  • BlackBerry Smartphones does not display missed calls if on the phone to someone else?

My 9000 blcakberry tell me if I had a missed call, if I'm on the phone with someone else... can it be resolved?

    Thank you

Firstly, you will need to inquire of your operator if you have the "Call waiting" feature, brought into service on your account.

On your device, press the green line to enter the call log > Menu key > call waiting. What do you see here?

On your camera too, always in the call log, press Menu > Call Logging > and see if the missed calls is checked. Do it and save.

Someone suggested that some Internet service providers log, but this has
never been my experience. If this is the case, it is not common.

In general, your internet connection is like a phone call. If someone
calls while you're on a phone call (or Internet), they get
a signal of occupation, but your telephone connection (or internet connection)
    remains.

  • My father has a 'tech', calling on the phone saying he's a tech for 'Windows '.

My father is having someone who keeps calling her phone number, saying it is a tech for 'Windows '. It just tells the "no, not interested", but calls are increases and becomes boring.

It seems that it happens started him then weeks more - his card has been compromised. Some college kid in a State that he was never actually the fatal error of the charge of their expenses of college and/or books on my father's card number.  Thus, they drew him/herself.

It does not use the very net except for Amazon gift (Christmas, for example). We believe that his card was hacked through Amazon.

Anyone who is tech savvy have some comments on how to avoid scammers on the phone. How they get all these phone numbers of United States of America to start cheat? Or you have any comments about what to do when you use your card to buy something on the net?

    Thank you.

Sorry to hear that your father is being bothered by these criminals.

Seems you may need to perform a review of complete safety on him AND his computer.

    Re of piracy:

    Your father is using complex passwords? Grab it with LastPass where you can create passwords on EVERY site that requires a connection. Passwords as 49jf = _ K & () * hjHHyt74 ><**htba jjlkk63%3***="" can="" be="" generated="" automatically="" by="" lastpass.......and="" you="" never="" have="" to="" remember="" them.="" read="" about="" it="" at="">

    Re compromised card:

-have him get one FREE, low limit ($500) Visa or Mastercard and never use that one for online shopping

-never use the button 'save your number of credit card for convenient future purchases. Enter it in fees each time.

    Re "repair Windows" phone calls:

Just tell him to answer the phone politely; Once they identify themselves as what they are, tell him you say thank you and then (without hanging up) it just place the phone on a table or a Chair and let it sit there for ten minutes. 'THEY' will receive the message that it is on them.

  • Received the phone call from 'Computer Maintenance of Windows operating system', is it a scam?

    Original title: scam or not

I just got the phone is off "Windows OS computer maintenance required", I went through the senario execution because I apparently files may contain a virus.  I got a number to call back and ask for Henry 02 80060075 apparently in Sydney.  I remembered and has a call center responded in the form of windows.  After going through several id checks which they knew my CLSID number but one of them that I take now is the same number for many people.  In any case I tell them I work for a COMPUTER company and would take my computer to work with them check.  The guy said that he did not believe I worked for a COMPUTER company, because I did not understand what they are trying to help me for a very small cost of AUD $110.  After a long debate and tell him, I thought it was a scam I hung up.

So my question is: Windows to call Manila on a Saturday night at 5:30?
