  Go to control panel | Default programs and associate any type of file or Protocol with a program.  Then the page down to the Protocols HTTP and HTTPS, and IE set as the default value.   Can also check the MAILTO Protocol and set by default WinMail.  See also www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#15 as info.

• Windows Mail could not connect to the server. ErrorOx800CCC92. Server accepts no username or password.

  This could be a problem of 'Orange', but all that is worth a go.  When I logged in yesterday the Windows Mail came into 'Authorising officer' and then stopped. Upward came a box asking for the username and password that I gave, noresponse and the box reappeared.  The zone mail server gives error Ox800CCC92.  If anyone has any clues, I would be grateful.

  Visit the website of your email provider and see if they have instructions to set up an account in Outlook Express.  They provide you with the appropriate settings.   Nobody here knows them, because they are specific to the e-mail provider.  So check with your provider of messaging on the correct settings to use for OE.
