The horizontal lines of the screen problems
Hello
Since I use Windows 7 X 64 on my T500 2241, I have problems with many small horizontal lines on the screen. The same one I have on an external monitor. With Win XP 32 bit, I never had such problems on this computer.
May that this problem is related to the video driver. I use: Intel Mobile 4 Series express chipset driver version 8.15.10.2302. I had the latest bios update for my computer.
Nothing helps. Y at - there a better idea?
Thank you very much

This means that the LCD screen of your laptop will have to be replaced to solve the problem.
External display display normal display shows that the solution to video display inside the laptop (integrated in the chipset or graphics module) is operational.

My apologies: fault a comma (and everyone leaves out commas these days), I missed your comment about what is the same issue for Linux. Just read too fast; no excuse.
You are away until a stream of fast moving without means of transport.
Otherwise, it sounds really not like it's material.
Double check:
- Cold start, immediately start tapping on F10 to enter the BIOS - if the problem is present in the BIOS, then the problem is in the hardware level.
- If you have the means to connect a VGA monitor, and the image is good on the external monitor, then the screen or cable is bad.
- If the image on the external monitor is the same as on your laptop, then the video card itself is bad OR not has no welding holding to the motherboard.
===================================================================================
Options:
- You have the option to repair the laptop yourself, and that includes to find out exactly what is wrong with it AND not break anything else in the process.
- You can send it to repair,
- Or you can thank for quality service and replace it.
Good luck! Think about what you want to do, then decide.

Horizontal lines on start screen
I started to get horizontal color lines when my computer starts. They sometimes completely hide the Welcome screen, but once I managed to log on all the normal functions are not affected. Someone told me it may be dust affecting the graphics card and the computer may need a cleaning on the inside. Does anyone have ideas, what is the cause before you call me an engineer and end up spending money that I can not ned to.

a light horizontal line across my screen
Product name: HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook PC
Product number: WQ874UA #ABA
A light horizontal line appears from nowhere through my laptop screen. What could be the cause? And how can I solve this problem?
You only a few days left of warranty then contact HP as soon as POSSIBLE and make a claim. The store may not deal with warranty HP claims then call HP right now. After the phone call, I would visit the store of follow-up.
It's a motherboard problem, pointed it out the fact that the symptoms appear on the external screen clearly. If it was just the screen of the laptop, you would have a good image on the external monitor. The video card on the motherboard is at the origin of the problem on the external monitor as well.
Anyway it doesn't matter what is my diagnosis, communicate RIGHT NOW WITH HP AND DO a WARRANTY CLAIM!

Horizontal lines on my screen when opening raw files in ACR
Hello!
I have a Macbook Pro to the end of 2013 with El Capitan installed 10.11.2 retina and all the latest updates for Adobe Photoshop CS6. I'm having problems when opening raw files in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR). I have lines of color on the screen when maximize/minimize the window cab. I've been in contact with Apple, but they couldn't find anything with the material, but my problem is still there. This could be a software related issue?
I'd appreciate any help or advice as soon as possible.
Thank you very much
Kind regards
David
Hi David,
It seems a problem with the graphics card on the computer, as the display is based on the graphics card drivers.
I suggest you to please go to the Photoshop preferences, then the performance tab.
Then please click on "Advanced settings", under the GPU settings and change the drawing in "Basic" mode
Also uncheck the option for "Open GL/CL', restart Photoshop.
and then open the images in Camera Raw and see if the lines still appear or not.
Kind regards
Tanuj

WinXP split the screen problem
Brand: Compaq Presario
Model: V6444US
OS: XP sp3Problem:
When the computer is turned on this morning the entire screen (from the beginning of initialization) was split into tiled copies of iteslf. Even when I go into the BIOS screen, it is too divided in copies in mosaic. When Windows starts, the entire desktop is tiled. Each tile has its own cursor, taskbar, desktop icons and programs. All the tiles to work at the same time (not individually), so when the mouse moves, all cursors are moving the same direction and click on the same icon in each tile. When a program is open, it opens all the tiles. No new programs have been installed and no updates since the last use (the day before).
Attempted fixes:
1. simple restart - no change
2 system restore - no change
3. updated - graphic driver is not necessary
4 anti-virus - cleanSomeone at - it clues on how I can remove the split and make normal again (apart from complete reinstallation)? Any help is appreciated thank you.

Go to the Lightroom preferences, performance tab, disable the GPU option. This is the usual solution for what you see.

I'm having a huge problem with FCPX. A computer captured as ProResLT and looks great desk gets all warped when they are imported into FCPX. No travel or transcoding took place. Reference is made to the original file (which seems well). I've included a short video link so you can see what I saw. Any help would be appreciated.
