the PES and just loaded PES 9 to organize a few photos of the Grand Canyon hiking trip.  Of pictures of three different members carmeras and as being able to merge all the photos in order to travel in the Organizer.  Wanted to make a DVD of all the photos in the organizer of sequences for all members but have not been able to do.   The DVD of photos by default organized by types of files from camera.  Is it possible to copy the photos on a DVD so that they remain in the sequence of the Organizer?  Wanted to each Member a copy they could print photos of easily.  Didn't do as a slideshow, but can if it's the only way.

  The key is to export under the file menu (not on the command export Organizer tab) and then as shown below, select file name of common base which is sequential number included.   Now I have a picture disc (941 photos!) of three different cameras that are in the sequential firing order

  You can configure the computer to boot & check if you can burn DVDs. It will start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps eliminate software conflicts.

  I can't burn files to DVD, I can play DVDs fine. I tried with 2 software:

  Have you tried a few different brands of media? Sometimes the burner just don't like some discs. If so, the only thing I can think of to try is to boot from a Linux Live USB and see if it can burn DVDs from a Linux program as k3b for burning. That solve a software problem (Windows).

  I recently bought a laptop TouchSmart tx - 1027ca, as well as support for laptop from HP that I have the laptop usually sitting in tablet mode.  I was wondering if the DVD can be burned at this angle, or if it must be flat on my desk.  I use currently stand is more high angle, but I guess I want to know if it is possible to burn at any one of the three angles.  Also, assuming you can burn at this angle, y at - it no worries about data not being not saved properly compared to if the laptop flat seat.

  OK, ok... just for the pleasure of making this post solved (which I hope it will be Lethal), yes you can burn DVD-R at any angle with the support and there is no data corruption. (This can also be confirmed by the fact that some desktop computers are designed to lie flat on a desk like standing vertically in a position to 'tour' and it is possible to burn media in this position without any problem).

  If it's a DVD-ROM and CD - RW "combo", then you will not be able to burn DVDs with the device, only the CD.

  The front of the tray has normally symbols tell you what features are supported.
