I looked into MSCONFIG and they are gone!  It has been too long to do a system restore or other functions of the round trip. • Windows browser jumpy and freezes - MS Word problem?

I have a Satellite L500 - UR. Opening a file large MS Word, my computer runs very slowly and ends by crashes. The main problem is with the Windows browser, because it gets nervous and freezes constantly, as if a program has been demanding a lot of computer resources. Funny enough, it only occurs when other applications are open, with Word. I checked the CPU performance when this happens and the two hearts seem to work well.

Also, the RAM memory seems ok. I run the tool from Microsoft Diagnosis, so at this point I don't know what can go wrong.
It might be a compatibility problem between Windows 7 and MS Word or something to do with the material.

I just wanted to know your opinion before returning the unit to Toshiba, as there could be a simple solution to this.
    Thank you very much
    Alex

From what you have posted, I don't see Toshiba accept that there is a fault. I would be looking at the size of the word files and consider if they need 'cleaning' - MS used to provide a utility on their website to strip unused text and 'code '... Word is not designed to write a book in a single file and no one dependent on the version made recommendations to deal with multi file documents. "master document" was one of the terms used.

  • Whenever I try to scan a windows installer opens, finally I get error 1706

Windows Installer keeps opening every time that I use my scanner, he said first install windows configures scan then comes up with a box that says: "the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-RoM... then when I cancel what happens with error 1706.» I have never had a problem with my HP Officejet 7410 all-in-one and was able to analyze things without this box to install windows popping up. I have already contacted HP and they did not help. Can I use the scanner if I continue to by cancelling the boxes, but it's boring because it keeps coming back. My original CD was for XP and I had to download a new driver for Vista last year when I got my new computer. It was working fine, but I don't have any other software other than the driver that is Vista. Like I said what is happening just started. Help, please. I already did the Malware, anti spy, scanned with McAfee, cleaned the registry and made a Super disk cleanup and Defragmenter.

I've tried and it works, thank you anyway. I had to discuss again with HP, who, incidentally, did not save my last conversation. I had to download another earlier version and get rid of my old, which is the most recent driver. All this because of Vista. Let's see how long this lasts until something does not work.

The taskbar seems to blink once a second about.  Owner thought that the laptop would die.

It is a sony vaio laptop running windows vista Home premium.

After he looks fixedly for some time, we have seen that it is not a screen problem at all.  There is a popup or window opening and closing almost instantly.  Text can be seen in the bar of tasks but not identified.

We made updates to date and scan with malwarebytes, spybot search and destroy, microsoft security essentials and same trendmicro housecall.

Each scan found it of own problems and fixed at all.

If after all these analyses the popup still happens under normal windows and as well safe mode.

Well we have figured this out finally.

The laptop screen is actually a failure.
  • Popup box Windows Installer continues and I am not trying to install anything?

I get a box with message popup window installer:
"The feature you are trying is on a CD-ROM or another removable disk that is not available."  Busy "HP Photo Smart Essentials, and then click OK" I keep cancelling the box and take another, and then another message asking me to insert different discs... I never had of the installation with the computer discs, so I don't know why it started.  It seemed coinside with a mouse that stopped working.  Sometimes it takes 26 or so time to cancel before the message stops anyone can help solve the problem

    Read the above info.

It's a problem with the software of HP, not Vista.

If the link above does not resolve the problem, contact HP:

Malware can stop security to run programs.

Have you tried to use these programs in Mode safe mode with networking that I advised you of? :

'Advanced options boot (including safe mode).

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=Windows-7

"The Advanced Boot Options screen lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting mode. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before starting Windows (press F8 at the rate of about once per second)"

    Also, follow this step:

Once in Safe Mode with network, download and run RKill before the scan with these programs.

RKill does NOT remove the malware; It stops the Malware process that gives you a chance to remove it with your security programs.

    See you soon.
