Windows 8 creates horizontal tear in dual screen

Sensitive to video games and video playback, moved not using Windows 7 on the same hardware and or when you select extend this view/show only on: Windows 8.

I tried with 3 different graphics cards. HD4000 Intel and AMD HD6870 NVIDIA GTX680 - same result with each of them. This means that it certainly has something to do with how Windows 8 handles this.

Same problem with my MSI GT780DX (GTX 570 M graphics card).
Just my monitor integrated comps tears... not my TV.
Not worth the time of the demotion to Win7, however. Just wait for an update of win8 which will solve this problem.
Windows 8 Pro.
He's going to tear with any monitor as a secondary monitor, this isn't just a problem with the Samsung TVs.

I fixed that by setting the screen at 60 Hz refresh rates, one of them was set at default 59hz

  • Satellite Pro M10 - horizontal lines on the screen in different areas

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help.
My Satellite Pro M10 seems to suffer a display problem where I have horizontal lines on the screen in different areas.
It would be well for 10 minutes and when the laptop seems to warm up this problem begins, then shortly after
The laptop would crash and enter in a resolution of 800 x 600 16 colors or sometimes freeze.

Graphic drivers have been resettled, and even a new installation of Windows XP from the recovery CD does not help.
A reboot doesn't solve what the same thing happens again and after one minute of use, so I thought it might be a video or cooling problem.
I changed the video card I had a spare part of my last motherboard hoping this would solve the problems, but the problem persists.
Perhaps a cooling problem? Or problems of motherboard?
The motherboard has been replaced twice, hoping that this isn't another mobo problem.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure but to me it looks a bit like an overheating problem
Maybe the graphics card may not be properly cooled after a certain period of time and that's why these strange horizontal lines appear on the screen.

I wonder how you were able to replace the graphics chip on the motherboard?  :|
If I m not wrong not the chip is fixed and the replacement is very easy and difficult

It of always difficult to say what's maybe wrong without running several diagnostic tests in most cases this problem may be related to the defective chip or motherboard and so the following should be checked

Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

  • How to manually create another resolution of the screen?

How can I create another resolution of the screen manually which is not available in Windows 7?

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with 1 package of Service on my MacBook Pro 17' via bootcamp.

I want to create a screen resolution 1680 x 1050 because of 17' manually but am not able to do. Hight resolution proposed is only 1600 x 1200 and the results are signs and distorted images.

How to change the screen resolution correctly? Updates Windows (more than 200) that are not installed so far for it takes very long time will help?

Do I have to install an additional specific driver?

I did two things both of samt: I installed all Windows updates and I've updated the PnP Monitor driver. After a new start in Windows 7, the screen resolution was automatically correct (1920 x 1200).

  • My laptop thinks that he is in dual screen mode.

Last night I tried to connect my Dell XPS 17 laptop to my TV via the HDMI port and I would get "No signal" on tv as if she didn't even know that the HDMI cable is connected. I failed her and finally found that there was no sign of my Nvidia graphics card in Device Manager (I had problems before graphics card.) All I had to do was update the driver and the new software has been installed and both monitors worked well.

Since then, after I disconnected my TV, my laptop randomly enters a dual mode screen in which "projector only" must be engaged because my screen goes black but I still audio. Need me 5 minutes to continuously hit Fn + F1 to switch screens where I can hit the windows key + p and return to the screen only. It seems that the times, he jumps in to start, restart, or after hibernation. • Dual screen monitor - bad resolution options

I have a Dell Latitude E6420 running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit which I use to several jobs in various locations.  Most have a docking station connected to one or two screens (one VGA, one DVI).  I run dual screen as often as I can, so, even at a workstation with a single monitor, I use the screen as a second monitor.  I also give presentations from my laptop, usually via a VGA connection port of the laptop.

There is a special meeting room which has two screens plasma inside that depend on a VGA connection (must therefore always show the same performance and appear as the single monitor when connected to the laptop).  I use a lot this room.  Until recently, when I plugged it monitors would show an image full screen to ordinary resolution (800 x 600 or 1024 x 768).  I use these as secondary monitors, with my laptop as main screen.  I have check all monitor activity through the interface of the Intel HD 3000 graphics driver.  The pilot is the last available from Dell (9.17.10.3040).

However, now when I plug in this House, secondary monitors show an image in a hurry (abscissa) and the single resolution options offered by the pilot are 1366 x 768 and 4 x 3.  Yes, FOUR by THREE pixels.  None of these are the native resolution (which should be 1024 x 768).  Nothing I can will get monitors to display full-screen with good resolution.  My colleague, with (in theory) the same laptop has no problem.

There also seems to be some sort of cache or memory for monitor configurations.  Whenever I drop down to a workstation, Windows automatically configures the monitors in the way they were last time I was there (so with the monitors in the correct locations, resolutions, etc.).  Is it possible to reset this memory, so that I can start from scratch?

    Hello

Please contact Microsoft Community. I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing right now. The issue you described can occur due to the incompatibility of the display drivers. So let me help you with that.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:

Uninstall and reinstall the display driver

First download the display driver and save it to the computer. You can download the latest driver to display from the link below.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=XGPWM

Uninstall the display driver, then reinstall it. Follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall:

    1. Press Windows + R, type devmgmt.msc , and then click ok.
    2. Search now and do a right-click on the display driver , and then click Uninstall.

For your reference, you can check the links below.

Portable computers support two monitors. The problem may be caused by two reasons:

    1. incorrect power setting.
    2. the problem with the drivers.
    1. you can download and open Microsoft Fix it for the question.
    2. update the display drivers. If no update is available, uninstall the drivers (and software), restart the PC, install the drivers (and software), restart the PC and then check.

  • The images appear horizontally stretched on wide screens

I am facing a problem where the pictures are horizontally stretched on wide screens. Is it possible to make them appear correctly on all screen resolutions? as the detection of the resolution of the monitor of the user and apply a script or something.

If it is stretched, one of two things happens.

    1. the monitors are not configured correctly.

2 and by far the most likely, who created the design did a screen which was not established to the appropriate resolution. It may have sounded good on this machine, but it will look horrible on each other.

Edit: If you are the one creating the graphics, make sure that your monitor is set to its native resolution.

If you are anywhere near an Apple Store, I would suggest bringing your MBP to and asking to help. For USB, you need to partition and format to allow to boot on a Mac, what Windows can not do. Then either create a bootable installer or install OS X on USB and then copy the installer it, boot from it and run the installer with the SSD as a target.
