Windows Installer costs without disc?

A couple of years ago, I received a (pre-built) computer of PCWorld and as of late I had some fairly large problems involving viruses because of the Oracle publishes a java patched version is riddled with security flaws even more before the patch that they corrected... and now I have the famous zeroaccess rootkit (and not on this computer). The computer being pre-built they failed with windows disk you can do fresh installs unless it was made to measure. I don't see why I should folk £100 + for a new windows disk when I updated to Windows every time there's an update and I have a bit of protection best firewall/AV (2 anti-virus + malwarebytes.

Don't see how it's fair for me to pay for something when I did everything in my power to protect me even Windows is a virus magnet, do you think I should be forced to pay £100 + when I've already spent £800 on the computer + £120 on my AV protection still Windows decides to always get infected because these updates that are apparently meant to make you more more sure infact done the opposite.

Hello

When a company sells you a new computer, they must provide you with a way to reinstall the operating system, either through a recovery Partition, or providing you with a recovery disc to buy time.

Contact PC World and demand media re-systems

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Why force Windows Installer updates without my consent?

    * Bought a new computer, the other day. [Windows Home 7]

I recommend that you create a system image of each computer by backing up the installations of Windows 7 on an external hard drive. This will allow you to save the penalty to restore in the future in case of failure:

  • Can I do a repair disk for my 10 boot camp windows installation?

I installed boot camp using the boot camp assistant and not from my own installation disc.  It is provided in the boot camp assistant.  Sometimes I can't start windows and getting a bad_pool_header error.  I am asked to insert an ERD.  How can I make or get a repair disc?  When I open windows and try to make one, I am informed that I can not with this version of windows 10.

There is no repair under OS X disk to repair Windows. You must use your Windows installation for this disc. Or find a Windows program for such a purpose.

You have a hard drive partition to do - but you would need to contact/see the FAQ from the hardware manufacturer (HP, Dell, Gateway, Lenovo, etc) to see if and how.

Otherwise - you might have to order (pay for possibly) the factory restore/recovery of the value of the manufacturer.

  • HP Psc 1610 all-in-one: Hp psc 1610 without Windows installation

I'm trying to see if my printer will be able to work without the Windows installation disc. I have a HP PSC 1610 all-in-one printer. I'll buy the cable from Sun to hang it to the top, but I can't find the drive mentioned in the installation program. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a MacBook Air with Windows. Comments would be appreciated for what I can determine if I need to buy a new printer.

  • How do I start the installation of windows 7 started without back up

How do I start the installation of windows 7 started without back up
as I reinstall my windows 7, that the installation process has been abandoned that I forgot to plug in the charger and it now displays "windows installation was not completed. to install windows on this computer, restart the installation "How can I restart the installation..." i havnt made any recovery

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

My computer will display the BIOS boot screen then do nothing yet, I insert the Windows installation disc and I press F11, 12 > no response, F10 > BIOS Setup. What should I do with it?

    Brand: HP
    Type: laptop
    Model No.: Pavilion zt3000
    512 MB DDR1 RAM
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Dominic,

Are you able to get into BIOS to make changes?

If so, you can try to reset the default settings of the BIOS and check.

NOTE: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You can also try to remove all external usb devices that can be connected to the system and start-up and see if the system boots.

  • Windows 7 / HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Installation network without success

    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

    Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600

My goal is to enable the "Scan to Computer" feature of my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 on Windows 7, which does not find my computer when I try to use since the touchscreen front panel of the printer. The printer connected to my wifi LAN.

In the Setup program on the CD, I chose to NOT to install any software apart from the "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 software basic device", which installs fine. I also choose NOT to install the web services "ePrint" or him allow to connect to the network for updates or share of usage statistics, or none of it.

During Setup, the network "Check" concludes correctly the printer on my local wifi network, but the 'Installing network printer' part next fails still, having for result "Network Installation fails", no other details. The result is the same if I try again with "Real-time Protection" of Microsoft Security Essentials offshore, or with the Windows Firewall off the coast. No other antivirus is running.

The program "HP Scan" immediately fails with the message error "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not found."

Under control panel > "Devices and printers", I see a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. Windows installs and print with that printer without the CD.

Under control panel > "Device Manager", the printer is NOT listed under "imaging devices".

My Acquisition of Image Windows (WIA) service is running.

    Clues?

You try to scan from the PC using the scanner or scan from the printer to the computer?

If it's the latter, then the "Scan to Computer" function must be enabled via software of the printer installed on your PC. Then you should be able to scan directly from your printer.

If this is the first, and then quickly run this tool and tell me what it is:
