Windows 8 deleted Mail application

My Mail in Windows 8 application has passed since start - maybe deleted page, don't know how.

Shows in "your apps" as long as it is installed, but not in the page 'add apps '.
How can I get it back please...

Try to type letters to the start screen and see if it happens.  If so, right-click it and PIN to return to the start screen.

    Hello

You can try this plugin I found on Apple's site, that should do the trick.

But if this does not work, I'd recommend posting your question in the Mac forums.

I have windows 8. I recently signed up for investigations and others, not realizing that I am myself, as this is my first experience with the world of computing!  In any case, I get 100-200 spam messages per day. Can they be deleted mass?

    [Moved from comments]

Which e-mail application do you use?  If it's the Mail app in the modern UI (on the start page), tell us where the messages are filed.  If they arrive in the junk e-mail folder, select the folder, and then click folder at the bottom of the folder list Options.  There will be a choice of 'Empty' it.

If you use another application or that you access your messages through a web browser, tell us which e-mail service you use and what web browser allows you to access it.

    Hey jayRads,

There is no concept sign in email and applications on the Preview version of consumer Messaging. If applications use the credentials you entered in your Windows profile, you will need to disconnect your account under settings of the PC users.

    -Isabelle '.
and we know that this is not a real answer to the question.

Since I only have a Local account signed in Windows 8... and when I click on the mail and forced me to Sign In (add account MS)... There should be a disconnect somewhere after I entered my hotmail account. Logically faulty if there is really nowhere to disconnect my hotmail. Even used Credential Manager/ne shows not my signed in accounts.

NOTE: All I can do is to remove all accounts from the e-mail settings, but it affects all applications (Messaging, people, etc.) which usually isn't my idea of disconnection from Mail only. :(

I want to just sign out since the Mail application (will also apply to applications that require a signature in) is possible.

Please enlighten me in this situation.

    Thank you

    Hi Ferdie Miranda,

Thank you for choosing windows 8 and we join on our community.

I understand from the description of the problems, you want to know the way to disconnect from the Mail application in Windows 8.

Windows 8 Mail app has been designed so that it will keep you in connected mode all the time so that you will be able to check your e-mail without connecting to the Web-based e-mail.

The steps in the thread you mentioned are quite correct.

If you want to disconnect, please delete your account.

  • How can I delete my emails in bulk in the Mail application?

    Original title: deleting email

I have yahoo mail and I'm on windows 8 How can I delete my emails in bulk

    Hi Lynn,

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community and we give the opportunity to help you on this question.

According to the description of the problem, it seems you want to delete the emails in bulk from the e-mail account.

I would like to ask a few questions on this topic to help you best:

    (1) do you use Windows 8 Mail app on the computer?
    (2) did synchronize you with Windows 8 Mail app Yahoo mail account?

If you use Mail app to view emails on the computer and that you have configured the account Yahoo mail with the Mail application, then, you can delete messages by selecting the mail by using the Remove option.

I rather suggest that you follow the instructions below to find it's much easier:

    (a) click on one of them, the messages you want to delete.
    (b) press and hold the Ctrl on the keyboard, and then click all messages you want to delete.
    (c) the list of messages must be all shady. Click the delete option in the upper right corner of the Mail application.
    (d) check if you have deleted messages required at the same time.

    It will be useful.

Please feel free to post if you have any other question related to Windows.
  • I can't delete my profile photo (s) of the e-mail application Outlook in Windows8.

I can't delete my profile photo (s) of the e-mail application Outlook in Windows8. I managed to remove from the desktop version, but there is a profile picture for both of my alias in the Mail application. One of them is at least five years, I do not even add another. How can I get rid of these? It's boring say least, since there is absolutely no logical explanation for them be there or a simple way to remove them. I tried the MS Community. I am not connected to all other accounts (Twitter, FB) with the exception of Google. I already have the option to disable the third party linking.

    Hi, Paul Zanoni2013,.

Thanks for pointing out to us that you are unable to delete the photos profile appears in the application Mail in Windows 8. I understand that it can be annoying to not get this problem after trying the suggestions that you are looking for. We review and try to get this resolved.

Please check if the same pictures as profile appear in your account on https://profile.live.com? If so, then delete it pressing on Remove. If a different profile picture appears, then it is possible that you are connected to another account on the Mail app. Can you please check it?

Please also send us a screenshot of the images appearing in the Mail application, and provide your address e-mail affected for further investigation. I have provided a secure private message where you can download them. Just make sure that you are connected to this site to see the link in private message notification.

We look forward to your response.

    Kind regards

  • Mail application will not keep email deleted out of my Inbox

The Mail app will not keep email deleted out of my Inbox. I remove a bunch of old email, and then it reappears in my Inbox, next time I open the Mail application.  This happens in the Mail application on all my devices: mobile phone of Nokia Surface, computer,.  The web version (Outlook.com) works correctly.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mail app Ant it does not solve the problem.

    Hello

This could be a problem with the e-mail application on the computer that could request an update.

You permanently delete emails or they are stored in the folder to be deleted?

If the mails that remove you are not important, I suggest trying to permanently delete and check if you still find in the Inbox when you start Mail app next time.

In mail application Windows 8 to remove the mass once emails at a time, you must hold down the ctrl key and right click on the email you want to delete. Move delete the folder and delete the emails from here too. Close the application and restart it to see if it returns back. If so, you can proceed with the following methods:

    Method 1:

Download and run the troubleshooter modern UI App and check. Check out the link:

  • iOS deleted everything in my Yahoo Mail Inbox Mail application.  How can I get it back?

I used Yahoo Mail for 20 years and liked that I can access from any iPhone, iPad or PC and it's still there.  Unfortunately, my world came crashing last week, when more than 50,000 messages that had accumulated in my Yahoo Inbox disappeared suddenly when checking email on my iPhone 5 using iOS sending app.  I assumed that it would correct itself, as occasionally messages disappear briefly when loading new e-mail messages, but the Inbox was EMPTY, and only new emails seems to me from there on.  Incredibly, all of the messages that I had previously moved to separate folders (received, sent mail, specific topics that I have filed, etc.) were still there in the intact files in my Yahoo Mail, but no messages left in the Inbox disappeared.

I tried every trick I knew to try to fix it: I have closed the mail application, turned the iPhone off the power, then press.  I pressed the power button / stop and the Home button for soft reset.  I logged all of my account My Yahoo Mail devices, turned the phone market and and back logged in but mail is still missing and 5 days later did not return.  I tried to look at my Yahoo Mail on my desktop PC using the main Yahoo Mail Web site interface but nothing but appeared new messages in my Inbox.  I looked into other folders, but they weren't there, except that I've seen some messages for the 3 days before the disappearance of the Recycle Bin.  Some of those I know, that I put in the trash, but some I do not think that I have deliberately trashed, so I moved those that I could go back to the Inbox.  Any device I had used in the past who had e-mail in the Inbox "also disappears because it connects to the internet to update content.»

I then spoke with Yahoo Mail tech support people, and they said that unfortunately they have seen this happen before, if a third-party app like iOS mail is used and send accidentally deleted from the Yahoo Server using an IMAP connection, and because the application Yahoo or Yahoo site has not been used to remove their restore files do not contain the missing email and they are unable to restore the missing emails.  Only if the emails were deleted on their servers, mail would be available in their restoration files.  It's so frustrating.  I want to my house burned down and I lost so many things that were always available for pick up by looking in my emails.  Someone at - it any other ideas?  Has anyone else had a similar experience?   I don't know exactly how it happened, but maybe accidentally pressed the button "all the trash ', but I guess that one would need to first, right 'select all '?

Help! and I thank you in advance

    Hello bufmedstud,

This answer is for those who encounter the same problem. I'm afraid it might be too late to be useful for you. Yesterday, I met exactly the same problem as you described above. My yahoo Inbox was completely wiped out from the native Mail app in my iphone. I was looking at my Inbox (30 000 + sends emails of my deceased mother where to go) and all of a sudden he went empty, nothing in my trash and not found. I have disconnected and connected to yahoo mail from a browser (my computer) as well as my regular Mac Mail application in my computer and they were all gone.

I searched online and feared the worst. Apparently the glitch in iOS has touched many. So I immediately deleted my accounts (Gmail and Yahoo) from the Mail application in my phone and download Gmail and Yahoo apps to prevent a third party manage my Inbox. Until I found this link:

    Help.yahoo.com/l/US/Yahoo/mail/ymail/Restore.html

I have filled out this form, and waited. The next morning, I received two emails from Yahoo support with no content, but also all of my emails back. I don't know what happened, but I would advice to act quickly before to spend more time and to avoid using the Mail app in iphone.

    I hope this helps others.

  • I have several .dbx files stored in a directory on a Windows 8. How to import them to my mail application?

I configured my Gmail account in my Mail application.  As, I exported my Outlook Express files and stored these .dbx files in a directory on my PC in Windows 8.  To import the .dbx files, I have read that I have to go in my WinMail application and select File--> Import Messages (by selecting the format of OE 6), import them from the directory in which they are stored, navigate to that directory, select the .dbx files and import them.

However, the Mail app doesn't have the file--> import feature, or at least I can't locate.  Can someone advise please how I can perform this function in the Mail application?  Thank you.

    John

My DBXpress program retrieves messages from the dbx (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) files.  You can then get my ceml program (free - www.oehelp.com/ceml/) to read.  Otherwise, you will need to get a 3rd mail program (e.g. Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, Outlook) group to import the files and read them.  The Mail App in Win8 will not read them.

As you cannot send an e-mail using webmail on Internet Explorer, as well as the issue might be with BT server.

  • Windows 8 mail application will not synchronize all messages

I have this problem since I installed windows 8 on free night. In the mail application, when I access the settings and select "anytime" option for which of my posts to show (it is a story of @hotmail.com) it won't. It's very frustrating because I would like to have all my messages. Can someone please advise if there is something I am doing wrong? Most of the time he struggles to synchronize messages from both of the past month. Usually I get to spend 2 weeks very well, it takes a few tries to synchronize from last month, and it won't work never at any moment. Help, please!

I just fixed problem mail app sync. Click mail application should be open, and then open charms, go to settings, open accounts, to check the passwords for each e-mail account, mine was different an old password, so changed, works fine now.
