Windows 8 start not
I have a windows system 8 G500 and my windows that I don't know what happened, but when I start it, it displays the windows logo and then a black screen appears with the cursor, the cursor will move along the touchpad, but windows does not show anything else on the screen. So, windows begins nor (I guess that the movement of the slider) is suspended.
I thought to reinstall or repair windows from a windows disc 8, but can not enter in the boot menu.
Can someone please help...
Got his solution to the microsoft forum.
The drivers installed were not compatible with the operating system.
They told me to remove the battery and start the laptop the power cord only. It worked. and my laptop works fine now. I downloaded new drivers from lenovo Web site and its all good now.

Hello
303 error code is a failure of the short test (DST) disk Self and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced. This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.
If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.
If you live in the United States, contact HP here.
If you are in another part of the world, begin here.
If you are out of warranty and you want a guide on replacing the hard drive you, please let me know - understand number complete model and the laptop Nr - see here for an explanation.

I recently refreshed my PC as it was slow. After finishing this refreshing and re - setting them up, I tried updating to Windows already pre-installed 8.1. When I did it asked me to update my PC with all its available updates before upgrading. I currently have 109 updates, installation, but it was 1 hour and it is always at 0 k, 0%. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you! : D
Hi, I had this problem too and I could solve it.
Let it download and go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and then check whether there's activity on file downloads of properties (right click on the folder and then click Properties).
If you see that the folder automatically increases its size Windows 8 is the download of updates, so you can check if there's activity on this issue by going in there and see if files are created in this folder.
So, if this happens on that folder and then let it download and after a few hours, it goes from 0% to 95% (it may be a little less or more) instantly.
I think that this problem is a glitch on the progress bar.

Hi scoobydoochick,
1. what recovery disc do you have?
2. you receive an error message?
3. you see the computer manufacturer's logo while you start the computer?
Looks like that there are some hardware failure on the computer that is preventing the computer from starting.
Will need you a Windows vista installation disc as recovery are different from the install disc and restore disks are created by the computer manufacturer, we are not aware of its functions.
Once you get the Windows vista installation disc, that you try startup repair by using the link below or take the local computer tech shop and the material tested on the computer.

Remote control does not not in Windows 7 Starter
Hi all
We have an application that can be controlled via the remote control. It works fine in Windows XP PC. But when I try to access the same by opening Internet Explorer on a PC running Windows 7 Starter OS, I only get the "download 0.00% of 0 bytes'. I disabled Windows Firewall and there is no software antivirus also. What could be the reason for this? How could I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Luxama
The system that had the problem was a netbook comes with Windows 7 Starter. We recently discovered that there are some parental control utilities in the netbook that has prevented the LabVIEW remote command access. We were not aware of his presence, and he had not shown any indication that he had blocked communication remote panel. We have uninstalled this utility & remote control began to work as expected. Thanks again for your help.

The failure of DST short is normally indicative of a hard drive that has failed and must be replaced.
The operating system and the software can be reinstalled using recovery discs that you made or purchased from HP.
In order to use the recovery disks, you need to replace the hard drive with one of the same storage capacity or more.

Windows 7 does not start after update
My problem started with an automatic update in the last 48 hours. Worked well previously. After installing the update? I'm more able to start. BIOS works great and then Windows 7 hangs at the homepage. I tried to restore it on several points and now he is responsible for the paper painted and hangs there.
Under Update installed, the newest I see one is June 11. I don't see the dates for updates of office 2007 etc..
It starts in safe mode with network fine. I used the windows disk to start troubleshooting and restoration. Any ideas on the next steps? Not a problem before the updates. I'll turn off the automatic updates but you need to know how to precede to recover my computer
Thank you

Hi PMMDOC,I assume that your system works very well after running system restore from the system recovery options .After the system restore, you can install the updates manually one by one to check the update is causing the problem to occur. If the problem persists, you can do the Startup Repair by using the Windows 7 installation disc. It will automatically fix problems that prevent Windows to start. If you want as follows to disable automatic updates , you can follow the steps from the link below. (not recommended)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-automatic-updating-on-or-offAlternatively, you can install all updates in a clean boot State.

Finally, I worked it out myself. But it's painful to watch than virtually any other that Uday has responded to my problem. Something I've been waiting for so eagerly.
I applied my common sense and defragmented the dirives then sfc/scannow, and it worked. Cryptographic Services said when I began to log in as network account. So my problem is solved. Now, windows update works fine.
Interestingly, Microsoft Fix it, says it cannot start the Cryptographic Services. Are God, while the _____ you supposed to difficulty? It made Internet Explorer icon on my desktop and other places.

After auto update installed, Windows Vista does not start
Individuals:
Windows Vista Home Premium w/Service Pack 1 installed
Dell Studio 1737, 64-bitProblem:
Earlier this week (I think it's the 16th), my computer has installed an automatic Windows Update and restarted. When she came back to the top, it says Windows could not start and asked if I would so he can try to restore the operating system to a previous point in time or if I try to restart Windows. I tried to start Windows again (this time with my fingers crossed), but got the same message. So I went for the #1 option and after half an hour, or so, I got a new error. To be honest with you, I have seen so many mistakes in the last week, I don't remember exactly what he said, but I wanted to go to the advanced options, where I could choose a restore point manually. I have put back to point restoration 6/15 and had no problem getting Windows to start. Unfortunately... Windows REALLY asks me to install this update so at 03:00, after spending at least an hour and a half on the issue, he did an update automatic, rebooted and Windows wouldn't start again. So, again, I am through the whole process (it's the only way I found to manually choose a restore point) and me to start Windows. Then I disabled the automatic update in the hope that I could skip this update. However... Windows has put the updates to install every time I put it in mode 'sleep'. You can see where I'm going with this. Now, any time my computer stops for some reason, Windows refuses to restart. To make matters worse, the last time I had to go through this process, for some reason any he would not support up to 15 and I had to try again and it backwards until the 13th. Please help me!You did little to restore the system.
Hide this particular update, if you do not need!
Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:
1. a System Restore to before the updates:
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next
If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:
Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.
System restore steps according to the info above.
Also:
2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
> then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
> Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the bad.
> or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it

Try going into the service by clicking Start---> Run, type services.msc, click ok. Scroll down to see if windows search is enabled. You can also check in Control Panel, add/remove programs to see if you have research above windows 4.0 installed.
