  • C4580 installed on Windows 7 Netbook - no scanning

I can't get my C4580 to scan wireless. Since I've updated my netbook XP to Win 7 32 - bit, my driver does not load correctly. If I connect via USB and load the driver of Windows, it will scan and print.  If I have a wireless connection and load the driver of Windows 7, it will print only.  And if I try to install the full functionality driver of HP Solutions, I get a C++ runtime error, and the installation will stop. The netbook and C4580 worked well under XP. I tried the Wizard installation and the Scan and printing doctor, but their solution always ends by installing the driver complete features, I downloaded(190MB), extract and I tried to install, at least 12 times. Only to have error every time.

I found the UninstallL4.bat file in the Temp\7z * \util\ccc folder, and which seemed to uninstall hp files. But I had to install and uninstall the software several times before finding the right configuration, with the exception of the installation.  I had to delete the previous drivers. Go to Device Manager and disable them. Find the right combination of Antivirus and firewall. And the last thing I did was put on the clock at the exact time system. Everything that it had to do with what anyone? HP makes the simple act of loading a driver for scanning/printing any more complicated?

  • Cannot access windows starter 7 netbook to my PC (IE).

Have set up a network, the Working Group, on my network which includes 3 computers, Chrome browser: IE PC, netbook running Windows Starter 7, laptopruinning Vista. PC and laptop connected fine, and I received the netbook PC but can not access the netbook to the PC. Please help - English, if you can, am not a techie. Thank you.

    Hello

    1. is windows XP operating system installed on the PC?

    2. were you able to access the netbook to the PC before?

3 did you changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: Run the troubleshooter network on Windows 7 netbook:

     See the article mentioned below:

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: By default Windows 7 computers will be in the homegroup, change working group and see if this helps.

Method 3: Temporarily disable the antivirus software and see if that helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Is it possible to receive all the updates for Windows XP after re-installing?

I realize that Microsoft no longer make new updates for Windows XP (form apart recent exception), but I was about to run a complete reset of my Windows XP Netbook when I thought to myself "I'll be able to get the updates?"

So my question is just that, if I turn my Windows XP Netbookreset, it will download all the necessary updates, to the point where Microsoft stopped, making them?

If not, is there another way to get the updates, I would need, or is it better to not run the factory reset at all.

    Your help is very appreciated,

    Sylar

Yes, Windows Update will always offer updates for XP that were issued before April 8, 2014.

There is a catch, however, (which may apply to the vilidjit) - Windows Update won't work for XP, unless service pack 3 is already installed.  It is also possible that it will not work until IE 8 is installed, but I'm less sure of that.

If your computer is running after a 'restoration provided the factory' earlier level of service pack for XP, you must download and install service packs manually.  If you have no service pack, you need to install sp2 before you install sp3 (if you have sp 1 or sp1a, you don't need sp2).

If you did a "restore to factory conditions", don't forget to uninstall any free trial of an antivirus program (the free trial period will be long expired).  Use the appropriate removal of the manufacturer of the virus program tool.

  • Windows are not lining up properly on the screen

My mother just got an Acer with Windows XP netbook. When I open IE, the window has been cut into the upper part (couldn't see the close button or address bar) and covered the lower part of the screen (so the Start button was not accessible). Is there a solution for this? I could not understand how to fix it.

    Hi MeredithRegal,

-Other applications work without any problem?

It might be possible that the button mode full screen was pressed by you accidentally.

Press F11 on your keyboard to exit full screen and check if that helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Print in Officejet Pro Office 8620 2103 windows 7 64 bit

I have exactly the same problem as Lazydog (HP 4920985 Forum post). I can scan but not print MS Office 2010 or 2013 my 64 bit Windows 7 desktop. I can print IE11, Adobe reader, Notepad, MS Picture viewer, but not from Word, Excel, Outlook, or Powerpoint.

The document will Flash up briefly in the print queue, and then disappears without error.

Also fails a test print from printer properties in Control Panel. I get a 'cannot print error Test Page'.

I reinstalled the drivers several times, tried the USB connection or network conections without success.

I tried the two drivers on the CD, as well as the latest drivers from HP, I downloaded.

I ran the HP print and Scan doctor and it reports no errors, and I can do a test print of ok.

I lived all the suggestions provided in the post on the Forum of HP 4920985 and nothing helped. (Turn off the firewall, reinstall drivers etc..) The printer works fine from a windows Desktop 8 and my Windows 7 Netbook and my computer laptop linux Ubuntu 14 running.

I only had 3 days to the printer, and unless I can make it work soon it goes back to the shop!

    Hi @Krusada,

At first I thought maybe it was the program, but after some research, I feel, the question may be the driver himself. Please try to use the 8600 as another pilot.

How to assign other print in different Versions of Windows drivers.

    The link above will guide you through the steps to assign a different print driver, I ask that you choose the 8600 if available, and if not, you can install the base driver 8600 here;

    OJ8600_Basicx64_1315.exe - for 64-bit operating systems

    OJ8600_Basicx86_1315.exe - for 32-bit operating systems

Is my version of 32-bit Windows or 64-bit?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a will not print from Windows 8.1

I have a HP printer Officejet Pro 8600 N911a that returns the 72234 error code everytime I try to print a document from my Windows 8.1 desktop (HP 1520 t).

Also, there is a single instance of error code 74899

The same document prints fine on my Windows 7 Desktop and my Windows 7 Netbook.

Firmware of the printer is: CLP1CN1416AR

Firmware from the Support Page of the printer appears as: CLP1CN1322CR (2014-07-18)

What should I do next to be able to print from my computer Windows 8.1.

    Steve

Note: This is the first issue I had with this printer that was bought a year ago.

Hello Steve, I hope you're well

Thanks for getting back to me with your info!

Yes, I would first of all, running the wizard of wireless configuration from the front panel of the printer (installation program, Menu, Assistant wireless network), make sure that the printer is connected to your network, then proceed to uninstall the printer, restart the PC and reinstall them both back on your computer.

I hope that this is the solution!

    Have a great Monday!

    If Windows 7 is pre-installed:

Computer OEM manufacturers are required to provide at least a way for you to reinstall Windows, if you buy a computer with preinstalled Windows - your netbook computer should have included a partition of your hard disk-based restore, check your manual for instructions on how to use it to reinstall Windows 7.

    Or try the following:

    Windows 7 is slow

    (1) unplug all devices such as printers, external hard drives, microphone, webcams etc.

    (2) make sure that your BIOS and drivers are up to date. Update of the BIOS can be risky, don't do that if nothing else works.

    (3) free Up space disc hard - the following procedure cleans them files associated with your user account. You can also use Disk Cleanup to clean all the files on your computer.

    A. click the Start button, in the start search box, type disk cleanup, and then click Disk Cleanup.
    B. in the drives list, click the drive you want to clean, and then click OK.

Note: To delete all Points except the most recent system restore - click on "Clean up System Files" and you will get another tab called more than Options. Now click More Options, and then click 'Clean up' under ' System Restore and shadow copies "and then confirm the deletion.
    D. click OK at the bottom of the window cleaning disc and in the message that appears, click on delete files.

    (4) defragment your Windows 7 computer:

    (5) reduce the start up programs:
    A. Click Start, type MSCONFIG in the search box and press ENTER.
OK the authorization of user account control and password if necessary
    B. on the general tab, click Selective startup.
    C. then change tabs by clicking on the start tab
    D. uncheck the programs that you do not want to start when your computer starts (do not turn off your antivirus).
    E. click OK, and then restart the computer.

    (6) disable some visual effects in Windows 7
There are many Visual effects that can be disabled safely to speed up windows 7.
    A. to do this right click on "Computer" and select 'Properties' in the right click menu.
