Windows 8 times in family safety works not properly - HELPP!

My son has been able to continue to use the time after its time.  In fact, the activity report of the user shows not despite him being for hours.  I called Microsoft who told me that I need to contact Dell.  Dell has freshen the whole system with IOLO (System Mechanic).  It worked for a few days.  It doesn't work any more.  I have blocked all the time that I must enter a password each time and allow increases.  Even if it does not work.  I put in the time, but he is able to continue to use it after this time must be complete.  Help!

Any difficulty?

Hello SpencerGamble,

Sorry to hear that you are having the same problem. It is likely that parental control binary files has become corrupted. To resolve this issue, remove all content under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental controls

Please help - it's driving me crazy! I got this to work!

I am using Vista Ultimate and a connection (cat-5) ethernet to an xbox 360 as a Media Extender (via a Linksys router). I get the error of the video:
"The files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly." Please restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer "."

I have a Happauge PVR 150 TV capture card installed, and you want to watch TV and my video files Via the Xbox 360. I can see the guide for lists of TV programs, but not to look at them without getting the message above.  I can also put in place a program to record, display the video thumbnail, but not play. Video files only will play are videos very select few years recorded only where there is.

My graphics card is an ATI 2900XT - 512 MB of ram, with the latest drivers.

I've seen a number of discussions on the web that describes the same (or similar) problem, but none of them seem to have no solution.

I had Norton Internet Security installed and it has since withdrawn because of the firewall. I had thought, it could be a firewall issue, but it is not. I'm now using the Windows Firewall for now.

I deleted and reinstalled the Xbox as an Extender media several times... no help. I have re-installed the complete drivers for the video capture card, it has not helped either. I checked and double-checked the settings on my router as well.

The xbox is set for the share on my multimedia computer. The correct files can also be programmed for sharing.

On the PC in Windows Media Center, I can view the TV programs, record programs etc etc etc all work.

Any help would be really appreciated!

  • Video error for a single show - "video error: the files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly.

I get a "video error: files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly."  Please restart Media Center and / or restart the computer. »

Windows XP MCE 2005 on a PC HP Media Center m750n with 2 GB of RAM, Intel Pentium D 920 processor and more than 230 GB of free hard disk space.

The strange thing is, it only happens for a show, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" at 07:00 on channel 55 Houston.  Sometimes it is live or recorded.  Shown immediately before and immediately after about 55 works fine, as does anything on any other channel. (Although if I leave the video error for more than a few seconds, then I get an error of the tuner on the other channels until I quit Media Center and bring backup.)

Maybe my computer is a militant fan of Star Wars?

If this only happens in a show on a channel and passes every day but others
shows on the same channel are watchable/recordable, it is possible that a copy

  • Manual lens correction works not properly.

I am trying to correct the perspective of an image in lightroom or in the vertical and horizontal manual lens corrections are not working properly, they are extending to the image in a weird way. I used these cursors repeatedly but I don't know why sometimes, they stretch the image. Here's a video that shows the effect of cursors: Lightroom: manual lens correction works not properly - YouTube. I would like your opinion on this is that you know how I can solve this problem. Thank you

Controls LR Vertical and Horizontal Correction lens are designed to 'fix' the perspective distortion. What is the perspective of "normal"?

Normal lens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lenses wide angle move the vanishing points more far and telephoto lenses get the close.

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Perspective_distortion_%28photography%29

LR Vertical and Horizontal controls use the focal length and camera metadata from the image file and adjust the image based on its effective focal length. A goal of 200mm if on a 1.5 crop body factor has an effective focal length of 300mm, resulting in an extreme telephoto perspective. That's why you see more "stretch" the image when you adjust the Vertical control, with a focal length lenses below)<>

The image file video YouTube has vertical converging vertical very light, slight clockwise rotation and distortion in light pad. You should be able to correct the image for parallel verticals with small values of Vertical and Rotation adjustment. I suggest using "Activate profile Corrections" (profile tab) to fix the small amount of lens distortion.

So always questions please post the image file on Dropbox or other filesharing site and I'll take a look. Thank you.

  • Family safety does not work on a new laptop with windows 8 preinstalled

Hello, I previously used Family Safety (FS) on my daughters netbook and it worked very well. I took my cell phone account that she does not have an account on. So for Christmas we he bought a new laptop (win8) of full size. I created myself as the admin, and him as a standard user with a different username than its netbook, and I configured FS for the new account on the new laptop. Well, I am not sure if more FS works on the netbook, but I am sure that it does not work on the new laptop to 100%. I tried over and over reconfiguring, sometimes it won't save even my applications updated. It simply doesn't get it. The only thing I can think is that, in the implementation of his account, it doesn't have an e-mail address, and I was forced to create a local account. Could it done than the FS functionality?

Hi, I had family security to work by removing the local account that I wanted to monitor and adjust it upward with a hotmail instead of just local account. Family safety has started working immediately and exactly as expected. I always think that theres a problem when people are trying to implement local accounts. Thank you for trying to help me in any case, if I need help in the future I will contact you guys once again.

  • In Windows 8 family safety does not work

    Separated from this thread.

I have the same problem. The websites that I entered as blocked does not crash. And when I contacted the technical support from Microsoft, a fool came on the line, tried to talk in general with me asking me where I lived, and when I started living there. I asked him to connect with a supervisor and the supervisor said I had to pay $99.95 for support. Bunch of idiots.

    Hello

Are you sure that you talk to the official support of Microsoft? And there may be a fee.

  • Windows 8 family safety does not.

Windows 8, parental control does not work.  He said "this account is being watched..." "and he's being watched, but I can navigate to all adult sites, even if the family safety settings are set to block.

SOLVED!  I found the answer.  You must set the rating system in Microsoft Family safety.  I chose the premiera (Classification operations Commission)

Without this setting, no site will be blocked.

  • Help! Family safety works do not (can still access blocked websites)

Help, please! I went again and again with every imaginable facility for months and I still can't parental parental controls to work. Each parameter indicates that it is on and yet my 5 year old son can go to any Web site he wants, including ones I have on the red list and those of work I did not on the green list, even if I set it to "allow only. Everything that happens is a small pop box up in the lower right corner that says something like: "this content is blocked, but what good is it? Nothing is blocked! He can always go to the site, he can still play the game that I don't want him to play. I don't understand.

  • Family safety does not wab browsing activity report

    Hello

I set up parental controls for a child almost a year back

and it has worked perfectly until about a month.

Now he sends to empty activity reports

claiming that it was not any web browsing activity.

But I know for a fact that this activity takes place.

Is anyone know how fix/Debug this?

    I already checked that:

-Name of the PC comes to /familysafety.microsoft.com

-On the website: date/time of last activity reported for this PC

is correct and up to date

-On the website: 'Activity tracking' is on 'ON' for the child

-On the PC: WPCMon is NOT running (in Task Manager)

If I log in as a child, or like me

-On the PC: Family Safety icon appears in the taskbar.

When I connect as a child popup icon says:

    "Family safety monitors your account."

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1. which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

    2. what type of internet connection do you use? Is it wireless or wired?

This problem normally occurs when the parental control settings are not configured correctly or recording. You may need to configure the settings to see if it helps.

You can check this by blocking a Web site and try to access it from the browser. Also, make sure that the child's account does not use proxy connections.

You can also update the family safety filter and check the results.

How to update the family safety filter?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Live/Family-Safety-filter-FAQ?woldogcb=0

Also, you can disable the antivirus if installed some and check.

    Caution:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • child of family safety are not online

I have two children, including one with a Windows 7 PC and a Windows 8.  I tried to set up security for the family for two children, but only the Windows 7 account appears "off-line".

I can see the Windows 8 child account if I log into the administrator account on the computer of Windows 8, but he does not appear in my online safety for the family page.

I read the Windows 8 and I have found totally useless - HELP online help!

    Thank you
    Paul DS.

If I understand correctly, the PC of Windows 8 is not yet connected to the Family Safety website and is only run locally.  If you want to manage using several devices online, you will need to do the following:

On your PC of Windows 8 at the splash screen, look for "accounts:, and then select"Add, remove and manage other user accounts".»  You should see your child accounts listed on this page.  Below, there should be a link "manage online parental control settings.  Click on this link - that's what says Windows 8 to sync with the settings that you have stored online.

When you have connected to your Microsoft Account (sound), you should see your PC under Windows 8 under the section 'Apply to these devices' page.  If you wish, you can also bind the user names, so that you get only one report per child, regardless of the device used.

Note that you need slightly different options on this page when you log out of a Windows 7 or Windows 8 device (for example, curfews are set in increments of one hour for Windows 7 and Windows 8 half-hour increases and more).  Time benefits are also a feature of Windows 8 only - so please do not expect it to work on Windows 7.

I hope this helps.  Let us know if it isn't.

  • Family Safety: could not connect to the site Web Family Safety - "try again later".

I am connected to MSLive with my account, the same one that I am connected to help with this issue.  I also see my mailbox outlook.com, so that my account is active and works very well. When I go to familysafety.microsoft.com, the URL bar changes several times, then I get a screen that says:

Something was wrong and we cannot connect you right now. Please try again later.

This problem occurred for me on three computers, more an iPad and an iPhone, so I don't think it's a problem of the cache of the browser or something like that.

My son, who uses his computer with installed parental control, trying to send a request by e-mail to me to approve a site that he wants to visit. It also gets an error message by. Family Safety properly blocking sites that I programmed to block, so that part works.

I did a chat live with a person with MS, which I linked to a response that did not work, then it disconnected. I spoke with another person who told me to call 1-800-642-7676 again. I did, but all the options that I chose was told to visit a Web site or another, then disconnected. So now I'm here.

    Can someone help me?
